I was hoping to find something that would give me some tummy support, but work with a very low-cut-back dance dress. After reading the other review that said it runs small, I bought an extra-large, but now I wish I had bought a regular large, as this one doesn't have as much tummy control as I like and generally isn't quite tight enough. Otherwise, I like the garment--find the material comfortable, including the mesh, and I really like all the different possibilities for the straps.
My only real complaint is that one of the plastic straps broke the first time I tried it on, and I'm sorry it didn't also have matching (i.e., nude) straps, since I'm not a great fan of the stretchy plastic straps anyway. And if the mesh is going to show in the back, the straps might as well too (wish slightly lighter shade was offered)
Gave it only 3 stars for durability, since I don't yet know how it will hold up.
I was hoping to find a biketard undergarment that would just provide a minimal layer to keep leotards from riding up and double as a bra, but this was not a good choice. Would that there was such a thing. I have not found it.
I had already been reluctant to purchase such a high-end item when it had plastic straps, which I do not like, and somehow I did not see that because it's classified as an undergarment, it is not returnable.
On top of that, the fabric is heavy in the non-mesh parts (no one would wear this for underwear!), and the large size is too short for me at 5'9".
Finally, even if I could get it all the way on, the mesh is scratchy and uncomfortable. Again, the direct opposite of what I would have wanted.
So I have a piece that will be totally useless to me, but I can't return it and would feel wasteful throwing it away. I almost would rather have just taken the money and thrown it in the trash directly.
I love Discount Dance, but this was just a disappointing item all around.
