I've been wearing the grishko pro flex 2007 shoes for about 2-3 years and they last much better than the newer 3007s that have mostly replaced them, so I was glad to find 2007s again!

BEST SHOES EVER!
These are the best shoes I have ever worn. I have been wearing them since January 2018 and they are by far the best shoes I have ever had. They break down nicely, especially if you rotate shoes and let them fully dry. The whole shank breaks down evenly, so you are never fighting one part of the shoe which was the big problem I had with my Russian Pointe Rubins and Capezio Arias. I have really high arches, flexible ankles, and tapered and compressible toes. They also absorb jet glue really well, which is nice because in a lot of shoes gluing the shank doesn't work very well. I usually have to glue the shank and under the ball of my foot, also at the front of the platform, at around 10 hours of wear but I have had to do that with all shoes I've worn. They're great and I would highly recommend!

PERFECT FOR MY FEET!
I have been wearing these shoes for a few months and I love them! My feet are flexible, strong, and have a very high arch. With jet glue, I can make one pair last for 3-4 weeks, which is a huge improvement from my old shoes.

BE CAREFUL!
Everyone, please be careful! I have been wearing Grishkos for almost 10 years, same size, width, and strength. Over the past few months, I have experimented with other brands and decided to return to my trusty Grishko 2007 only to find out they are cut completely different! The shoe has a lot more material making it much baggier and unflattering on the foot. The box of the shoe is also taller making the vamp wider as well. I am extremely disappointed there was not an updated description or I would have gotten fitted before purchasing another pair. As dancers, we are extremely sensitive to the fit of our shoe and know immediately if something is not right. I went ahead and sewed them hoping I could make them fit me better, however, it just isn't working. I am very frustrated as these shoes (or any pointe shoes) are not cheap. Be careful before purchasing another pair!

I switched from a Miracle to the 2007 two years ago. Best move I ever made. Love these shoes. I have a really high arch and narrow heel with some bunions. I trust this shoe. It looks good and I don't have to do a lot of modifications to them. I run superglue around the platform to keep it stiff cut the shank down half inch. However I have noticed that sometimes the platform is at an odd angle. I ordered 3 pairs recently and 1 pair the platform was very tilted. It pushed my foot far over the box and Really hurt my bunions and big toes. Its not the first time i have noticed this so I order several at a time now in case i get a different maker.

I previously wrote a review in January 2015. At that time, I was wearing the 2007s in size 7XX (I'm a narrow US 9.5 in street shoes). I have tried several different brands and models before and since that post, but nothing fits quite like 2007s - Bloch Axioms came close, but they're not quite as narrow or tapered. If Axioms were offered in a width or two narrower (i.e. NX or 0X), they'd probably be about perfect. There is a night and day difference when wearing the right pair. For me, the 2007s are comfortable, supportive, and form-fitting, allowing a more enjoyable experience en pointe. Recently, decided to I try them in size 7.5X and they were even better. In the 7XX, I used ouch pouches and spacers between my big toes and second toes. With the 7.5X, I could really go without any padding at all. However, I've been opting to use lambs wool pads - even my older, matted-down ones work great, as do the Ashley Bouder synthetic wool pads (which tend to be a little thinner), both of which are sold on this site.

I get professionally fitted for pointe shoes. I went in and wanted to try a new style since my old brand wasn't cutting it anymore. I got fitted for Grishko 2007. They were perfect trying them on. Did a few echappe, eleve, releve, and tendue. They were great. Skip to class. During barre they were great, they really fit. But when I got to center they weren't cutting it. Fouette were out of The question. They didn't work right. I had to switch to an old pair in the middle of floor so I wouldn't injure myself. Overall they were great for warming up and barre but the rest terrible. That was only my experience though. Everyone's feet are different and every shoe is different.

I LOVE THESE SHOES, BUT...
I have been wearing these shoes for about a year now and they are great. They fit my foot so well that I don't even need toe pads in them. I have really high arches so I get the hard shank and they support my foot well while still making my feet look good. They usually last me about 2 1/2 or 3 weeks before they die but the last 4 or 5 pairs I have gotten from November 2015 until now have been dying unusually fast and not how they usually die. I always kill the shank before the box but the past 4 or 5 pairs the platform has gotten really soft within about 1-1 1/2 weeks like to the point where I can push it in; so I am basically dancing on the floor because the platform in so soft. This never used to happen. My last pair the platform got soft in about 3 or 4 classes. I don't know if it is me or the shoes but if you buy these I suggest buying some jet glue and gluing the shoes before you wear them.

AWESOME SHOE
These are my favorite pointe shoes I have tried in my years dancing on pointe. Many of the girls at my studio where them because of the adaptability to look good on any feet. They taper the foot nicely, giving it a nice winged look and highlight the arches. These shoes are pretty easy to break in, it is hard to break the shank area nearest the box, but once you hit the sweet spot it is easy from there. The box holds up nicely, occasionally the shoes will become soft fast in a random place, but no shoe is made the same and this has only occurred once in the 20 something pairs I have purchased. The shank on the soft shoe gets too soft relatively quickly, but this is mostly due to my own foot and not because of the shoe itself. I think this is a great product and is my first recommendation for anybody looking for a new pair of pointe shoes.

WORST FIT EVER FOR MY NARROW, TAPERED FEET
I have tried just about every brand out there due to my hard to fit, narrow, tapered, compressible feet with disappearing heel. After hearing how great these shoes are, and the popularity of them, I thought I would give them a try, since they have what seemed a great narrow option.
1. PAINFUL! The most painful of any brand! It seemed no amount of padding would soften the unbearable pain on my big toes! Just trying them out for a minute also bruised the metatarsals on both feet. Furthermore, I don't know how someone with a very narrow metatarsal could have that wide a heel, but even with heel grippers, the sagging made it impossible to even think about keeping them on. I knew if I sewed the elastics further back, it would just result in a lot of ugly material bunching up.
2. NOISY! Highest decibel rating I have tried!
3. APPEARANCE. I thought they actually looked cheap and unattractive as a shoe and made my feet look flat. I adored the beauty of Russian Pointes' smooth, elegant satin and V-cut. Even with strong feet, I couldn't get adequately over the box, the shank really held me back. I got the hard shank, which I have always used in Russian Pointe Rubins, thinking it would be comparable. Though the Rubin was still a bit too wide even in the W1, they were the best fitting option until I ended up finally trying Gaynor Minden. I regret wasting so many years and $$ on cardboard, ill fitting shoes, believing the "cheat" myth which is absolutely untrue. I now have a perfect fit, zero pain, zero blisters, rarely have to replace shoes and no break-in process or dying. The bonus is way better performance and no more worries about shoes!!

GREAT SHOE - EASY PURCHASE
So - I am a dance mom, not a dancer - I've never worn pointe shoes.
But I do know it's a very personal thing so reviewing them is kind of pointe-less (LOL) since your dancer will have to find their own perfect shoe. But these Grishkos really hold up for my kid and they have become her favorite for the past year at least. They are very consistent from shoe-to-shoe. Ordering from Discount Dance was perfect - because we were able to get them in time for a show when all of the stores were sold out. THE ONLY DRAWBACK is Discount Dance does not send them with Elastics - which if you get them in the store comes with the shoes. So you have to go beg for some from your local dance store anyway. Discount Dance only sells the elastics in big rolls.

VERY COMFORTABLE, BUT DON'T LAST LONG
When I got my first pair of my Grishko 2007's I absolutely loved them! They are almost perfectly fit for my very narrow, small, highly arched feet, and I love the line they create with my feet. My first pair of these lasted 1 month, but I guess my feet have gotten stronger. I just started wearing another pair of these (size 4 xx hard shank) 4 days ago, and by my second day of wearing them the shank had already softened considerably, enough to where I had some trouble not falling over my box. I had to not point my feet to their full potential in order to stay on my box! This is very annoying considering I had only danced in these shoes for about 6 hours before they started going dead. I do love how comfortable these shoes are though, and I will try to shellac/use Jet Glue on them to lengthen the life of them!

MEH.JUST MEH
I had these shoes for an intensive,1 1/2 hours of pointe each day. 1st 2 days, hard as rock, even in SS shank, squeezed really bad. Last 8 days, they twisted and widened( I had a 7 XXX, SS shank). I sunk really bad. The drawstring IS A JOKE. After 2 classes, it was useless and my shoes flapped around. They felt really heavy and WERE unnaturallly loud. I like a little thump, not a CLUMP. The Grishko 2007, I dragged the shoe with me. I have had much more success with Russian Pointe.

DREAM POINTES!
Of all the pointes that I tried, this one is one, if not the best for my foot type (second toe larger than big toe). This was the first pair where the tip of my big toe did not hurt at all, thus allowing to go through pointe class smoothly.
Highly recommended!
Of course, always get professionally fitted first.

I FEEL SECURE WHEN I GO ON POINTE
I went to a dance wear shop recently to get fitted for a new pair of pointe shoes. I wanted to try something else besides Capezio. At first I thought I was interested on Bloch's Sonata based on its description online, and this store I went has that and Grishko '07. When I realized that the Sonata isn't the most comfortable shoes on my feet, I then tried this on and boy it felt way different! It was hugging my feet perfectly and when I go on pointe I felt secure. So I went ahead and purchased it. Now, I've been using it for quite some time already and it still feels great on my feet. It's the shoes that do not make my feet feel and look swollen after I take them off. I do love these shoes and I'm glad fate has brought me to find them!

LOVE THESE!
These are great shoes for narrow, somewhat tapered feet (I'm an odd cross between Roman and Egyptian-style toes - my second and third toes are almost as long as my big toe). My US street shoe size is a 9.5 and the 2007's 7XX shoe fits perfectly. They're pretty tight at the metatarsal area when I first put them on, but once they're broken in, they're very supportive. I've tried several different models and brands and I keep coming back to Grishko because they seem to fit my feet and support my metatarsals the best. I also love their Vaganova, which is not offered on this site, unfortunately.

TOO LOUD
Usually when I get new shoes I don't really have to break them in but when I got these grishkos I couldn't dance on them because they were so hard. It took me a whole 3 hour class to even start to break them in and after that they were still way too loud. Overall I would just say that these shoes are just horrible because they are too hard and loud. I would never recommend these if they were the last shoes on earth.

AMAZING SHOE
This is my second pair of this shoe and I love them!!!! I have very flexible feet and tend to go over my box but this shoe has kept me right on my box. They are very durable and it will be at least 8-12 months or the next time you have a growth spirt until you need a new pair. My teacher loves them on me and I bet yours will too. They are true to size and true to color. I can bet you won't regret buying this shoe

LOVE!
Love these pointe shoes! I'm on my second pair of Grishko 2007's, however I'm trying a softer shank with my second pair. I've been through Russian Pointe and Suffolk, and now Grishko. These shoes have a decent platform size, although it's definitely not huge. I really like the 3/4 shank, but if you have next to no arches like me I'd definitely recommend a soft shank. I originally had a medium shank, but after a semester of working in them about three hours a week they were getting close to dead but still didn't look pretty on my arches. I got a super soft shank when getting 2007's again, and they already look way better on pointe than my medium shanked ones ever did. They don't pinch anywhere at all, but they blister me super easily if I don't tape my toes. Great shoe, and with a few modifications here and there I think it might be "the shoe"! :)

BEAUTIFUL SHOES!
These shoes are absolutely beautiful! I have had to order them three times to get the right size, so I would definitely recommend getting them properly fitted before purchasing online. I normally wear a size 7 street shoe with no problems with width. First I purchased these shoes in a size 5.5x...eventually, I ended up with a size 6xxx. They are the most comfortable shoes I've worn right out of the package. Would definitely purchase them again :)

WONDERFUL SHOES.
I have over 5 pairs of Grishko 2007's and I just love them. They show your arch off beautifully, and are extremely comfortable. I have only gotten one single blister from these, and that is because of a toe pad slip. They are rather durable, I get a medium shank and can last me a month, maybe two if I am lucky. I dance en pointe about 4 to 5 hours a week, without rehearsals. All of my friends from ballet also use Grishko 2007's they are a good universal shoe, I have rather high arches so they look beautiful, but they also work with more flat footed people. I also have wide feet, but their five x fits perfectly. They support me and I just love them. I would most definitely reccomend them. I hope this helped.

This was my first pair of pointes, over two years ago (they lasted ten months :0), and they didn't accentuate my feet back then (which were horrible!), but now that they're better and I want something stronger than my current pointes, I'm thinking of trying them again ;)

COMFORTABLE AND GREAT POINTE SHOE
My daughter wears this shoe in the size 6.0 XXX with Med. Shank. She has been dancing on pointe for 2 years and wears it approx. 4-5 days per week, about 3-4 hours total. Her normal shoe size is 7.5-8 and she has a low arch with tapered toes (Egyptian type). She has regular width of feet, not too wide or narrow. She loves this shoe for comfort and wore it for about 5 months, which included a recent performance. Very durable. We did cut the inside part of the shank to make it easier to bend. Another shoe she loves is the Russian Dolce. The Russian Grande pointe was too wide and did not work. Don't forget to order ribbons/elastic separately.

PERFECT POINTE SHOES
These are my go to shoes. They fit perfectly each time. They do tend to wear a little more quickly, but having said that, I can break in a pair in so quickly that they mold to my foot and I can perform in them immediately. The consistency of product is why I come back to them time and time again. With the lightening fast service, turn around time from ordering to receiving them is between 1-2 days with standard shipping. Now THAT is service! I LOVE my Grishkos.

I'M IN LOVE.
After trying so many different pointe shoes, these are by far my favorite. The satin is very pretty and it is an overall appealing shoe. I like the genuine feel off these and I always feel stable and supported. The one thing that I'm not sure of is that the heel seems very tall. This isn't always a bad thing, though, because the heel never slips off while in Demi pointe. All in all I love these shoes!

GREAT POINTE SHOES
Overall, it's a great pointe shoe. It's really supportive and with toe pads it hardly feels like you're on pointe. However, they take a bit longer to break in than other pointe shoes, and really be careful about the shank you're choosing. I chose a medium shank because I didn't think it would make a difference, but the harder shank is making me work much harder to get over my boxes. :) But first make sure the shoes are right for you:p hope this helped!!!

PERFECT SHOE FOR HARD-TO-FIT FOOT
I have wide metatarsals (due to bunions), a narrow heel and decent arches. with tapered toes and Morton's toe. I have gone through so many shoes, my last pair being a Mirella Academie. I am so thrilled that I have found "THE SHOE" for my feet and would recommend this shoe to anyone who have tapered toes, bunions and a narrow heel. I don't even have to wear padding in this shoe, my foot is so well supported and I feel no areas of excess pressure.
I am a women's street size 6 and a 4 XX in Bloch European Balance. I ordered a 4 XXX with a SS shank in these and they fit perfectly, and the 3/4 cut works very well for my foot. I was extremely nervous to buy only, but so glad that I did. It is a narrow shoe, so I would go up 1 width to what you think you need.
The ribbons I got to go with this shoe are the Prima Soft Extra Support elastic ribbon...wonderful ribbons, look great with the shoe, provide excellent support and does not put pressure on my tendons.
I would say if you have a difficult -to-fit foot, give these a go. The sizing it pretty true to size (I ordered 2 sizes smaller than street shoe). However, this should would NOT work well for someone with square toes!!
And as always, great customer service for DDS. Shoes arrived one day earlier than expected! I can always count on DDS.
Hope this helps anyone looking for a good review!

GREAT SHOES, BUT THE SHANK IS WEAK.
I've gotten these four times, and they've been great! The first couple times I got a medium shank, but the second time it broke after only wearing them once, so I glued them. I recommend getting a stronger shank than you think you need, because I get hards, and my feet aren't archy, and they're not incredibly strong either. They have great support, and are the ONLY shoes I've ever tried on that work well with my feet. I got a 7, my regular street shoes are at least a 9 1/2 or 10. The xxx box, and hard shank work great.

GREAT POINTE SHOE
I really like these pointe shoes. I have been wearing Veronese pointe shoes forever and I wanted to find something that fit in about the same way but, gave me more support. These shoes are exactly that. They fit my feet well and they don't break as fast as the Veronese shoes. I ordered 2 sizes smaller than street shoes and they fit perfectly.

DEAD AFTER TWO HOURS!
For a year these pointe shoes were wonderful. I had just started and they looked and felt nice. I have high and strong arches, perfect as a ballerina. When I came in for my summer intensive after a long break, I had just bought a new pair of these. Excitedly, I wore them for two days which was only two hours of pointe class. These shoes were dead. I had size three xxx and a medium shank. My teacher said not to get these ever again. I just wasted 100 dollars. I do NOT recommend these shoes!

DEAD BEFORE THE SATIN HAD TIME TO RIP
I love these shoes! They make my feet look great, make me actually work to get over the box, and are ridiculously comfortable (in my opinion, anyway) compared to my old blochs and capezios. After coming off a fairly long hiatus from dance, these were a joy to dance in. However, within about a month and a half of dancing (4-5 hours of pointe practise a week) and alternating them with my bloch Amelie back up shoes, these died very quickly and now I'm sidelined with ankle impingement for a couple of weeks because of the heel shape. The funny thing is,usually, the satin is the first thing to go on all of my shoes (except my serenades where the box went first), these shoes still look fresh! Minor cosmetic damage but the shanks are so weak now that my foot kind of looks collapsed but not quite knuckled over. I think this will still probably be my go-to back up style, though.

I purchased these as my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th pair of pointe shoes, trying first soft, then medium, then a hard shank. No matter what, I always broke the shank within 4 or 5 classes. The shoes never once gave me a bruise or caused a blister and are absolutely beautiful! Other than that they died quickly, I loved these shoes!

JUST A GOOD SHOE
These shoes are great, just not for me. I wore these when I was 11 and I loved them. Now if I wore those shoes it would be HORRIBLE!!! The shank is to soft for my feet. These shoes are great for begineers. These are a few other types of pointe shoes that I would recommend for begineers, but if you have not tried on these shoes before you should probably go to a store to try them on.

MY SHOES!
I went to the dance wear supply store and tried on every single shoe in the store. Grishko's were the only ones that worked. They are awesome for people with a bunion on their pinkie :(.

GREAT, BUT NOT ON MY FEET
These shoes are great, just not on my feet. I feel like they just aren't the right shape for my feet. I have a very narrow heel, but very wide toes. If I get a narrow width, it'll be too narrow, but if I get a wide width, it'll be too wide. A lot of dancer have this shoe, and I think it looks wonderful on anyone with the right foot, unlike me. I would recommend this shoe to anyone who is looking for that professional looking shoe, which usually will look great on all foot types.

GREAT!
I have short toes, so while the long vamp is a little strange on my feet everything else is great. It is so easy to get over the box. There is no demipointe though. The shoes are comfortable, shanks soft enough for flatter feet, and give me great balance. I'm a size 6.5 in street shoes, size 5 in blochs, and also a size 5 in these. I really like these and will definitely rebuy. In fact, these fit my feet so well I can go without toe pads--the tapered box really pulls you up.

VERY GOOD SHOES THAT MIGHT BE A GOOD FIRST TIMERS
These shoes are very shoes. I liked them a lot. They didn't last a long time though, which was sad.Because I liked them so much. I think this might be a very good shoe for first timers. Don't get freed, way too hard for first pairs, not russian points, or gaynor mindens. I think any grishkos are good!

AWESOME!
These shoes are fantastic! They were my first pair of Pointe shoes and I've stuck with them ever since. Each time I go to try out a new pair they just never feel as good as these! I have noticed that the Box is pretty squeaky, but I suspect that if you soften them with a hammer or something they will be fine. And the satin coming from the box will tear off pretty quickly, but i just put a layer of jet glue over it and that keeps it secure for a while. There is great support in the shank, they make my feet look beautiful, and they stay broken in, but not completely broken in for a long time. I love these shoes!
Where have these been all my life?! I finally found "The Shoe!"
Buy them! Please! They are so comfortable! Wear them with ouch pouches! Perfect shoes!

A GREAT SHOE WITH A COMFORTABLE FIT
I've been on pointe for 3 years and have tried Blochs, Russian Pointes, Capezios, and Grishkos, but i ALWAYS end up coming back to grishko 2007. I have a very narrow foot with a long big toe, but these support me and they last a long time. I always recommend these when somebody asks me what kind they should try

OKAY SHOES
These shoes are great. I got a medium shank, And its more like a hard. They last a very long time:) I broke the shank in the last pair of shoes I had (bloch Axioms). So I needed a harder shoe. But I can't get all the way over this shoe sometimes:/ I really like the shoe, But I just don't think its for my foot.
Getting a Grishko Maya this time(:

LOVE THESE!!!
For my first several years on pointe I always wore Blochs. I thought that they were great until I ended up getting a pair of Grishko's. They are very comfortable and look great on. They give you a georgous line while still feeling great. I have found that the shoes do not last quite as long as my Blochs use to. I still love these though and could not imagine going back to any other brand.

VERY GOOD SHOES
When I first got these, they were too big, but they still looked and felt great. Then, my foot grew and they were too small, so I got blisters, but after they stretched a bit they feel great!
These look great! I have very flat, weak feet, very narrow foot, and tapered toes. My only complaint is that the box curves sometimes, and it makes me look I'm sickling even when I'm not. But other than that, these give a beautiful line. The platform is small, so if you can't balance on smaller platforms then this might not be the shoe for you.
I bought the Super Soft shank, which was too hard for my flat feet at first, but after the breaking the shank in half, my foot looks a lot better. I love them right now, becuase the shank died but the box is still alive :)
These shoes work on many foot types try them!!

WONDERFUL FIT
My daughter has extremely narrow feet. We started with Bloch which worked for a short time but she ended up with blisters between her toes. We went to Russian pointe in a 1 width but as her feet got longer (41 length) they ended up being too wide--plus they didn't keep them in stock so they had to be sent from Russia. Just by chance we tried Grisko while we were in New York and they fit wonderfully. Her teachers compliment her pointe frequently now, while in other shoes they complained because they couldn't see her pointe because her feet flopped around inside the shoes.

IF I COULD GIVE DURABILITY A 50 OMG
honestly these just DONT DIE. like i want to get a new pair because we all do but i cant until theyre DEAD! like 4 months ive had them and not only are they farrrrr from dead, theyre barely broken at all!! and i dance on pointe 4 times a week! if you want to save money get these for sure they dont die. i dont wear toe pads just tape and they dont hurt at all, and the vamp isnt too deep which is good because my toes are stubs. also i have very wide feet near the toes and narrower at the heel and they fit perfect! great for turning too i got my first double in these :')

RUNS SMALL
I love these shoes. As a dedicated Bloch Sonata wearer, size 4D (12+ years), I decided to try something new. My feet are barely a US 6.5. The first pair I ordered a 4XXX... Almost an INCH too short in length...returned. The next pair was a 4.5XXXX. I might actually order a 5xxxxx next time. That's really off the sizing instructions. I suggest ordering 1/2 size bigger than you thing you need. Hope this helps!

This pointe shoe is my first. I'm fourteen and I just started pointe in mid-June. these shoes make my feet look beautiful and my friends on pointe say they have troubles getting up over the box, but with this shoe I don't seem to have trouble. Love it, love it, love it!

BEST SHOES EVER
I loved these shoes!!!! My last pair were Bloch Jetstreams. These look way better on my feet. I personally have tapered toes, and these shoes are great if you have tapered feet. The shank and box have the perfect hardness and last pretty long. I would suggest getting these!

I'M A GRISHKO GIRL
These were my first pointe shoes, and now, a year and five pairs later, I've gone back to these and will stay with these. I've tried Bloch, Capezio, Sansha, Freed, and Russians, but none lasted very long or provided the comfort and stability of Grishkos. My second toe is longer than my first, so the tapered box is ideal for me. I can feel the floor in a good way, and they make my arch look and feel beautiful. I'm definitely a Grishko girl from now on.

BEST POINTE SHOES
These shoes are so wonderful. They last ages, and I mean AGES, I had them with a medium shank and they lasted a good 7+ months dancing on them 3 hours a week. They are so comfortable and supportive as well. I have big feet (size 10 in street shoes) and my feet are wide at the metatarsals and narrow at the heel. I also have long toes that taper quite a bit, and I have no issues with these, I dont even put in spacers or lambs wool to make up for differences in toe length. These are a million times better than Bloch Aspirations, which gave me horrible blisters and bruises, while these gave me none. Basically, I'll never wear another shoe again.

COMFORTABLE TO DANCE IN
I really enjoy these pointe shoes. It was recommended to me by my ballet teacher and I've never strayed. I really enjoy the feel of them, especially once you get them broken in, in about an hour they are perfect and I feel very confident when I dance in them. I have performed and danced countless times in these shoes and overall they are my favorite by far. I couldn't imagine myself in any other.

GREAT POINTE SHOES
I am a 22 year old, 5'11" ballet dancer and have been on pointe for less than a year. I've struggled to find shoes that will work for me as I have very strong arches and quickly break most shanks. These are the best shoes I've found so far (hard shanks). They fit my feet very well, prevent sinking, and last me through several weeks of dancing. I used these in my most recent recital and I was told by several dancers and my teacher that it looked like I had been on pointe for years. The box is more narrow than the Bloch Signature Rehearsals that I used before, but it didn't take long to get used to them. These shoes make me feel much more confident and secure when I am dancing. Great shoes! :)

LIKE A DREAM
As a 22-year-old beginner, I had relatively strong feet and ankles from running in Vibrams, cheerleading, and pre-pointe exercises - but I was nervous about choosing a Grishko as my first pointe shoe, because I had heard that they had harder shanks than most brands, and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to break them in.
Well, I will say that as my first pair, the box WAS pretty soft by the time the shank was nice and bendy. However, I was still able to roll up through demi-pointe just fine. The shoes are extremely comfortable (I wear only Pro Pads), flattering, and supportive of my barely-Morton-toed feet. The only reason I would stray from the model (aside from sheer curiosity, perhaps) is that the platform is rather narrow, so balancing/turns are a bit more frustrating for the beginner (or just me?) - then again, it sure encourages proper placement! I've already ordered my second pair! Highly recommended.

IT'S A VERY GOOD SHOE
These were my 4th pair of pointe shoe. While I was getting fitted I relized that they didn't have many width choices to choose from. My feet are naturally wide but very compressible so its hard to find shoes that aren't to tight when I'm standing with my pointe shoes on. These shoes make my arches look amazinggg and are very comfortable. I didn't need to break in the shank with my hands but the box was super hard so I couldn't just break them in with my feet alone. The only bad side to this shoe is that it causes the sole of my right foot to fold and crack. I've never experienced this before with any other pointe shoe. But overall this is a very pretty and affordable shoe.

I absolutely love these shoes! I haven't even been en pointe for a year, and I've already been through so many brands, styles, and makes of different pointe shoes. The Grishko 2007's were my first, and they are the only pair I will ever wear from now on! They are very comfortable and break in nicely. My second toe is longer than my first and these really take the pressure off. I don't even have to wear any padding! These truly are my "it" shoe

I just love these shoes and I haven't even danced in them yet. By the looks of them they appear to be a lot better than Bloch or Capezio. I just recently had Bloch serenades and they are so noisy after you wear them for a while because the glue inside them makes them squeak. I have barely sewn them and put them on a couple of times but so far they seem to be great shoes with really good support. I would recommend that if you don't have high arches to get the soft shank. At first I was worried that they would be to soft but they're perfect and really hard but not to bad. I just love this shoe it is a must have.

I have really arched feet and have tried many different kinds of pointe shoes, these were my first pair and since they did not last very long i tried many other kinds, all of which ended up being a horrible fit for me. So eventually i came back to these, and although they only last me around a couple of months (two pointe classes a week) they're worth it because they are the only shoes which fit my feet and are so comfortable.

These are my second pair of pointe shoes! My first pair were the Bloch Serenades, they were extremely horrible. I have high arches and I could barely get over the box. I have one barbie foot (Greek) and one tapered foot. I went to a professional to get fitted for Mirella "Advanced' pointe shoes (MS101A) because my friend recommended them for me, so when I got there they didn't have my size so I tried others. I tried Russian's, a pair of Bloch's, Gaynor Miden, and finally Grishko 2007's. The Russian's looked great on my feet but I felt they had little support (i have weak ankles). I absolutely loved the Grishko's, they looked great, they felt great, and made my arch look amazing! So I bought them. I don't even need any padding or wool with them either! Super comfy and flexible arches! At my fitting I could get past the box! After these pointe shoes die i'm going to try Mirella's and see which ones I like better, the Mirella's I tried on were too small but they felt like the Grishko's! So I would definitely recommend these to anyone with barbie toes and tapered toes! (Greek and Egyptian style) ♥

I've had these shoes for about 2 years and I still love them! They're hard enough so that I don't go through them in a week (I have a pretty good arch...) and soft enough so that my foot still looks good and pointed. Don't get the hard shank on these shoes! Even if you have a good arch, I would get the medium shank. The hard shank breaks in weirdly, and it doesn't let your foot point all the way, even if they're dead.

I have been en Pointe since Feb. 2011. I go through pointe shoes like crazy! I have tried SS those lasted 4-5 days for my feet, :( Then I tried M those lasted a week. I thought getting better but not there yet! I was hesitant to try Hard but so far they have lasted over 1.5 weeks. So, what I have learned is you can only tell what is right and wrong from your own expirence, don't always go with what other people say ecspecially for Pointe shoes.

AWESOME FOR BEGINNERS
I would give these shoes a 4.5 they are beautiful, the arch is super nice, and they are(as point shoes go) very comfortable. The only problems I have had with them is they break kinda fast, and when I jump and land (especially leaps)its really loud. Other than that they are amazing. I have had these for a year and they are amazing. I defiantly recommend these, especially beginners.

THESE SHOES ARE BY FAR MY FAVORITE.
These shoes are by far my favorite. They are supportive, comfortable, and make your feet look beautiful. I've had Gaynors, Chacotts, and Grishko ProFlexes, but the 2007s really let me get up on pointe and break in much quicker than the other shoes I've tried. These were great for me as a beginner so I ordered super soft, and now I order hards... BEST SHOES EVER!!!

GREAT SHOES FOR BEGINNERS.
I love these. I started in the 2007 and I havent been able to find a comparable shoe for my feet. My school starts everyone off in these and most stay in the 2007. I have tried Bloch, Capezio, and Gaynors and none had just the right fit for my feet.

GREAT BUT LOUD
I am a size 6 in regular shoes and I got a 4XXX Hard, it fit perfectly. Although if you use thick gel pads you should get a bigger size. I love the Grishko 2007 because it gives great support and it looks really good on my feet. The only thing I don't like about it, is that they are so noisy.

GREAT!
I have been wearing these shoes for almost two years, and I love them. I have very wide feet, but I find these fit really well. I wear 6.5XXXXX. I wear a 9.5 size street shoe, so I guess the sizing chart doesn't work for me. The only thing I have to complain about is how long they last. I dance on pointe 7-10 hours a week and they only last me 2 or 3 weeks. At summer intensives, it's 1 week or less.

GREAT SO FAR
I got these a couple of weeks ago and I love them they look great and are way more comfortable then my first pair (I had the Bloch Balance European). I have really weird shaped feet that are really wide in place and really narrow in places I am usually a 7 or an 8 in street shoes I got the 5 X5 and it fits really great. The only thing is I got them two weeks ago and their completely broken in so I am thinking they might not last a long time next time I think I will get the hard shank instead of the medium.

NO HARD SHANK!
I really do not recommend the hard shank, the shank lasts longer, but instead of the shanks dying, the box gets extremely soft very fast and you cant really feel the floor. The medium shanks are awesome, but the shanks usually break really quickly if you dance 6 days a week for two hours like I do. But overall I love these shoes, the hard shanks just break in really weird

AMAZING SHOES, BUT...
I love these shoes, I have been en pointe for 4yrs. I have fairly high arches and I get size 5XX medium shank. I did not think I have strong feet but go through a pair in a month. I like the shoe a lot but the shank doesn't hug my foot as nicely and goes kinda to the side sometimes. I don't know if it's because it's just my foot or if they are not the right shoe for my foot. I really like the shoes other than that, though

GOOD SHOES!
I have been dancing en pointe for 3 1/2 years now, and I have danced in Grishko Elites, Grishko 2007s, and Freed Studio IIs. Out of those, Grishko 2007s are by far the best. They feel really good at first. I have really high arches, and they support them very well. I get over in them too, which makes my feet look really pretty. I own them right now, and right after my first pointe class with them, the satin broke at the end. After two weeks or so, the satin was completely gone at the tip. Also, it seems like the heel never stays on very well, so I have to always wear a pad on my heel. This gets really annoying after a while. And even after about a month, they start wearing down-not dead-but wearing down. The box becomes REALLY squishy, and this makes it really hard to do one-foot balances. At this point, I have to get the same kind of shoe again. So yeah, they die quickly.I especially hate how I can feel the floor way too much. But, it is a really good shoe when you first get them. For about a month, they're great...but not much after that:( I don't know if it is just the Super Soft Shank that I have that makes them wear down so quickly, or not. An upside to these shoes is how well I can so piourettes in them-I once did four-and I have only been on pointe for 3 1/2 years. So, its really easy to move around in these. I think overall, these shoes are really nice until about a month after you get them. The money really adds up after a while, which doesn't make my rents so happy...haha. But it is a good shoe, and I especially recommend them for a first shoe. I am not going to wear them for my next pair. I'm going to try either the Grishko Mayas or the Grishko Fouettes! I hope this helped.

BEAUTIFUL SHOE
I've tried many pointe shoes. These always seem to be the preferred choice of shoe.
They are great in price, lightweight, quiet, easy to roll through demi, and makes gorgeous lines. I do recommend getting hard shanks for full time students, and performances.

WONDERFUL!
I am using my second pair of these and they are amazing! I have a very high arch so mine are a medium shank which is harder to break in than a soft. My soft ones took about 2 weeks to break in and lasted several months, but my mediums took about 2 months to completely break in equal to the soft ones. It is a great shoe and I highly recommend it!

EVERYONE LOVES THEM FOR A REASON
My first pointe shoes, and they are on my permanent list. I would buy these again in a heartbeat. They fit my feet perfectly, and are just wonderful now that they are broken in. I would just buy them in a softer shank. I was sold the hard shank, and it's so hard you could probably kill someone with it. It was tough to break in. But now I'm loving it! Grishko 2007s all the way!

I have worn 2007's ever since I discovered them in college, and as a teacher I've discovered they work well on a variety of feet, especially those with a slightly narrower heel than metatarsal area.

I love this shoe. I am a beginner pointe dancer. I got these shoes with a medium shank and I loved how easily and fast I could break them in. They are ridiculously comfortable and durable, I have had these shoes since June and wear them 4 hours a day. They just got a hole in the box. I am really excited to order my next pair. These are by far my favorite shoe. :D

AMAZING!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this shoe! It is so comfortable but it still makes my foot work which is a good thing. It makes my arches look a lot higher than they actually are. I have narrow feet and these are great for me! They took about 1 class to break in, it was GREAT! The only drawback is that the first class, as with all shoes, is really bad. But after that, it's wonderful! The shank is hard but not too hard so it lasts fairly long.

These shoes are amazing...I tried them on at my last fitting and my feet looked like they had banana arches which they definitely don't and they were super comfortable. I would've bought them if the store had them in stock in a harder shank, but I will definitely be getting some in the future. :)

AMAZING.
My feet are flexible, have a high instep and arch, and long flexible toes and these shoes are a miracle. They are tapered just right for my toes and the 3/4 shank hits my arch at just the right spot and they don't even take very long to break in. The hard shank has even lasted me a month, while Bloch's hard shank lasted me 2 weeks and Russian pointe's MLF shank lasted me 3. These shoes are a miracle for my feet. I highly recommend them.

GREAT BUT DELICATE
I love these shoes when they are new and when they are perfectly broken in. But I have very high arches and they break in faster than every other shoe I've had! But, they fit good for the most part, except I've noticed that the width is ever so slightly different with each pair. Big enough difference so I can notice, but slight enough where I can still dance comfortably, and get used to it. I just wish DiscountDance carried shoes in the XXXXX width....

HORRIBLE!
I HATED these pointe shoes. They really hurt my big toe, and broke in really easily. I had to wear a lot of extra padding in order to lessen the pain, which was really uncomfortable. I would NOT recommend these shoes.

FANTASTIC, BUT TAKE GETTING USED TO
I'd had only Capezio and Bloch pointe shoes before I got these, and I regret not trying Grishko earlier. Everyone says I'm crazy to wear the "super-intense Russian shoes" but they actually broke in very nicely and make my feet look gorgeous. Springing to pointe is a bit hard, but I'm sure it'll get better as I work on it. Also, the sizing shown here is perfect. I love these shoes!

GREAT!
I love these pointe shoes! This Grishko shoe works well with feet in need of a narrow shoe plus a long vamp. It has a high demi pointe and easily rolls up and down from full pointe.
But they are very loud on the floor. The satin also comes off the box very quickly (within a few months of moderate dancing).
I have a 8 1/2 street shoe size and I bought the 6 1/2 pointe shoe. BEWARE: upon first try the shoe looks too big but as soon as the elastic is on it fits great!

I'd only had Capezio and Bloch pointe shoes before these. In fact, I was about to buy a new pair of Blochs when I asked out of curiosity if i could try Grishko. I'm so glad i did! I have small, tapered feet, and these fit perfectly. However, I broke these in pretty fast (with my feet, not my hands) and I can roll through them well. Overall, I love these shoes and recommend them to anyone with strong feet!

LOVE THEM!
I just got these shoes at the end of the summer and they are working really well. They are tapered just enough so they give a nice line and they form to my arch really well. But I really disagree about the "really quiet" part because they are actually really loud no matter how much I roll through my point! Which can get really embarrassing when coming down from a jump because the teachers just think that you aren't pointing your feet! But anyways they are great shoes and I would recommend trying them, but I would try a harder shank than you normally get because they break really fast.

LUV DA SHOES!!!
These shoes are unbelievably awesome. They are very comfortable (well at least for my feet). I would suggest getting a medium shank at the least if you have a fair good arch like I do (I wear a hard shank). Right now I'm starting Russian pointes but I'm going to go back to Grishkos when I'm done because I went to my local dance store, and they were out of the 2007s so I got the Russians and they fit my feet well.
Overall, this is the best pointe shoe i have EVER had!!!

IF YOU HAVE STRONG FEET AND/OR ARCHES...
Get at least a Medium shank. I've had my Grishkos for a couple of months now - I dance in them for about an hour and a half each week - and the shank on my right shoe is about to snap because I have high arches and strong feet. Other than that, I LOVE this shoe!

ALMOST PERFECT
I've tried SO many types of pointe shoes looking for the right kind for me. I have short toes, a high arch, but no ankle flexibility, so I can't get over the boxes of most shoes. Finally, I found these Grishkos and they fit almost perfect-I can get over them well, they last a long time, they are tapered enough, and they are very comfortable. The only problem I have with these is that after a while they get a "knuckled" look to them; the harder shanks can prevent this. I have horrible feet and I use a hard shank. These are the first shoes that actually look good on me! Yay!

WONDERFUL GRISHKOS
These Grishkos are amazing!!! They're my first pair of pointe shoes and I am so glad I chose them. They were fairly easy to break-in and I feel like they give me maximum support when I'm up on full toe. These shoes are a lot more comfortable than many of the other shoes I tried on and make me feel very confident when I'm up on pointe. I am very grateful that I chose these Grishkos and would recommend them to anybody who wants a pleasant pointe experience!!!

THIS IS A GREAT SHOE
I really like these shoes. They are very pretty and look really good on the shape of foot I have. My old pointe shoes were the same kind and they lasted me a very long time. My old pair were medium shanks and they were always comfortable and never gave me blisters. The new ones are hard shanks and they made my toes bleed the first time I wore them, so I would recommend the meduim shanks over the hard shanks.

GREAT FOR BEGINNERS! LAST A LONG TIME!
I went through the shoe in about a few weeks, but they stayed firm enough to dance in them for a lot longer than that! They were very comfortable and I had no problems with them. But I accidentally broke them in the wrong way...but I would highly recommend them to anyone first starting out and wants something that would last a long time and would like something comfortable. My feet never hurt in them!

LOVE THEM TO DEATH!!!
I would give them more if I could!!! I couldn't wear these for a while, because my foot was WAY too narrow, but my foot has grown, and fattened (Just a little bit) to where I don't have to drive to Pensacola 2 HOURS AWAY from where I live, to get pointe shoes that I don't like!!! I used to use Suffolk Solos, and please Discount Dance, start stocking those for my BFF Carley's sake! They look good on her, and she has to drive to Pensacola too, and it would be great for her if you started carrying them. Just a request! But,these pointe shoes are great, and unless my feet fatten up some more,so I can try a different kind, I'm fine with sticking with these. Please try them. You won't regret it!

THESE ARE AWESOME!!!
OMG! I am a beginner when it comes to pointe, and my arch is strong, but not my ankles. When I got these shoes I loved them. My feet look beautiful in them, and they are comfortable. Since I've had these shoes, I haven't got anything worse than a blister(which are usually very tiny). If you are looking for a pointe shoe as a beginner, these are perfect! They aren't too hard to break in, but they're not super easy either. I am going to buy another one of these because mine are broken in(after a year) Plus, my feet have grown. Take my advice and try these.

YUMMY SHOES!!!
I really-really love these shoes! I tried them after my Chacott-Coppelia II shoes busted out. I was recommended Grishko, and I will never look back! I have low arches and strong ankles so these shoes really flatter my feet. Plus I only got one small blister the first day I wore them. They break-in fast and almost keep up with my wear and tear. I will have to buy a lot more of these!!!

This was the first shoe I tried on and I still wear it! When it was time to get new ones, I wanted to see if any other shoe fit, but I ended up with these again. I recommend to get the med. or hard shanks--easier to break- in and has a good arch!!!

These shoes are very nice. They are so comfortable that they feel like slippers. However, I have very high arches and so the whole 3/4 shank thing didn't work so well...it broke in a lot and then gave no support. I tried the hard shank and it was so hard that I had to spray it with water and bend it for an hour or more before it even looked like I had an arch. But that is just because I have really high arches.

DEAD!
I've worn these shoes, like, twice and already they feel like they are close to being dead! I had some Grishkos before and I broke them fast and they were medium shank, so I got hard shank to prevent them breaking easily, but that didn't work that well. All I'm saying is if you break shoes in really easy or have a really strong arch, these might not be the best for you.

THEY ARE OK, BUT NOT GREAT
Since the Grishko 2007 has a 3/4 shank, it tends to break quickly, since your arch is right on the end of the shank. They are great shoes but can break easily. (Great for the beginner!)

GOOD QUALITY
I found these shoes fine. They were of a nice, high quality and were worth the 50 bucks. And just a suggestion: people should not try to buy pointe shoes online without knowing they fit. Also, because dancers have very different feet and different needs, so any things like 'the box is too hard' or 'the shank died too fast' does not necessarily apply to everyone. Reviews should review the manufacturing quality and any details not covered in the description.

I love these shoes. They were the first kind I had, then I went back to them again. There was one big problem. I have bunions and the 5X (the widest pair) cut off my circulation because I have to wear toe spacers. I would highly recommend these shoes for being comfortable and nice, but if you have bunions and wide feet, this may not be the shoe for you!

SPECTACULAR
These pointe shoes are great. The only problem that I had with them is the right shoe was a tiny bit crooked, so I had to buy extra elastics, and sew them on in a criss-crossed style. This helped very much. I would definitely recommend these shoes, but get them fitted. If they work for you and you want to get another pair, get the same size you have and order it on here.

I just got another pair of these for an audition, and they were great! I took only two ballet classes in them and they broke in! By the way, the ballet classes were in total 2 hours and 45 minutes. They feel great, and provide just enough support. The box is not too "boxy" and it is just wide enough for me to balance without any trouble. They are easy to roll through pointe, and they were easy to do pirouettes (my first ones on pointe!) with. A great shoe! At the audition, they worked great, no problems whatsoever. This is the only shoe I've ever used. Grishko is the best!!! They form to your feet really quick and the box doesn't get "mushy" fast. A great shoe! Buy these!

This is my shoe! (LOL) I was fortunate enough to find a perfect pointe shoe so young. However, I have very strong feet and have to buy hard shanks or else I'm buying new shoes every other week. These really are a performance shoe and not a class shoes though. They are made to break down fast which can, as we all know, help in a class though. All in all a good shoe, it just depends on your foot.

When I first got this shoe, it took me a while to get used to it because it hurt my toes so badly. But after two days, my feet adapted to them. I really like the Grishko "2007" shoe (now that it is broken in). I have good arches, but this shoe REALLY flatters my foot. And it is supportive. I suggest this shoe if you want your feet to look beautiful.

These shoes are perfect for recital time or ballet concert time, because they last SO long. I have really, really strong feet and break through most shoes very easily. But these last at least a few months for me and they take just long enough to break-in. And to me, they are actually pretty comfortable (as comfortable as pointe shoes can be). But I have used the Ulanovas and Blochs before and have never liked them as much as these. I have probably used at least 15 pair.

I LOVE THESE SHOES!!!
I've tried different shoes, but Grishkos were the best.
Here are a few tips that REALLY helped me: 1) Break them (but not too much). Just enough to roll through your arches. 2) Then flatten the box. I put mole skin on the top of the box (you don't have to). The satin is kind of slippery.

GREAT SHOES!
Grishkos are my most recent pairs of pointe shoes, and by far my favorite yet. I have an ingrown toenail, and with wider boxes, my toes hurt REALLY bad. But Grishkos help me lift out of my shoe, and has helped me with pirouettes. I did a lot of sewing to make my arch look nicer, so now they look very flattering on my feet. They break in easily, but are very comfortable. Great for professional dancers, not really for beginners, since the box is smaller and it is harder to balance!

I have been on pointe for about 3 years now and I love these shoes! They are great because I have really narrow feet and when I wear other shoes such as Bloch, I feel like I am wearing blocks. These shoes are great because they really hug your feet so you don't feel like you have any extra weight when you're dancing and they are easy to maneuver. The only problem is that they wear out easily, but all pointe shoes do, so no worries.

I've had these for about a year now and I have 2 say, I love them. They flatter my arch very well and made pointe easier. I did notice that they broke in very easily and after a while, they began to squeak when I went on demi pointe. I love these shoes, but would like if the shank and box didn't wear out fast. I'm thinking about ordering a hard shank (I had a med. before) would they last longer w/ a harder shank? Any suggestions?

OKAY
These shoes look very nice, but they are too loud. If you want this shoe maybe you should consider getting the Pro Quiet. Plus, I got the soft shank and they broke like almost after a week, but I have still been wearing them since August. The other bad thing is that the material on the platform gets really messed up too fast, it hasn't been even a half a year yet. This was my second pair, and my first pair was a Capezio Glisse. I loved this shoe because it lasted me one year, but this shoe is only about 4 1/2 months old and I already have new shoes to wear for next year. I recommend that you not get the soft shank. But, the shoe makes your feet look pretty nice.

THE BEST!
I have a wide forefoot with narrow, tapered toes with the 2nd toe being the tiniest bit longer than my big toe. Plus I have very flat arches. These shoes make pointe effortless and painless. I blister a tiny bit during the break-in period but once they mold a bit, I don't even need any padding or tape. I feel no pressure on my second toe as if my toes are floating without losing the feel of the ground. These shoes are amazing.

LOVE EM!
I originally only bought them when my Russian Pointe orders didn't come through on time, but now I always buy these and just alternate with my RPs. They really do mold to many different foot shapes (mine are tapered Egyptian banana feet with bunions). The SS shank is great for strong dancers dealing with long rehearsal days; my feet don't look or feel butchered, even after 12 hour days. And they hold up to Jet Glue well - I can Jet Glue the shanks many, many more times than most brands before the shank becomes too brittle and snaps. Only downside is that the boxes do become very thin and hollow sounding quite quickly, making them even louder than other Grishkos (if you can imagine), and yes, they do squeak when the demi-pointe area is wearing down. But personally, I concentrate on the dancing not the sound of my shoes. Very flattering and comfortable, and the H shank is great for fouettes.

FINALLY
After trying Freed's Studio and Wingblocks, Sonatas, Alphas and one other Bloch, I tried these on with advice from my teacher. They feel great and make my so-so arch look a bit better. But mostly they're comfortable for my ducklike feet. Break-in is minimal (I use medium shank) and I like the shape it gives to my foot, less ducky, more tapered and all without any pesky blisters. These are keepers!

Grishkos are the best. I've owned 2 pairs of Grishkos and one of Bloch. I definitley prefer the Grishkos, especially these. They look great, and they are great for performances.

NOT THE SHOE FOR ME
When I first got fitted in these, they were PERFECT. And I mean it. They fit absolutely perfectly, I loved them, life was grand. But every shoe in every style after that was wrong, though maybe I shouldn't blame it on these. ;) They're quieter than the Pros. But I have long toes and strong, flexible feet, so my metatarsals were bending (which my teacher told me could break my foot) and I broke shanks.

MY FAVORITE!
I started pointe with Grishko 2007s and loved them! Some people say they're best for strong feet but that's not true. I have flat and weak feet and these shoes are so supportive and make my feet look good. I have tried anout 15 different pointe shoes in the three years since I got the first, and have never found anything better or more comfortable! Thanks Grishko!

I LOVE THEM!
This is the first pointe shoe I ever tried on and after that, no other shoes felt quite as good. Once you try them on, all others feel inferior. I have a very high arch and found these have excellent support without making you go over your box too much. Other dancers I have talked to say they last much longer than other shoes, as long as you get a good shank hardness for your feet. I got a hard shank and my last pair lasted over a year and were used frequently. And they fit great - I've danced on them without any pads, and I've never gotten a blister!!

I have been wearing Grishko 2007s for a year now. I like the way they fit after I fiddle with them a bit. They always seem to break in at the 3/4 point of the shank, which isn't where my arch is, so I usually have to manipulate them a bit. My only complaint is that lately, the box of the shoes have been getting squishy on the outside part of the shoe. I have found that applying shellack to the entire box of the shoe solves this problem. Even so, I would recommend buying three or four pairs of this shoe at a time, because they die very quickly(three days for me). They last much longer if you alternate.

I really like these shoes. They don't have a very wide box, so balancing isn't wonderful, but they are easy and comfortable.

EXCELLENT
I love these shoes. I haven't worn them ever since September 2005. But these shoes break in easy and last for a good time. If you have strong feet, you can really go over them (like me). I recommend these shoes for advanced and average (not really beginners) dancers.

This shoe is by far the best pointe shoe I've used in years of pointe work. I usually go through shoes quickly, a pair every two weeks and a pair every two performances, but these held up much better. I didn't need to break them in at all and they have wonderful support for my hyper-extended arches. I also liked the high vamp that gave enough support for the front of the foot.

I used to have these pointe shoes for about 3 years and were fantastic while they lasted. I had to get a new pair every 3 weeks or so, which I didn't like, so I decided to switch to Gaynor Minden and like them much better :)

I like these shoes okay. They look very nice on my feet once they are broken in. But they wear out very quickly. My last pair only lasted three weeks.

These shoes don't make my feet look sickled like Gaynor Minden and Freeds do. I also feel more on center with these shoes too. They take some time getting use to, but they're worth it. Also, I suggest ordering a couple pairs at a time because they die fairly quickly.

NICE SHOES
I have tried several styles in both Bloch and Grishko brands, so far these are my favorite. They follow and support your entire arch. They are easy to roll through and can be broken-in easily when in a rush. I wear them for over 2hrs. at a time while teaching and find them very comfortable.

HEAVENLY SHOES...
I love these shoes, they are amazing! The only flaw is that the box breaks fast on me, and I gotta get new pairs often. Other than that they are amazing!

GREAT FOR STRONG ARCHES
I own this pointe shoe and I personally think it's great.... but not every pointe shoe is right for everyone! This pointe shoe is for strong arches and willing feet, so be sure it's right for your level of dance before buying it.

Hannah 09/30/2018 Liberty-pa Age: 15 to 18 Is X5 the same as XXXXX for width?
Yes, the X5 is the same as XXXXX. - DDS Customer Service (10/18/2018)
I already own a pair of "2007" Ballet Pointe Shoe, and the size on the bottom of the shoe is: 6 X SS. There are no options for SS, and I was wondering what "X" means.
The SS is for the super soft shank, the X indicates the width of the shoe. - DDS Customer Service (04/04/2014)
Hello, SS just means the hardness of your shank. They come in Super Soft, (hense SS), medium(M) and hard (H). And then the "X" means how wide the box is. One "X" is the narrowest box and 5 "X" being the widest box. I hope that helped! - Kiahjane (05/02/2014)
The x is the width. The SS stands for super soft and it is the shank strength. - Balletgirly (03/15/2016)
Bennie 01/23/2014 Age: 17 or under Is fitting similar to the Grishko Nova's?
I'm currently wearing Nova's but would like to try the 2007's they are said to be very similar, if I am a size 5 1/2 XXXX Medium shank in my Nova's will the same size in 2007's work?
The sizing on the 2007 pointe shoe is a bit different. With the Nova, you order 2.5 to 3.0 sizes smaller than your street shoe, whereas with the 2007, it is suggested that you order 2.0 to 2.5 sizes smaller. - DDS Customer Service (01/24/2014)
Yes I believe so. Grishko's sizing is across the board. My friend used to wear Grishko Nova's, but much prefers their 2007's. I would definitely try them out! - Littleballetdancer (10/22/2015)
em 07/28/2013 Nc Age: 17 or under How does this shoe compare to the Capezio Tiffany?
My previous pair of shoes were Capezio Tiffanys, but they didn't work out for me. Is this shoe similar to them, and how is it different?
The Tiffany has a wide box, whereas the 2007 is tapered. Their vamp lengths are both short/average. The 2007 has a lower crown than the medium crown on the Tiffany. The 2007 has a 3/4 shank that allows an easier roll through and the box molds easier to the foot, unlike the moderate strength Tiffany. - DDS Customer Service (08/05/2013)
Hello, :) My previous pair were also Capezio Tiffanys, but I needed to find a different shoe because it wasn't tapered enough for me, and the narrowest size was still too wide. I have wore them several times now and I LOVE them. The platform may take some time to get used to, but they roll through very nicely and hold me up well. I am really loving it, and I strongly recommend that if you have problems with the Tiffany, that you try the 2007's. I hope this helps :) - Dancer421198 (12/14/2013)
NOBODY 05/17/2013 Ca Age: 17 or under If my feet is street size 6, what size should i buy for these shoes?
The manufacturer recommends sizing down 2 to 2.5 sizes from street shoe. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee sizing and ultimately recommend being fitted (in a store) for any pointe shoes you are considering purchasing. Without a professional fit you run the risk of buying a shoe that is not appropriate for your specific foot and risking injury. - DDS Customer Service (05/17/2013)
Probably a 3, 3 1/2, or 4. You probably want to go get a fitting to make sure though. - Angelinaballerinaofbham (08/28/2013)
I am a true size 6 street shoe in women's and I ordered a size 4. Fits perfectly! - Pnwicedancer (10/18/2013)
I got a 4 because street size I'm a 6 1/2. Maybe a 4 or 3 1/2? - Dancerballetlovehi (12/31/2013)
You would most likely be a 3 1/2 or 4. hope this helped :p - Dancerballetlovehi (12/31/2013)
does anyone know what is the shank??? and are they come with the strap on the leg?
The ribbons and elastic are both sold separately from the shoes. The shank refers to the strength of the insert that runs along the inside, bottom of the shoe. The strength of the shank determines the ease in which the shoe is able to be broken in. - DDS Customer Service (04/25/2013)
You can choose between super soft, medium, or hard shanks. My daughter breadks in shoes fast so she uses hard shanks for classes and rehearsals and medium shanks for performances. You need to sew elastic and ribbons on yourself and purchase them separately, but it doesn't cost that much extra. - 28green (10/13/2013)
The shank is the part of the shoe that supports your arch, it is reinforced with cardboard, leather, and other materials, and will break down eventually. If by "strap on the leg" you mean ribbons or elastics, then no. they do not come with them. You must buy those on your own, and sew them on on your own (as with any other pointe shoe). - Dancer421198 (12/14/2013)
X5 means XXXXX for the width - DDS Customer Service (12/04/2012)
first of all Mia this shoe is great! if you don't already have it I think you should buy it!!I!! and the X5 means X.5 hope this helps. And buy the way I am a XX and have a narrow foot. - Dance4jesus (12/19/2012)
XXXXX is how Grishko measures their width. The more Xs, the wider the width. If you have a XXXXX width, tat means your feet would be very wide. - Nycballerina (12/26/2012)
Ya I noticed the x5 too! It comes after X and it comes before XX. I think that DDS made a mistake by putting x5 there. XXXXX can't be a width. Thats way too wide!lol widths only go up to XXXX. - Kittycat (02/05/2013)
The X in the sizing has to do with the width of the shoe/box
X -narrow, XX- Narrow Medium, XXX- Medium, XXXX- Wide, XXXXX- Extra Wide. - DDS Customer Service (10/22/2012)
It means the width. X is the most narrow one they have. - Sdabballerina (11/23/2012)
size x is for narrow feet. - Mushruuum (12/05/2012)
The X is how wide or narrow the width is. If you have a size X, you have a narrow width. If you have multiple Xs, you have a wide width. - Nycballerina (12/26/2012)
