I have used this particular style of character shoe for over 6 years, and every time I have the same issue- the heel. It wears down easily and is very thin to begin with, so once the heel wears down it becomes very difficult to dance in. Also the attachment of the heel to the main part of the shoe comes loose after a while and starts to wobble. No good in dance-heavy shows. I'm going to try something else now, sorry.
I was in a dance troupe that used these capezio's specifically, and I learned why ~ they're pretty. They photograph well and do wonders for your legs with the 3" heel. I've also spray-dyed them a few times and they hold color well. The inside not so much! I have these in black and usually wear nude fishnets with them, so the inside and strap leave black marks on my nude fishnets. Also, they hurt my feet after dancing in them for a parade.
