Danshuz' Hermes sandal features an all leather upper, synthetic loops with thong between big toe and second toe. Other features include a 1/4" leather heel and leather laces that wrap around the ankle. This is an excellent shoe for modern, jazz, contemporary, and lyrical dance.
These are a replacement for the Hermes sandals I've had for the last 15 years which finally wore out. The advice to choose the size smaller than your street shoe is right on. I will be replacing the ties with elastic or ribbon as I don't like the plastic-y feel and function of the existing ties.
I am disappointed in this Hermes dance sandal. The laces are plastic, not leather. The thong that goes between the toes is not good. The laces are stiff. The size is good. l ordered one size smaller than my street size. My street size is an 8 so I ordered a 7 which is perfect in fit. That is the only reason I'm not returning them,l and I need them for Tuesday. Maybe they'll soften in time. Very disappointed. Marion
I purchase a pair every couple of years. I remove the laces from the sandle and replace them with 1inch ribbon about 4 feet in length. With vaious colors of ribbons, the sandles are able to be matched with many summer outfits. They are perfect.
As a Middle Eastern dancer, I found this shoe more comfortable than dancing barefoot, in ballet slippers, or in any other dance shoe! I wear it for class and performance, and I have been very pleased with its comfort and style. My only complaint is that the suede bottom can get slippery after a lot of use.

Hello! I am the assistant director of a dance troupe; do you have a discount or wholesale price if I order multiple pairs? Thank you!
Unfortunately we do not have any discounts for dance troupes. However, we do have a discount program for dance class teachers or a wholesale program for business owners. Please call customer service to inquire. If neither of those apply we do have a bulk discount. For the bulk discount you receive a discount of 8% off of your order when you purchase over $500. - DDS Customer Service (06/24/2013)
I want to purchase the Hermes sandals, but I have seen contradictory information on the Internet. I am normally an 8.5. Your website said "order 1 size smaller than street size" - which to me would mean I would be ordering a 7.5 (or 7). Another website says "fit 1 - 1 ? sizes smaller than street shoe size" - so if I am an 8.5, should I be ordering a 10? What is the right answer?
Though we unfortunately cannot guarantee exact sizing, Danshuz recommends ordering down 1 size, as we get the recommended sizing directly from the vendor. - DDS Customer Service (06/07/2013)
My street size is an 8. I ordered a 7 which worked out perfectly. - Supper (03/08/2014)
