    VERY FLATTERING BALLET SHOE!

These Ballet shoes have a lower vamp that shows the profie of your feet. It looks really pretty with the arch design that curves to your foot. The material is also a little thicker, that helps them to last longer in my opinion. Love these shoes!

    LOW HEEL

I had been wearing Grishko slippers for years and had to find a new shoe when they were not available anymore. The heel on these is so low that I keep having to adjust it - it slips down all the time. Will need to go back to the drawing board to find a new ballet slipper.

    REALLY LOW HEEL

I like them okay but the heel just seems to be very low compared to my other ballet slippers. And the straps kinda dig into the top of my foot. I really want to like them, but I'm thinking they just aren't right for my feet.

    2ND REVIEW FOR THIS SHOE

I wore the Grishko canvas shoe for quite a few years. When this Nikolay canvas came out as a replacement (and I needed another ballet slipper) I decided to try this shoe. This is a pretty shoe on my foot but it took a couple tries to get the sizing. I remember my previous Grishko canvas ran small but this shoe appears to run even smaller and more narrow. I am a solid size 6 in street shoes with an average width (and no bunions). I settled on a size 38C (7.5) and it is a comfortable snug fit...next time I may even try a D width. The canvas appears slightly thinner than the previous Grishko canvas flats. I love that there is no drawstring and the elastics are pre-sewn.

    RUNS SMALL

I haven't purchased any ballet-related items in a few years and so I naively forgot that literally everything runs super small for no reason. So while a normal shoe that's EU size 40 would fit my US size 9 foot with room to spare, these were so small that my toes were scrunched up, and sure enough the sticker on the bottom said size 8.5. But of course there was no size chart on the website that would have told me this and now I get to guess on the correct size again while paying the return shipping fee. Otherwise the construction of the shoe seems nice and pretty durable. I just wish Discount Dance did a better job of listing and describing their items.

    JUST OKAY

These shoes are otherwise pretty good, but one of the pads in the front under the pad of the foot has a lump in it, making these shoes pretty uncomfortable.

    Nikolay Size

Hi, I am wearing women street shoes 5.5. What size of Nikolay SlippersPointe Shoes should I get?

Per vendor sizing suggestion, a size 5.5 would be equivalent to a Nikolay size 35 in ballet shoes.
