Tight around waist, but good
by: Kara - 10/07/2019

Fit: True to size
These tights, like almost all other tights, are too tight around the waist for my liking. Other than that they are great and I would recommend them.

Good quality but waistband was too tight

At 5'4" and 135 lbs, I should have easily fit into a size C, but although the legs fit great, the waistband cut into my middle. As other reviewers have done, too, I trimmed the sides of the waistband, but it barely helped.

Waist band is too tight
by: DancingS - 11/30/2017
Comfort:
Durability:
Fit: True to size
I have a very small frame and a tiny waist line for my height of 5'4'' and 109 pounds. I ordered B. The length of the tights barely fit my legs (and my legs are not considered long to my body proportion). And the worst part is the super tight waistline. Imagine how this would fit on somebody whose waist is the average size! I gave a tiny cuts to both sides and didn't seem to alleviate the problem too much. Other than this, the quality is very nice.

I really like how soft these are but for some reason I got a small hole my first wear. That being said I still wear them and they haven't run or gotten any more holes. Maybe just a fluke with this pair.

When i ordered these tights in "ballet pink", the color of them were very dark and almost a salmon color. If you buy these tights, for a true ballet pink buy the regular pink instead. As for the comfort and fit of these tights, there great and fit perfect from the size chart.Love them all except for the color!

Runs very small
by: Pinkie1 - 04/01/2016
Comfort:
Durability:
I'm amazed by how tiny these are! I bought the size B, and I'm 5'5 and 110 pounds. The waistband digs in so very tightly (I have a 24.5" waist), so I really should have gotten the size C!
They're beautiful tights and seem very durable, so I think that I can still wear them if I cut the waistband, but the tightness throughout the leg also makes them quite sheer in the thigh. I'll probably buy them again because they're great tights, but next time I'm buying size C.

Love these tights!
by: MontanaBallerina - 11/21/2015

These tights work wonders! I have been buying them for years - I have a stash of unopened ones in my ballet section of my closet. I always order a size B which is bigger than I need (Size A) and they feel so much better if you get a size up. One thing is, ballet pink is WAY darker than pink. Pink should be the ballet pink and visa versa. Thanks Bloch for making tights so awesome!

My dancer loves these tights! She says they are comfortable. I love them cause they actually last. I bought her 2 pairs in July for a 2 week ballet intensive in NYC. that 4 hrs a week of ballet. Plus she dances 10 hrs a week in them. We're just replacing them now.

My daughter loves the tights! We had not used this brand before so we compared the materials to the ones she normally wears and they were spot on. I only purchased one pair even though we like to have extra on hand just in case they rip, now I wish I would have went ahead and ordered more. We will certainly go back and purchase more when they are needed.

I have always loved Bloch tights!
by: deannaballerina - 03/09/2015

I love Bloch tights! They are so durable and the waist band is soft, but also stays up. I love to pull them up to my ribs for extra support. I am fitted at a B, but i have a 62in torso measurement so I usually buy a D so that I can pull them up all the way. Just remember like other reviews have said pink=light/ballet pink, ballet pink= salmon pink.

PINK = Light Pink, Ballet PINK = Coral Pink
by: Lils3120 - 01/20/2015
Comfort:
Durability:
Since you can't return Tights be sure to order the correct color. The Ballet Pink looks like a coral color and it's not your traditional light pink color. When you put it on it does fade out a bit, but you will stand out if your studio requires a light pink tight. The PINK color is your light pink color. The tights are wonderful and soft and well last my daughter for at least 6 months for a 3 hour weekly ballet/pointe class.

Wrong color?
by: Thimble - 11/11/2014

I ordered the ballet pink. While it's comfortable and fits well, it's not ballet pink. It's the adobe red/pink color that Bloch seems to like. My tights finally match my adobe red/pink Bloch leather ballet shoes, but ballet pink is much prettier and I'm not sure where they are going with the adobe red color. It doesn't look like flesh or pink.

I have wore a lot of different types of tights, and these have always ended up being the best. I love how soft the fabric feels, unlike some that are really scratchy. The colors are all really nice, and the "light tan" color actually looks pretty natural, not orangy like others. The foot holes are lined so they don't get runs as easily. Also, when fitting them, look more at height as they can stretch a lot side to side and not nearly as much up to down. At 5' 4", 80 lbs, I am an A, and the A fits, but the B gives me more stretch and coverage due to my long legs. Finally, they are very long lasting. If you are at least a little cautious when putting them on, they will last for forever! I've had pairs stay in perfect condition (except for being dirty) for over 6 months under daily wear, and I have one pair that is probably 3 years old (black), and they still don't have any runs, though the knees have gotten thin from doing modern floorwork. I love these tights!

Durable and soft

These tights are my favorite by far. They're durable, soft, and the color lasts for a really long time. I've been switching between three different pairs of these, and I've been doing that for about four months now, and they barely have any runs. The only downside is that the waistband is a bit tight.

Best Tights!
by: Lieara - 05/31/2013
I love these tights so much. I get my tights from a dance store near my studio but I might just get them from off here since they're so much cheaper. But what I really love about these is that they're really comfortable. They felt a little funny right out of the wash the first time I got them but it was something I got used to very easily. Also, they don't run for a while if you take good enough care of them. They might start a small run after a few wears but that can easily be stopped by some nail polish. Some people might not want to get them because after a few wears and washes they start to turn a little grey from the bright pink when you first get them, but to me it isn't a big problem. They still look pink when you put them on and that's all that matters to me. I guess if you're just looking for some very functional tights, you should get these. Otherwise, if you don't want to deal with runs and fading, I would look somewhere else.

Awesome!

My studio requires these tights, in ballet pink, to be worn to every class! At first I was nervous about the waistband being constricting, but if you get your true size they are amazing! When you first get them the color looks very bright but after a couple washes the color kind of fades into the perfect "true ballet pink" color! I only gave 4 stars for durability though, because they do start to run after about 10 wears! Still worth buying and overall I definitely recommend them!

These aren't my favorite

they run on the smaller side in the waist band, and really cut into my side! I would have horrendous marks after a one-hour class, much less a recital or other performance day. The pink color also fades to a very unattractive grey even when washed on delicate and laid out to dry.

Theses tights are very comfortable. But when I got these I was a little dissapointed,I got light tan but they came out really dark even after I wore them for a month. The size ran small for me. The rubber around the waist dug into my skin and hurt during my performance.

These are some of the best tights I have ever owned. If you want Ballet Pink get the just Pink ones. I am right between sizes so I get the large one. They are very comfortable and nothing sticks to them.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed when I opened my package of tights. The color was awful! It was almost a salmon pink color even though I ordered the Ballet Pink. It was definitely not ballet pink, as it was much brighter even after I put them on. I would not wear these to class as they would make me stand out among all the other girls.

I just ordered 4 pairs of size B ballet pink tights. When they came they were a very bright salmon pink color not a classical ballet pink color. I am 5'6" and 106 lbs. and the tights are a little snug. Next time I am getting size C. The waist band is lower then on other Bloch tights I have and very thick. They are ok and will work but I do not love them.

These tights are "okay".
At first when I got them, they were too small, then my Mom sorta stretched them, and they then fit perfectly. I got the ballet pink color, and it is like a peachy pink. I don't really like the color because it makes me stand out a bit. But for comfort it is just a tad bit tight around the waist, but I can deal with it :) Overall it is a nice set of stockings!

These were my very first pair of convertibles, way back when, and ever since, these are still my favorite! I've tried many others, and these are the best for the price. They fit nicely and don't get runs that fast.

I have been using these tights for the past 5 years (since I started ballet) and Like Em said, these were the only tights my dance store stocked. These are pretty pink in the package then you put them on and they are pink but very light. Then when you wash them, compared to other tights, they look whitish gray. All I'm trying to say is they are pretty good but I recommend getting different tights.

My dance store only stocks these tights, so I've been using them for years now. The foot part is very tight, so you girls with muscly calves will have issues putting these above your ankles. The foot part will rip really easy, so you really need to be careful. After a few washings, they turn a more gray color from pink. I hate to be negative about these, but I've just gotten so fed up with them. I'm now ordering Danskin tights.

Tight waistband fix...
by: Callie - 10/22/2007 - Texas,
Comfort:
Durability:
Fit: Runs small
I hated these in the beginning because they gave the 'muffin top' look! The waistband is SO tight that they cut into your midsection in a very uncomfortable way and I have very little fat on my body! They also have a very high waist, so if you like a low-backed leo, you might want the 'hip-star' version. They are required by our company, so I started cutting the seam of the elastic waistband down to just above the tights, then sewing or coating the ends with nail varnish so they wont unravel. It's like cutting off a corset! Other than that, they are great tights that don't bunch at the knees or run easily.
