I bought these tights for a performance for my 6 year old son in 2012. He has been wearing them for performances and classes and playing in them ever since and they are still outstanding! No tears or rips or problems of any kind. We bought the size M and they were a little long at the time but worked fine. We have both black and white. At age 10 he has finally outgrown them (2016) and we are ordering the size L now. He is 4' 6" now and about 60 pounds. He is very thin, which may be why he was able to wear them for so long without outgrowing them. I highly recommend these tights for boys. They are nearly indestructible!
My son has three pairs of these tights in rotation, and they have held up very well. The material is thick, almost like leotard material, so dance belts don't show through. As to the sizing, the size M fits my 4'8" 72 pound son, but they are a bit tight on my 4'6" 83 pound son. Hope that helps.
M Stevens tights are a great product. The tights can be used for many activities in addition to dance like exercise, running, biking and even just lounging. The other M Stevens products, such as the unitards and dance belts, are also top quality products.

For 5' 2", 107 pounds, 28.5" waist, body type: endomorph, street shoes Men's 9, what size do you recommend? He wears a Men's Small in the Eurotard tights and has wide feet. He is ten years old and not very adept at getting into tights by himself, especially when they fit snug.
A small would be the best recommended fit. His height and weight fall slightly under a size small, but his waist measurement should fall perfectly within the small requirements. - DDS Customer Service (07/16/2013)
