The elastic for this shoe is exactly where I typically break my slippers and wear them out too fast. These will last longer. They do look like rythmic gymnastics shoes, picky teachers might not allow. The cushioning is great. Stickers are stuck in the most unfortunate places and you will have to remove sticky residue from the heel. They are so comfortable and flexy I absolutely love them. I have a very wide foot with both sides bunions and narrow heels. Street shoe size is 7-7.5. 40D fits me perfectly and doesn't squish the bunions. The nikolay website has a better size chart for figuring out sizing.
