These are my go-to tights. They provide good coverage (not completely see through) which is important to me as an adult dancer. The knit waistband is a great as it does not dig in but still stays in place (I have never had an issue with them falling down). The color does fade to a grayish tinted pink especially if you wash them with anything else. I found that washing them alone really improves the longevity of color. They don't tend to rip or tear excessively and hold up to sweating and a lot of wear. Move well and do not constrict.

I absolutely love these tights. I've been wearing them for 3 or 4 years now. I have tried other tights, and they have been ok, but these are superior, with so many color options.
My ballet studio does skin tone tights and capezio's color options have helped me find the exact right color for my skin.

I wouldn’t normally say this for tights, but these are SO COMFY! I wouldn’t say I have the average ballet shape, with a wider waist and smaller hips. But these are great! Stay up but aren’t too tight I’m the waist but not too big in the leg. The only thing is that the thigh and crotch wears out pretty quickly compared to canvas tights since they are the plain mesh material, but the price is definitely worth it!

The leg part is totally fine, fits like normal tights. The waistband kind of squeezes me around my high waist uncomfortably. Now, I don't have the flattest stomach or anything and I definitely have gained some wait over the last several months but it was still uncomfortable as I bent and moved around. They're fine though for just practice!

Great quality - these last a long time, they are nice and opaque and supportive, and the waistband is very comofortable and flattering. The Ballet Pink color looks quite bright when you first purchase the tights, but after just a couple of washes it fades to a nice pale pink (more of a true ballet pink).

The self-kit waistband doesn't cut into my stomach and waist the way the traditional elastic waist tights do. I've had a pair of these tights for a couple of years now, and they're still in great shape after all this time. They're the lighter shade of pink that doesn't seem to be available in this style online. I wish they carried these tights in light pink like they do the regular transition tights. The ballet pink color is more of a bright pink, but the light pink actually matches my shoes to create a nice line. I guess I'll be sticking with the elastic waist until they start carrying these in light pink online!

A Win For Diverse Groups

I purchased these for our high school color guard. In past years they had used their own nylons and there were always issues. We have a highly ethnically diverse school and there was a color for every girl. They were so pleased and grateful. These tights have held up beautifully through four band reviews so far this season with only one small hole and one run on a girl who wasn't quite realistic regarding her weight. The girls were most surprised and pleased with the convertibility feature. They could run around comfortably in their flip flops after parade competition without having to completely change out. We will definitely we ordering these again for future seasons!

I have been in love with these tights for years, and could only find them at a local dance store for a long time and was thrilled when they were brought on here! The waistband is not as tight as most elastic waistbands, and is definitely more comfortable. It is more of a tight fabric waistband that cuts into your side way less than a traditional elastic waistband. When first bought these tights are very soft and a nice color, overall would recommend.

These are probably my favorite tights I've ever worn, and I've been dancing for 21 years!
I used to not be a huge fan of Capezio tights, because the waistband was always too tight and the shades were limited. However, since they've broadened their shade range and improved the waistband, I'm now a fan!
The durability isn't the best, but it's definitely better than most.
The only thing that I would change would be the convertible opening in the foot. If it were reinforced like the Body Wrappers tights, I will have found my absolute dream tights!
I definitely recommend these, my current ones have lasted 2-3 years so far and are mostly still going strong!

This are the tights I have been wearing for over 3 years now and they are the only comfortable ones I can find. They do however get holes in the toes very easily. Another problem with these tights is that I am in between sizes. I need a Medium Large. I have very long legs, I am 5ft 1in, 90lbs, where a 0 in street clothes, and I'm not fat. I am currently wearing the small medium but I think I am going to have to order a large extra large as I am to tall for these. They barely come up to my hips. I love these tights but they could be better if they were made in a size medium large. I would recommend these to you if you can get them in the right size because they are amazing tights!

They are extremely strong and much less easy to rip or run. You must go up a size or 2. My daughter usually wears a large adult but we had to get the xxl adult because they are made so well, almost like super soft and comfortable support tights.

I was in a production of Aida at my local theater. I wore these on opening weekend, and on the second night I come offstage and find that there were two holes on my right thigh. I took one step and a run formed. I was very upset. Will not be buying again.

These are very comfortable and durable tights. They fit great and we have not had a problem with runs or holes, etc. The only problem is they fade in color (at least the "ballet pink" ones do). After just one wash and continuing on until they are practically see-through long before they wear out (they need to be replaced for color fade after only wearing 8-10 times). The good news is they last a long time without tears and runs! Until we find a better tight, we will continue to purchase these. But I do wish the color stayed true longer.

my daughter put these on for the first time, and within 5 minutes there was a run on the thigh. At the end of her first class using these there was a significant sized hole in the thigh. Went straight to the trash on the first day. WIll not be purchasing again.

I'm taking Ballet 101 and needed tights for class. These are perfect--they stretch so that it's not overly pink but just the right ballet pink. And the waistband stretches as well so it doesn't cinch your waist at all. I would've bought another pair, but wanted to look for something a little less expensive so we'll see how that goes!! These tights are absolutely my favorite! I bought these tights because a friend recommended them to me and I LOVE them! They are soo comfortable and the knit waistband is not only comfy but, also doesn't show through your leotard! These tights have a wonderful waistband -- so super comfortable -- the best I've ever seen. They are well made and the material is soft and a bit thicker than some of the cheaper brands. They have stood up well to my daughter (age 11) dancing 3 days a week, 2 to 3 hours each day. She has 3 pairs and has been wearing them for 8 months with no tears or runs in any of them. I would recommend ordering at least 1 size larger than the recommended size based on your height and weight though. No complaints on these except they are expensive.

"Ballet Pink" is darker than most

These are great tights. The reason I'm giving them a 4 instead of a 5 is for the color. Anyone in ballet knows that pink is pink and ballet pink is VERY light, almost ivory with pink overtones. The tights I was sent seem more pink than ballet pink. This is the first time I've ordered the capezios, so I'm not sure if they just run darker, or if someone stuffed pink tights into a ballet pink package by mistake. They are a good shade darker than the Balera version. Anyway, just wanted to toss that out for any dancers with very persnickety teachers... A note on sizing, the package gives a fairly wide range of heights/weights that the tights are for, but I would err on the size of caution. My 11 year old is in the upper left hand corner (the smallest/slimmest range of the tights) at 5 ft and 86 pounds. If you are in the larger half of the range (say 5' 3" and 105 lbs and up) I would probably buy the next size up, though I'm not sure because I don't know how big that size is.

They seem darker at first but once you put them on they match the regular tights. They fit the same but the waistband is much more comfortable and doesn't make any lines under my leos.

I Have had to cut the waistband of many tights so they wouldn't be so tight, uncomfortable, and leave bulges around my waist while wearing my leotards. I absolutely love these tights! I have been wearing Capezio tights for years and found these last year on DDS and decided to order a pair. They are just like the traditional capezio super soft tights however they don't have that horrible elastic waist band. The waist on these is the same material as the rest of the tights, just slightly thicker. They are perfect for wearing under low back leotards because you can wear them lower on your waist and not have those horrible lines from normal tights, and they wont dig into you at all. When they arrive they are more of a salmon color but when you put them on they look more like the normal ballet pink. I still have one pair that I have worn for almost 8 months twice a week and they are still in great condition, but they do have a slightly blue tint in the upper thigh only because of the shorts I wear over my leos to class. The only thing that would make these better is if they had the back seam that is on the "professional tights". Other than that I love these! I am 5'8 and I ordered the L/XL because I like to wear mine higher up on my waist and they fit great!

At first glance, I was a little put off by the intense Pepto-Bismal-Pink shade, but once the tights are on, the color is much lighter and rather pleasant. The waistband is by far the best feature - it's wide and non-constricting, which makes it both comfortable and flattering when worn either under or over a leotard. Love it.

My 12 year old daughter has had these for 6 months now, and the still look like they are in new condition. She is usually hard on tights,and somer brands of tights rip the first time she puts them on. She likes how the waistband can't be seen under her leotard, and it is soft and comfortable.

Best Tights

These are my favorite tights, they're just like the Capezio Ultra-Soft tights except the waist band is comfortable and doesn't dig in. They are really soft and durable, I've had mine for about a year and they haven't gotten a single hole in them. They do run a little small, so if you have long legs like I do, make sure you get a large/extra large. The only problem I have with them is that they don't come in light pink, the ballet pink is a little bright.

Great waistband

These tights are comfortable and soft. The band doesn't "cut" into my waist so they look great. They feel great when I need to wear them for long periods of time.

My girls loved these tights! Especially the waistband. it's not the 1" elastic band that is really tight. It's the knit soft one and it's totally a different feel when it comes to comfort. The last 10 pairs that we ordered were in the child LG size in capezio and the waste band was never comfortable. My girls don't meet all the weight and height measurements on the sizing chart for these adult tights, however they fit well and are comfortable. They have room to grow, but they do not sag or bag anywhere. They are both 52 " tall while one is at 68 lbs and the other is at 83 lbs. Still both like the way they fit and feel especially.

New favorite tights!!!!!

I ordered these tights a few weeks ago, and I am in love!!!! These are the COMFIEST tights I have EVER boughten- THAT'S saying something, because I've been dancing for 10 years!!!! There hasn't been a SINGLE snag so far, even though I dance ballet and contemporary 60 hours/week. This is an absolute STEAL, because it is extremely durable fabric for a cheap price, AND these tights are SUPER comfy. I live in Phoenix, AZ, so the flat-rate shipping ($2.50# mailed these to me in a day! So, these tights were cheaper than my last pair, which weren't that comfy #who wants to pay $27 at their local dance store?). INCREDIBLY PLEASED!!!!!!

New favorite tights!

These are my new favorite tights! Here's why:
- The waistband is SUPER comfortable!
- They do not squeeze or create a visible line under a leotard.
- The ballet pink color is just right (subtle but not washed out).
- The material seems substantial (like other Capezio tights).
I really disliked the older Capezio Ultra Soft tights because of the uncomfortable elastic waistband, but these are so comfortable that I didn't think about them a single time during class. Very happy customer here! :)
