They hold and stretch... overtime

Out of the box these are so small they won't even fit, but after wearing them they sort of break in and stretch out to fit you. They are really strange, just remember you have to stretch them out in order to fit but once they actually do fit you they are quite nice.

RUN VERY SMALL!!!!!!!!!!!! My daughter couldn't even get these over her calves!!!! Poor quality and no stretch!!!! Will never buy again!!!!!!!!!!!!

N stretch!

So far I've only tried them on to make sure they fit, so I haven't actually danced in them yet. I understand that most tights take time to stretch out, but these were a bit tough. I'm around 5'6" and 125 lbs, so I'm fairly thin for my height. I always get large tights due to height. The thing is, the height was great! The waist is pretty tight though and there's hardly any stretch to them, so putting them on the first time is a bit of a struggle. Once I wear them a few times hopefully they'll stretch out and I'll update my review... Durability wise, Capezios are a always the best and these seem well made, so we'll see how these hold up!

Fantastic Fit & Durability

I have never put a hole in these tights, and they even hold up well in the dryer (on Ultra Low setting). They are extremely soft and give nicely without ever losing shape or color.
My only complaint about ALL tights is that ANY waistband bothers me. To alleviate the issue, I simply cut a small slice out of the waistband...and the tights still never rip or unravel.

Latex caution

I have a latex sensitivity and didn't find out until after using these tights for a while that the spandex used for these tights may contain latex. I say may since apparently not every batch does, but some do. Danskin's Ultrasoft does not at all, and so that is what I use.
In addition, I wasn't happy with the feel nor with how quickly they lost their shape.
Not a happy dancer.

I love these for costuming...

I use these for costuming, cosplay, and theater. They are amazing! I ordered the suntan ones a year ago and have worn them several times. They never tear or rip- I feel like I got more than my money's worth. I'm back on the site today to buy three more pairs in different colors. I can't wait to have them!

I bought 2 pairs of these in June. Ive been wearing them for dance ever since I got them and they havent had any runs yet. Theyre super nice and true to size. There really comfortable too. I got them in Nude because thats what my studio requires for recitals and competions. Alot of the people in my classes dont even notice that Im wearing tights until i tell them. They match my skin tone really well (Im extremely pale) but they make me look more tan too. (which is good so I dont look washed out by all the lighting at performances)

I'm 5'7", 115 lbs with a 33" inseam. I ordered the Large and they just fit. I like that the waistband isn't too tight but overall I'm not impressed. According to the size chart I should be between M and L and I feel like I should have gotten XL after trying these on. The first pair of tights I ordered from D.D. was the Bloch Endura which had such a tight waistband that I decided to try some different brands. Now those super soft and stretchy Bloch tights are my favorites after sampling both these and the Dance Department tights.

The bad things about these tights is that the materials kinda weird. Like, it's not very soft. The waistband is tighter than other Capezio tights but they stretch a bit. Unless you want runs or holes in your tights, STRETCH THEM OUT BEFORE YOU PUT THEM ON. I always do. And if you don't they're a little short. The pink color fades after washing them. It looks almost white with a pinkish tint.
I mean, I could deal with these tights. There aren't many MAJOR issues. I have 2 pairs and only one ripped because I didn't stretch it, it was too tight, and my friend's dog ripped it. But I wear these to almost all classes I have ballet, pointe, tap, or even jazz sometimes.

These tights feel nice during the first wear, but once they are stretched, they don't feel as comfortable. Also, after I washed them, they stayed in the stretched state and lost its elasticity.

Long time wearer

I began wearing these when I began performing back in the 1980s. I have yet to find a superior "holding" pair of tights anywhere! The Suntan is also a perfect match for nude Capezio character/tap shoes - another bonus. I order these in bulk and wear them under pants all winter. It covers those flaws and keeps the legs looking terrific!

I have been wearing these forever

I discovered them in my teens for dance and now at the age of 40, I am still wearing them for class, but also for everyday. They make your legs look amazing and they suck everything in (ladies - no girdle required under a tight pencil skirt when you wear these - trust me...). The fabric is not as soft and 'pretty' as some of the more fashionable tights, but these are the ones I always go back to. One flaw, as noted, they often rip on the seam or in the heel by the second wearing. I don't remember that being the case years ago.

Great tights, color swatches misleading

These tights are awesome for hiding any leg imperfections -- with the right color, they look like skin, only perfect! From the color swatches, I ordered "Nude" first, but it is WAY too light and ashy -- even on my very fair-skinned friend they looked ashy and grey. I recommend the "light suntan" -- it works for my friends who are very light as well as for me who is light-skinned but with a tan.

Excellent tights, even in every day use. Waistband is good and with coolmax gusset
you don't need to wear at all. Your legs look really good because of the smooth material.
