I've been wearing these for years now and they are the best ballet shoes I've ever owned. It feels like dancing in socks, so it's really easy to feel the floor. Also, there's no lumpy pads under the toes or heel. They are thinner so they don't last as long, but I don't care. I usually buy two pairs a year. Follow size recommendations because it's not the same as street shoes.

I love this shoe. I've had it for almost a year now, and there is still no wear or tear. It's perfect for classes, rehearsals, and shows. I also love that the color doesn't clash with my tights. I would totally recommend these shoes to anyone and everyone. Best shoes!

I love the feel of these shoes. They feel like socks and hug the foot really well. I was worried about the sizing, but they were spot on. The only issue I had is that they came with a stain on one of them. A little disappointed in that, but a great product otherwise.

This runs very small! My daughter is a street shoe size 6 adult and it was recommending that we buy 8 adult. It was very tight and my daughter could barely even dance in them. We ended up going all the way to size 9.5, which fit her perfectly. Otherwise, they were very average ballet slippers.

These slippers show my arch beautifully, I have banana feet and my arch isn't usually shown so perfectly, these slippers just hug my feet and show a beautiful point, and the fabric is sooooo soft and stretchy and comfortable, they arrived a little smaller then I would've liked, so order about 2 size bigger then your street size! But the stretchy fabric makes fit great even though!

I am a US street shoe size 8. I read the other reviews and decided to size up 1 size to a 9W. They looked like child's sizes, but are marked correctly. And are sooo tight haha I shoulda gotten the 10. Lol did I order wrong? I got black canvas. Feels comfortable, but will rip though after a days work probably.

I wear a size 9-9 1/2 and the size fitter suggested 9M. My shoes arrived two days earlier which was just in time for me to use them in class. They looked really small and when I put them on they were really tight. This is a particular issue on my left foot which has a slight bunion. I've worn them for a couple of classes so now the right foot is fine. For the left, I have to constantly adjust so there's not so much pressure. It becomes tighter when I flex so I can't stretch as much as I know I can and when I point the pressure is relieved. So if you have a bunion, corn, etc. maybe go a little bigger.

We finally figured out the sizing with these ballet slippers on our third try, and after reading a number of reviews. My 10-year old daughter wears a size 2 in street shoes. For these ballet slippers, she wears a size 4. So, in our experience, I recommend that you plan to size up 2 sizes.

The inside of the toe patch is thick and catches my toes, especially when I point. The outer pads have a nice cushion to them, but I can't with the inside.
Street size 10M, sized up 2 and got a 12. They fit alright but I think an 11.5 would fit better. Returning these.

This shoe fits like a glove and shows off my feet beautifully despite having a low instep and only moderately high arch. I wear a street size 9 narrow and bought this in an 11 N for the best fit. It's easy to articulate through and great for turns. Can't comment on durability yet but I love the fit and how comfortable they feel. I also love that it's ready to go right out of the box. There's no need to sew them or fuss with drawstrings first.

This is my first Capezio Hanami purchase. I was curious about this shoe based on all the great reviews and after receiving the shoe I will agree with those positive reviews. It was hard deciding on a size...so many different opinions on the sizing. I wear a size 6 street shoe, have an average width foot. I ordered a size 8C...going up 2 sizes from my street shoe size. My studio sells this shoe but didn't have what I thought to be my size. After receiving the shoe I questioned if I needed a smaller size. My studio had a 6.5C in stock and I tried on that shoe and it fit great...I will keep the 6.5C. The canvas has a nice stretch and I like the round toe of the shoe. I wear ballet flats 5 days a week for teaching...time will reveal the durability of this shoe.

Wonderful! This is the best flat shoe I have ever had. I have very flexible arches and I have had a lot of trouble finding shoes that shape to my arch. This shoe fits perfectly, feels like I am wearing a sock, has wonderful friction, and I love that it does not have an elastic drawstring. I wear Capezio pointe shoes as well, and the size of my pointe shoes is the same as my flat shoe. It is wonderful to not have to figure out a different size.

I've seen a lot of reviews on here that say these run small and to order a few sizes over your street size. I found the opposite to be true. I had bought my first pair of Hanamis in a store and tried them on to find the correct size. I am a size 8 street shoe, and I wear a 7.5M in the Hanamis. I have medium to slightly narrow width feet. I found these to stretch A LOT when you put them on, like socks. They are very thin like socks as well. I found that I needed a half size smaller than my street shoe because of all the stretch. When doing multiple pirouettes or chaines, if the shoe is too big, it will bunch up and twist around your foot. It also just makes your foot look better when pointed to not have all the extra fabric. These are not the most durable shoe, the trade-off is that they are extremely light and thin and they show off your arch if they are the right size. I take class 4 times a week, and a pair usually lasts me around a year before they get holes. I don't mind though since they usually get so gross anyways, it's better to throw them out and get a new pair. I love these shoes, they allow me the feeling of a sock with the traction of a split sole shoe.

I am making poor rating because the sizing is way off. The shoes themselves are nice. Also shipping took a lot longer than 3 business days. I ordered 2 sizes up compared to the street size. The street size is seven I ordered 9M and they still are significantly smaller. Now reordering size 11.00, hoping that it will fit. Whoever is advertising these shoes on the website should provide accurate sizing. I realize that sizing could be not exact but being so much off is simply unacceptable.

I read through a the reviews because fit is always such a gamble with shoes and settled on ordering these in 10.0 W (I am normally a 8.5-9 street shoe with a slightly wide foot) Upon opening I truly thought, "oh no I just have ordered a child size!". These really do run so small, hoping to exchange for the right size as they seem like great quality shoes but I've yet to do so successfully.

Great shoes! It is nice that there is no drawstring that digs in to your foot, but the shoes also stay on really well (not loose at all). They accentuate your arches nicely and also do not twist off of your feet if the floor is too sticky.

I have decent feet, but slightly less flexible ankles so the line never looks nice. I also have small and thin feet which is a pain to try and accommodate for. I have tried Bloch synchrony, So Danca bliss, Body wrappers 4 way stretch, and none of them were as comfortable and the capezio hanamis. They make my line look amazing, and my feet really get showcased with this shoe. I am a size 5.5 in women’s shoes for American street size, and got a 6.5N and the are perfect! They fit like a glove and are my new favorite shoe, I’m definitely sticking to this one!

It's been a long time since I've bought ballet slippers, but in the interim the definition of the word canvas hasn't changed. The fabric of these shoes (described as canvas) is not canvas. I hate the fabric. It feels too thin to last very long. The length fits, they conform to my foot well, but the inner soles are uncomfortable, and the elastics are too tight. I'd like to stitch my own elastics, thank you. Not a fan. At all.

I know so many dancers who absolutely love this shoe, but for me, they just were never right. I probably had around 3 pairs of these because I was trying to give them a fair chance but they just wouldn't flatter my foot no matter the size. All of my hanamis got holes very fast (I dance a lot tho). I have very archy, small, feet and I fount that the shoe did not really hug my arch. Instead, I had about 2 inches from my arch and the shoe at all times. Like I said before, these shoes are perfect for so many other dancers that I would still recommend trying them out.

This is my second pair of these slippers and they are definitely one of my favorites to have ever worn. I like that they are stretchy and mold to the foot. i also like that there is no drawstring to worry about flapping out or digging into the top of your foot. I felt like the inner padding on the sole and heel of the show was a littler more raised than I would prefer, so it took a few wears to get used to, but it doesn't bother me any more. I typically wear a size 7 in street shoes, but I wear an 8 in these.

My daughter fell in love with these shoes the minute she put them on her feet. The 4-way stretch makes for a beautiful slim fit that really allows her arch and point to be highlighted. In many canvas shoes, she's sensitive to bulkiness under her toes and the ball of her foot, but this shoe doesn't bother her in that way. She's thrilled with them!

The canvas material has an elastic-like feel making the show fit to my foot well and making my arch look really good. One thing I wasn't a fan of was the elastics that were already sewn in. I loved not having to sew them but they were too far forward on the foot for my liking and way to tight for my wide feet which pinched the skin on my foot when I stood normally or flexed my foot. My main issue with the shoes is that they don't come up very high on the side of my foot making my foot look strange from the top. This could be because I have rather wide feet. Either way, they were super comfy and I got a half size bigger than my street shoe and they were pretty snug but not necessarily uncomfortable. I ended up returning them because they just didn't fit right and I would probably go a up to a 10.5 or 11 (my street shoe is 9.5) just because they were a bit too snug for me. Overall, great shoe and idea, just maybe not meant for me.

I went to a local shop and tried on every pair of split-sole stretch canvas shoes they had in stock, and this was by far my favorite. These shoes hug my high arches without any bunchy fabric, so they look great on. The medium thickness and cut of the leather soles is comfortable to dance on. The fully pre-sewn elastic and elastic edge instead of drawstring are great right out of the box. They feel very lightweight, like dancing in socks, which is fabulous, and the stretch eliminates any pressure on toenails and joints. I do think the fabric may wear out faster than traditional canvas, but since the price is reasonable I'm willing to take that chance. The only thing I dislike about them is the giant logo on the sole, which is a bit tacky.

I love these shoes! I used to wear traditional canvas shoes, and with very narrow feet, there was always too much extra fabric when I wore them. With these shoes, they fit like a glove. I'm an 8 in street shoes and ended up being a 9M. I didn't even need to try the narrow sizing! I love that there's no elastics to worry about either. The fabric is thin, and I feel like I can feel the floor better in them than I could in my traditional canvas shoes. My younger sister also has these, and she likes them too. My sister and I have had them for a couple of months now, so we'll see how they hold up in the future.

I LOVE these shoes! The stretch canvas hugs the foot, the front pad lies smooth without digging into the bottom of my foot, they're super comfortable, and they make my feet look great. The color's lighter than I'm used to for traditional ballet slippers, so they get dirty quicker, but it's no big deal. They do run extremely small, I wear a sz 7 to 7.5 street shoe, but need a 9.5M Hanami. A lot of other kids at my school switched over to this shoe after trying mine. Definitely recommended!

I love how stretchy the canvas is and the no drawstring. But I find the shoes extremely uncomfortable the pad on the inside of the shoe and hard and there is way too much of it it digs into my heel. The outside sole is not flexible and catches when I try to pointe my feet. BUT if you don't already have heel/ achilles problems and don't mind the think padding that they should be fine.

These are great shoes. Many of my ballet friends wear these and I love the way they look on them so I wanted to try them out. I got them and they felt super comfortable but they run pretty small. I am normally a size 8. I ordered an 8.5 just to be safe and they are too small. I am going to return them and order a bigger size.

My daughter has a narrow foot and precise requirements for how she wants her ballet shoe to be. It is very hard to find a ballet shoe that isn't baggy or bulky on her foot. This shoe is perfect. Ultra soft canvas that fits her narrow foot like a glove and satisfies her standards for how her foot looks when dancing. She has ballet classes 4 days a week and these have lasted nearly 7 months for her. We have recommended these shoes to many classmates who also have purchased and highly recommend.

My daughter has very, very narrow feet (AAA) and has been on the hunt for a shoe that fits well and flatters her foot for years. The Hanami hit all the marks. The shoe is very soft and comfortable, does not have the under sole padding that many shoes have, and stretches more than you would think possible. (When you pull them out of the box you'll no way these will fit, but you will be surprised.) The A width fits her foot beautifully, due to the stretch and the low profile of the shoe. With that in mind, if you have a very high instep, you may need to go up a width.
It does run a little small. She measures a size 9 and needed a 9.5, but that isn't too bad. (If in doubt, order multiple sizes at once and return the ones that don't fit.)
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because she hasn't been wearing them long enough to really test the durability, but they've already lasted longer than the So Danca SD16 do. She dances about 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, and can kill a pair of those in about 10 days. The Hanamis have been in use for about a month and are doing fine so far.

I used the size chart. She is a girls street shoe size 2. It says to go up 2 sizes and then look at the comparable adult size. It was a 6. I thought there's no way this won't fit. If anything it would be too big. She's in a Capezio Juliet size 4.5. I realize they're stretched out. I just bought her a new pair for Nutcracker at the end of November in Juliet size 5.5. With these shoes the right foot fit in length but the elastic around the top wasn't really tight enough. Then she went to put the left one on and couldn't even get it all the way on. Very dissappointed since I really didn't think they'd be too small. The shipping I paid when I ordered and the shipping I would have to pay to send them back will be almost as much as the shoe. I guess I learned a lesson and won't order shoes online where you have to pay shipping. It's just not worth it. It can make one pair of shoes very expensive. Basically 2 for the price of one. Lesson learned. Other than fit issues they seem very nice. The insides look as if they'd hold up better than the Juliet.

Finally, a ballet flat for narrow feet! These shoes are a dream come true. They are stretchy, yet not constricting, unlike other elasticized canvas slippers. I have a very narrow foot (like AA-AAA) with tapered toes so most slippers are baggy, but these do wonders for my arch. The soles are thin and work well for turning and balances.I wear them between 5 and 8 hours per week, and I find they wear out after three to four months. They're not as durable as some slippers as you compromise fabric thickness for the form fitting elastic fabric. Can't wait to see the nude ones in a narrow size!

I highly recommend this shoe. The canvas is very thin so that you can feel the floor and is very flattering. I will definitely be ordering them again. I run a street shoe size 8.5-9, but usually order a 9 because my feet are very wide, but I decided to go with 8.5 and picked the W width. It fit like a glove.

My daughter is a size 5 kids or 7 adult. We had to buy her a size 9.5 Wide in these shoes, but she LOVES them! They are the most comfortable ballet shoes she has ever had.

These shoes are so soft and feel almost like I'm wearing socks. They turn well and the pad on the bottom does not irritate the foot. However, I wear a size 7 and a half street shoe and the description says to order your street shoe size. I was fitted for my pair of Hanamis at a dance store and ended up buying a size 9W. I do not have a wide foot, so I highly recommend you go up at least a size if not a size and a half.
