It is a pretty good leotard for the price. Rather comfortable and stretchy. The red color leotard runs a little smaller than the blue one.

The leotard was a gift to my daughter and it has holes all over it. this is the second time I order leotard from DDS and received broken, unusable leos. It seems like it was burned with holes in the front of the leo.

I'm an older dancer and prefer more coverage. This leotard does cover more but it still looks great. It washes well, too. I'm small busted so the lack of a shelf bra isn't an issue for me.

Very comfortable and flattering on all body types (I'm 5'9", 175 lbs). I've had this in black for years and I also own the pink one. They've held up pretty well, but the black has started to pill pretty badly indicating a kinda cheap cotton, but I would buy it again!

The fabric on this is thin and doesn't feel very sturdy. In addition, the zipper is too short for comfort- makes it hard to get on and off because zipper doesn't unzip enough. Like other reviewers stated, it runs small. I followed size guide and, if I were keeping it, would have to exchange for bigger size. This one is going back.

This leotard is beautiful! I love the cut and color (royal), but it is way way to small! I measured a small on the chart, but ordered up and it is still way to small (especially in the booty). So I am going to re-order in a large. I am 5'6", 125 lbs for reference.

I got this leotard in a medium and in the color black. I love it! I have more of a gymnast build and not so much a "ballerina" body. I have broad shoulders and a little "bubble butt" and I weigh 127lb. It works great in ballet class. The zipper stays in place and it looks nice. I like how it looks sporty too. It feels good and comfortable and is true to size. I would recommend this to lots of people!

Very tight, even in Large. Ripped near the zipper after wearing it twice. I would probably not really recommend this brand to anyone with curves or a very long torso. The material seems to be very cheap as well

I really like this leotard, but if you're having doubts about which size to get, get the larger size. I'm 5'8, 108 lbs and got the black in a small. I definitely should've gotten the medium, but other than that this leotard is really pretty and the zipper hasn't broken or anything.

I'm so glad i bought this leotard! I was afraid it would look too sporty and not ballet enough but it's perfect. The high neck is very elegant and the prissiness seams are very flattering. The leg line is a bit more high cut than usual which elongates the leg a lot, while the turtle neck elongates the torso, making this leotard perfect if you want to look taller/longer all over. I does run a bit small, I usually order size small but I got a medium and it's still a bit snug. There is no lining but it isn't see through so it's not really a problem. I was a bit concerned that the zipper would zip down randomly mid ballet combination, but it is very secure. I ordered it in black, but my friend has the pinkish purple color and it too is very lovely.

I love the look of the leotard. really nice looking. It has absolutely no lining and the fabric is very thin. honestly it would probably not look good on someone who is plus size simply because it has no support and for some reason cannot camouflage any problem areas. I get lots of complements on the style of it. good leotard, not my favorite

I wanted this leotard not only for ballet but also to use in everyday practices. I am a competive dancer of all styles and love how leotards compliment your body, this leotard stood out to me because of its neckline and I have seen it on my friends and it truly compliments every body type. I am 16, 5'3 and 120-125 lbs. I measured myself many times because I was not matching any specific size on the chart! my measurements were all over the place, so it was hard for me to choose a size! I am usually a small in pretty much everything so I went with a small, when it arrived I put it on and it was too small :( my butt was popping out of it and I couldnt zip it all the way up without it choking me! lol but I ordered a medium because the small was not too- too off (because i could still get it on). Its on the way now and im hoping it fits better. I recommend going a size up because this is made out of cotton so it will shrink in the wash anyway (silly me for not thinking of that!) but I am super excited to wear this in my classes, and even though it was too small when I put it on, it wasnt see- through so MAJOR PLUS, also for anyone wanting to, like me, wanting to wear this in say contemporary, the coverage at the lower area is not too wide but not too small so your safe to do tilts and stretch freely and confidently hahaha! I recommend this leotard for its quality, appeal, and complimenting it does!

This is one of my favorite leoteard.Others might complain about no shelf bra,but I like it.You can choose what bra you want to wear.It's comfortable and flattering.Hand wash it though,I machine washed it and it stretched out A LOT.Otherwwise I highly recommend it!!

I love this leo sooooooo much! Its made of cotton so it is super cozy but doesn't get hot, which is perfect. Like the rest of the Bal Togs leotards, it has the perfect ballet leg line; high in the front! I love the zipper and turtleneck accent, it makes it unique. Also the back is not open so you can wear a sports bra with it if you want.

This leo is pretty but I wish the material was better. I love the style but there is no lining so if you have boobs at all, you will need to wear a sports bra. It is great to wear with a sports bra. It's a good leo for class, or teaching. I am a instructor and I wear this while teaching, along with a sports bra.

I have always wanted a turtleneck leo however I was worried about the discomfort that could happen along the neck. the zipper was the perfect solution because I can just unzip it a little so I doesn't choke me. I have yet to wear this for class, so I can not rate durability. It runs a bit small in the girth (but im really tall, 5'6, 99 lbs) so it could be just me. this has a very elegant, and classical, but a bit fierce look. perfect for auditions, or workshops.

I absolutely love this leotard! I am a very tall ballerina, (5'9"), so I usually order a large. Aside from the middle not fitting very snugly (leotards never do for me - tall, thin dancer issues) the large fits very nicely! The leotard is so very comfortable, and I can wear any sports bra underneath. This leotard is perfect for those of us who really need to wear a sports bra but also want to be stylish! I wish this it was made in some different, not-so-bright colors so I could buy more!

I ordered this leotard for my daughters' ballet recital. The lines and fit are very flattering. All her measurements were in the small range, but her girth measured a medium by just 1/2 inch. Went with the medium and the fit was perfect. I highly recommend going by the girth if it is the largest measurement.

I am so tired of leos that are cut too low in front or are to small for people like me who are not blessed with flat chests. It is so trying finding a leotard that looks a least okay with a sports bra. But this leotard is nice because you can wear any type of bra with it. It is very comfortable but I only gave it four stars for durability because I have not had it for too long.

I got this leotard for auditions this year. It helped me stand out without wearing a different color. If you have long legs like I do, it makes you feel even longer which is great for ballet. Lots of compliments, and great for pointe class. I definitely recommend this leotard to anyone! Very happy with this Leo:)

If you are more than a B cup, do NOT buy this. it is not flattering unless you are flat as a board. It is thin material, no inside shelf lining and has no support whatsoever. The style is adorable and oh so jazzy, but I made the mistake of thinking that it looked supportive and fine for someone with a C cup. nope. just nope. Also, it might look a little weird if someone has broader shoulders.

I wore this leo for the first time yesterday, and I really like the slimming, sophisticated style. Although it does not have a front lining or shelf bra, it is perfect if you like to wear a sports bra because the racerback straps will be completely hidden. For reference with regard to sizing, I am 5'7" - 5'8" and around 137 lbs. I tried the L and XL, and the L is the best fit overall. The length of the XL was better, but it was too baggy through the body. I wish it were a little longer in the torso or had more coverage through the seat to keep it from riding up, but that is my only complaint.

I am 5'4", 127 lbs, ordered a small in black. The fit was nearly perfect; could have used a tad more length vertically in the torso. Overall though, it fits fine and I love the collar as it is very flattering. I follow "Ballet Beautiful" Mary Helen Bowers and she wears a lot of collar leos and wanted to try one myself. Very happy with this purchase, will probably get another like this in another color. Others mentioned, when they bought it, the zipper was 'scratchy'. Yes, the piece at the bottom where the zipper starts right about chest level is a little itchy. For now, I put a piece of tape around it and have no problems, will probably try and do something else later or have it sewn in. Lastly, material such that there is lining for bra, and no nipple showing through in the black leo colour. Great! Love it...Enjoy!

I am 5ft 3" and 90lbs and the Adult Small fits well in the body but a little big around the legs. It also faded quite a lot after the first couple of washes. I still love it though!

When I got this on Christmas morning I was so excited. I tried it on soon afterwards to find that it was a little short for my torso which is longer than most. However I tried it on again later and found it to be sufficient. the only thing is it rides up a little because of my long torso. Not sure what this would be like in a M. I got a small and I am 5'6 115lbs. if I got a M it might be too big. Also the zipper has this extension down the inside front of the leo and it is kinda uncomfortable but it's nothing you couldn't live with. All in all this is the most gorgeous leo ever and makes my legs look super long and I feel amazing in it. I can't wait to dance in it after break is over!

I needed a new black leotard and I struggled to find something I liked. This leo is the best leo I have ever bought. Its true to size, the zipper is fine, great cut.... everything. I'm 5ft 7 1/2in and around 130lb and I ordered an M. I want it in pink!

This is one of the best leos I own! I have it in royal blue and garnet red, considering buying the black one as well. The princess seams elongate your neck and head area. I dance collegiately and take class every single morning. Runs true to size. My only concern is the material, if not taken care of or washed properly (hung dry), I would imagine the fabric would lose its color quickly. Also, if you are a sweater, you will see the marks. It doesn't bother me, but I know some people are not fond of sweat marks. They dry quickly however, and I haven't seen a stain as of yet. Great buy! I wore the red one for an audition, as well. Very eye catching.

I got this leo in the mail the other day and it is now my absolute favorite! I got it in black for ballet, but I am seriously considering buying a different color one for jazz and tap! It is sooooooooo comfy and stylish! I love it. It really elongates your neck (the zipper and the turtleneck), especially with a high bun. The only bad thing is when you zip up the zipper all the way. After a few minutes it gets really uncomfortable. Other wise this is AMAZING!

This leotard elongates your neck beautifully. I love the zipper but when I bought it I thought it would be uncomfortable. Much to my surprise this is one of the comfiest leotards I have. Buy if you want something simple, beautiful, and just soooo comfy!

This adult small was a great fit for my 5' 100lb 12 year old daughter. She loves it so much she asked me to order in another color. The only negative is that the base of the zipper is somewhat scratchy on her body. Style over comfort, I guess, since she wanted a second one!

I'm 5'4" and would consider myself to have an average length torso. I decided to order the medium, and although it fits just fine, I could probably have ordered the small and been fine since the fabric stretches quite a bit. The only things I don't like are that the zipper is a little bit itchy, and there isn't a bust lining or shelf which I like to have. The princess seaming is quite nice, and the entire body suit lies very nicely on the body. I love that this leotard is appropriate for modern and contemporary, but also looks really nice with a tutu and pointe shoes. A good buy!

I love this leo so much!! It's thin enough to keep me cool without being too thin. It fits great, too. I got a small (5'7", 105 lb) and it fit perfectly. The leo is amazingly slimming and comfortable. The zipper doesn't even irritate my sensitive skin!

I am absolutely in love with this leotard! I am a taller dancer, standing at 5' 8", have a small bust (not even an A cup), and weigh 130 lbs. Everything about my body is long; long legs, long torso, long arms... I was super worried that this leo was going to give me a major wedgie while dancing, but it didn't! It stayed in place the whole entire time. It was also super comfortable! I would recommend this leotard to anyone, but especially taller dancers like me!

I love this leotard. I have very broad shoulders & this leotard balances out my girly figure nicely . I feel very athletic in it & I love the "princess" line detail to slim my torso. I can also wear a sports bra with it to help support the "girls". So far, the color & fabric has held up nicely & not faded. I have not had any trouble with the zipper, but after having the leotard on all day (I teach) the zipper does tend to scratch & irritate my diaphragm area.

*note, I have not worn every leotard in the world... ... but I've worn a lot and I love this leotard. I've had it for three years (in both red & black) and the color is still vibrant. I'm a 5'6, 120 lbs and a DD and the large is perfect. And for my fellow chesty ladies... yes, a sports bra is perfectly concealed under this leotard. This leotard is a compliment magnet and the black is perfect for auditions.

Bought these for a group. After reading reviews I put some of the girls in a bigger size than what they ordered it worked out well. They looked really good the style was flattering. The only negative was some of the taller girls complained of sore shoulders after a while as there doesnt seem to be much stretch height wise.

I just got this leotard and i am very happy! it fits perfectly and i love the way it feels. I got a large and i am 5 foot 5 inches and 140 lbs. I was worried it wouldnt fit but it fits great!

This is a fun and extremely well-fitting leo which I have seen in other brands for a much, much higher price. I wear it to modern classes with black tights over and even occasionally on more casual ballet days and it still looks pretty with pink tights and pointe shoes. There is no cutout in the back for which I am grateful. It is classic yet edgy. Love it!

This is my absolute favorite leotard of ALL time! It is so flattering and comfortable, its like wearing a t-shirt. I got the black one, and then went back for red! I would recommend it for any body type, but girls with bigger chests, beware that is has no support. You could probably put a sports bra under it. It wasn't a problem for me (im 5'5 and 95 lbs with a very small chest) and the legs are cut high enough to be flattering, but not to ride up! This is worth every penny!!!

I had this leotard for a dance company and I wore it every Saturday. I only had it for 2 months and there were holes in the side and by the shoulder. Also, the zipper always falls down and you can't wear a sports bra under because it will show.

If you are worried about maybe having too long of a torso or being a little bit tight in a size...ORDER UP! The material is not incredibly stretchy like some leotards and you might find yourself contorting your arms to get them into the arm holes. Plus, if you order a bit too small, half of your butt is showing due to the higher cut leg line. Then again for those without butts, I'm sure it works fine. Other than that, this is a "snappy" letoard : )

I like this leotard a lot! I love the styles you can wear with it. It can become a turtle neck or collar! The only thing is, is that it's very sweaty! If you do alot of dance work and get sweaty, I wouldn't recommend this.

I got this leotard in a medium (the size I always get, which always fits) and this leo fit HORRIBLY. I'm 5'8" with a short torso, but the bodice was so short and the legs cut so high that it looked like I had a thong on! Also, the fact that there was no lining (something I didn't think to be worried about) was bad, as I felt exposed and really unsupported. I would not recommend this leo unless you have a short torso and no bust.

I love this leotard! It's very flattering because of the leg line, which is not exactly ballet cut, but not excessively high cut either. Also the mock turtleneck makes me feel pretty cool when dancing. =)

My favorite leotard, by far! The high-cut leg line is very flattering, and I am able to control how low cut I would like the top to be. Very comfortable!

Very flattering, however, it runs a bit short in the girth. If you are long in the torso, order one size up despite what the sizing chart says.

What color red is the red leotard? Is it a true red, cool red, or more on the orangey side? I need a red leotard (sort of cherry) for a performance, so I was wondering what hue this would be. Thanks so much!

The red in this is a moderate red. Not too orangey and not too crimson.

Is the red option for this leotard similar to the frequently used burgundy in other brands? Or at least similar enough that it could be worn in a class where dress code requires burgundy? If not, is the berry pretty close?

Neither is close to burgundy, the red is a true garnet and the berry is a bright magenta.

is it burgundy or berry?

"Ber" is short for berry. The berry color is a deep pink/fuchsia color.

Is the sizing chart correct for this item? I have a girth of 56 in. which is pretty long. Most of the items I order are Smalls or Mediums. In the size chart for this item, a 56. in girth is listed under Petite, which is smaller than I would normally order. So, can anyone tell me if this item runs true to size? Which size should I get?

The sizing on this item is correct. To measure the girth you would need to start at the top of your shoulder, go through the front of your legs, and wrap back around to connect with your starting point.

I'm really interested in buying this leotard. I teach & I'm looking for something to keep me covered up & not show the straps of my bra. I noticed a lot of people were saying they were sizing up if they were taller. I'm 5'3", but I'm a DD cup. I was wondering if anyone with a bigger bust has purchased it & if the neckline pulled. I would be ordering a large, so if anyone could help I'd greatly appreciate it!

May i suggest possibly ordering 2 sizes to see which one works best, please take the sizing measurements for waist hips and girth also when ordering.
