I'm an adult dancer returning to pointe after many years and started off with Ouch Pouches. They just weren't enough for my feet and so I decided to try the Leo's and they made SUCH a difference! In one class, things I couldn't do the week before because of the pain, I could do! They do make my shoes a little snug, but nothing uncomfortable and my feet don't go numb like some people have found. I'd highly recommend these for a beginning dancer.

Raghen08/04/2011 North Dakota,GREAT FOR BEGINNERS!!
I'm a beginner in pointe, and I found these to be very comfortable! They can get sticky and sweaty, but I just coat them with talcum powder to keep them fresh. Like these!

Ally04/28/2010 Maryland,SUPER DURABLE!
I've had these toe pads for 3 years and they are still just as thick as when I got them. Great deal for the price, and they are very durable, very comfortable, and very thick. The only bad thing I could say is that in some shoes they make it very difficult to feel the floor, because of their thickness. I have switched to Ouch Pouches for this reason, but I still have yet to find something this durable!

Anonymous07/25/2009WAY TOO THICK
They are so ridiculously thick, that not only can you not feel the floor beneath your toes...they may change the fit of your shoes to the point of needing to go up a half-size in both width and length. If you've been curious to try them, better do it at a fitting just in case.

Sonia05/17/2009 Costa Rica,
When I quit ballet at 12, I swore I would go back someday, but would never wear pointe shoes again. As an adult, I not only went back to ballet class but could also reconcile myself with the beauty of pointe practice thanks to SoftPoint. Pointe work is not torture anymore and these gel pads allow me to extremely enjoy what I so hated before. Thanks LEO'S!!!

Christy11/14/2008 Mississippi,GOOD FOR BEGINNERS
A few years ago when I started pointe, we were required to wear these with our Capezio pointe shoes. Since then I have adjusted to different shoes and pads. These were becoming too bulky, and impossible to feel the floor, once I advanced and passed the critical learning period. I recommend these for beginners, but eventually you'll have to get some thinner ones.

These toepads are great because they cushion my foot very well. I have to wear them over my tights or else they become sweaty and slippery. But other than that, they're perfect.

Tomara03/24/2008 Ohio,
These pads really do take away a lot of the pain on pointe. Rather than having gel tips and paper towels. But these make your feet go completely numb, that your feet start to hurt. But when you first put this on, your big toe hurts a little. But other than that they are pretty good. I still prefer Skinny Dips. LOVE EM <3

Not the best toepad. Way too much gel, seriously! Try the purple ones.

These toe pads are great. I'm new on pointe. Whenever we did center, the other people who were new couldn't get on pointe that well, but I'm able to get on pointe all the way with these =]

Marissa07/12/2007 Alabama,ONLY I HAVE EVER USED
I don't really know if there are any toe pads better than these, because I have never used anything other than these. They work for me though! My toes never hurt! Everyone in my class has these toe pads! The thing is that I payed $22 for them at my dance studio because the only other choice was the lamb's wool, which seemed painful. So they may seem expensive, but compare them to what I had to pay! Overall, they are comfortable but they smell bad and may stick to your feet after practice! This is gross but- they don't absorb sweat and they get pretty wet!

Angry Dancer!06/16/2007 Missouri,COULD DEFINITELY BE MUCH BETTER
Well, I was VERY appreciative of them when I first started pointe. They do make your feet feel good when you're only on them for like 5 minutes. However, after warm-ups, my feet are already screaming. My toes go numb, I can't feel the floor, and the rest of my feet get this weird burning sensation, whether I'm dancing or not. I cannot get over my box in these, they are much too thick. And no, ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL!!!

Dancer girl04/05/2007THE WORST
These are terrible. I first got them because I thought that they would be more comfortable. I was wrong. After 5 minutes en pointe, your feet turn completely numb. I almost thought of quitting pointe, it hurt so bad. They also make your shoes stretch, so I when I used thinner toe pads, my shoes were baggy. I recommend Gellows half gel, half sock. Gellows make pointe painless.
I hate these so much, my toes become completely numb within 5 minutes! I do not recommend these 2 ANYBODY. If you are a first year on pointe, get the Ouch Pouch Jr. They will help you learn to get up on your box more.

Michaela03/04/2007 Connecticut,
I hate these! They made it practically impossible to dance! Also, when my feet got sweaty, they moved around so the thin part was on my toes and the thick was on the bottom of my foot. I would slip and twist my ankle all the time! Whatever you do, don't buy these! I recommend the Bunhead Ouch Pouches instead.

Caroline01/16/2007 Boston,LOVE THESE
I started off with lambswool and used it for about a year, until my friend told me about these toe pads. They do get sticky sometimes and maybe some people think they're too thick, but I'd rather be concentrating on dancing than how much my toes are hurting with lambswool or a thinner toe pad. They're very comfortable and have greatly increased my balancing ability. I will use these forever.

Marisa12/26/2006OMG
I love these!!! Lambs wool hurts, so I need to use gel so that my feet don't get all beaten up in my pointe shoes. I got those blue toepads, and then my feet didn't fit in my shoes! I HATE those toepads. But then I still needed gel, because my feet like those kind, and otherwise I would have to use lambswool. So these are perfect because they fit in my shoes. They're so super comfy and it feels like you're not even wearing shoes! But it kinda hurts when you take them off. Sometimes they stick to my feet, it's really weird. But anyways, I love these pads! and they dont rip either. Thats a two thumbs up.

My feet always hurt before I got these toe pads. My old toe pads were not as well padded. Now it feels really comfortable to dance in them.

A. S.09/10/2006MY FAVORITES
I like these pads a lot. I started out with another brand and didn't like how the gel was the same thickness at all parts of the pad. This one has more padding where you need it and less where you don't. They do get a little sticky, but shaking some baby powder on them makes them like new. Sometimes I need to use some tape to hold them in place on my wide feet, but they are definitely a great choice!

I have these, and they are wearing out after 2 years of use. They are really thick, and pink ends up sticking up out of the top of my shoe. I can barely feel the floor. They are really hard to get in my shoe cause they get all sticky.

Kacy08/08/2006 Woodburn,in,I DON'T LIKE THESE!!!!!
I saw these on their web site and I bought them after being on pointe for about 4 years. I couldn't feel my toes after about 10 minutes and plus my pointe shoe that fit me perfectly wouldn't go on my foot!! I would not buy this product again!

I got these pads about a year ago, and they still work great, they don't smell. But I don't wear them often, just because they are VERY thick, and it is tough to feel the floor. But if your toes are tapered and you tend to put all the weight on your big toe, these offer a lot of relief, but I wouldn't recommend them if you have large or wide feet. I wear a street shoe 7 and have skinny feet, and they are a tight squeeze!!!

Kristen06/27/2006 Montana,OKAY, I GUESS
If you want something thick, but not as thick as Eurotard, I would recommend these. They are a pretty color, but they are too thick in the toe area, and thin and not durable right in the ball of the foot area.

Jess06/22/2006I CAN'T FEEL MY TOES!
These were horrible! I couldn't feel the floor, my toes went numb, and I had a hard time squeezing them into my pointe shoes. I even bought new ones a larger size and still had problems.

I wouldn't recommend these. They are difficult to squeeze into pointe shoes and they made my feet go numb, making it so I couldn't pointe my feet properly.

Layla06/04/2006NOT GOOD FOR THOSE THAT HAVE SWEATY FEET
I borrowed a pair of these once from a classmate. Even though our pointe class that day was fairly short, my feet were drenched in sweat because these pads don't breath! Even though they were quite comfortable and protected my toes well, I think I'll stick to my good old wool toe pads.

Lacey05/22/2006I LIKE THEM BUT......
I like these toe pads, but a lot of people I know have hated them.
PROS- Don't get smelly, dry very quickly, thick enough so you don't have to tape toes which saves time.
CONS- many people I know tried them and thought they were too thick, because they're thick you may have to go up a size in shoes, after a few months they rip and sometimes so they are aren't use-able, after several hours they get slippery and slide around ***(this can easily be fixed by putting paper towels or a thin cloth between your feet and the toe pad).
To me the comfort and non-smelliness are enough to put up with the all the cons.
For the people who are worried about the thickness of them, I think they have a "pro" version that is thinner, so you might give those a try.

Kayla05/22/2006 Ohio,VERY COMFORTABLE
I started with Bunheads Ouch Pouch and they weren't the right size for my toes and they weren't very comfortable. But these give you full coverage, and I have Greek feet, which leaves a lot of pressure on my second toe. These give me just enough padding to keep me comfortable. But I cannot feel the floor very well but, they are very comfortable, durable and non-sticky!

I've been on pointe for about a year and a half so I'm still learning, I had a hard time going up on full pointe with these. I couldn't feel the floor so I kept rolling out to the side. They also made my shoe way too small causing all my toes to go numb after I got off pointe. Ouch Pouches are way better.

Anonymous04/22/2006OKAY
I would not recommend these for an inexperienced dancer. You cannot feel the floor and your toes are pretty uncomfortable in them, even if they do provide padding. I would like them more if I could wear them over my tights but they are so thick, that I have to wear them under which causes my feet to get very icky and sweatier than usual. Plus, they make them very numb.

jules04/16/2006 Minnesota,
These are by far my favorite toe pads that I have tried, in my ten years of dancing en pointe. They are comfortable and durable. I started on lamb's wool and have since used the Danztech gel pads, the Eurotard ultra lights (clear), the Eurotard pointe comforts (blue), & the Capezio foam pads. The Leo pads ARE very thick, so I would not recommend them for new or less experienced pointe dancers, as they will not be able to feel the floor very well. Only older, experienced dancers, that want comfort, should use these.
