22girl11/14/2011 Salem, Or,I DONT THINK THIS IS CHEATING.
I have a killer arch on my right foot; however, my left foot sucks, really bad! I work both feet the same amount, if anything, I work my left foot harder. Its kind of weird when I go out to Second on pointe and my right foot is like BAM! and my left foot is like.. LAAAAMMEE! I dont think this is cheating.

Renee12/03/2008 Seattle, Wa,AWESOME AS FOOT PROTECTION
My belly dance troupe uses these as protection for the tops of our feet during floor work. They are excellent for this purpose.

Dance4ever10/21/2008UNFAIR
I think its so unfair when people say this is the easy way out. I have worked on my incredibly low arches SO much. I have gone to physical therapy, pilates, you name i done it...and I'm only 16! I purchased these to boost my confidence when I dance, not to take the easy way out. I still work on my feet, ALOT, but these boost my confidence and make my feet look great.

PointePrincess01/15/2008 Tampa, Fl,
OK, I have bought these for an experiment of mine. I have two completely different arches (I'm NOT joking.) My right arch is much nicer than my left. I did use this on my left foot. I worked both feet the same way for about a month, the left one with this... After that time period, I stopped working my left foot with the arch enhancer and my arch was much stronger/better. It is not cheating or being lazy, but it does help to strengthen your arch. I took ballet and pointe 6 days a week for a month and this improved my bad arch. So something for you to think about when reading the other reviews.

Anonymous04/29/2007 New York,WORKS FOR SOME FEET. NOT ALL!
I'm a male dancer and I have been dancing professionally for over a decade now. I've competed in many international competitions such as Varna, Nagoya, Moscow, USAIBC...etc and I've seen many competitors "tape" their feet before going on stage. Even those with wicked high arches (not to mention some famous names) and I wasn't the only one. My feet aren't bad, they are actually pretty good. However, I tend to have thicker feet w/ more top arch & less flexibility (kinda like Baryshnikov's). So these looked awkward on me until I did some modification (tear out the padding & tape the rest onto my feet). I've worked on my feet very hard for many years and with a couple of good methods, I was able to stretch my feet beyond my physical limit after literally "breaking" my feet twice. But I know they're still not good enough for international standards. So I know how it feels to have bad feet. So people, work hard. But be smart. I'm not telling you to stop trying and rely on this product, as it'll become your ego, but do what's best for you! I still wear these for many gala performances, but not everyday.
PS: works best for longer, skinny feet with flatter top & more ankle flexibility. If your feet don't point beyond a straight line (achievable for all dancers), these would look weird.

These arches are good and help not only your aesthetics but also your confidence... I'm not lazy; I work extremely hard but when it comes to your arches, there is only so much strengthening that you can do, right?
A little tip: if they look too much, cut off one of the pads. And to stop them from ruching up when you plie, tape them to your foot at the top and bottom with tan toe tape! Good luck .x.

COME ON PEOPLE! Don't be plastic (fake) be who you are and just keep working on ur arches. No one NEEDS them, they're a waste of money. Don't fake it and be like "I have a great arch NOW" it won't change anything, it'll just make you look different. Why spend the money to be fake and lame? Anyway, just had to say something.

Just to let you know, a famous Russian ballerina Galina Ulanova wore something like that and still, she was the best of the best.

Anonymous10/29/2006 London,DON'T BOTHER BUYING
I was about to buy this but then I read the reviews. I don't have totally horrible arches, but they aren't beautiful either. I don't think it's cheating to wear these but if it adds bulk, it hardly seems worth it. Especially if you have to get a bigger size pointe shoe for it. You won't always be able to wear it on stage and out of class and stuff, so people will know what you're doing. I know my teachers wouldn't let me wear them. Royal ballet is too competitive to bother wearing stuff like that. The pictures look pretty but they don't look that different. Not all dancers have totally amazing arches but they're still amazing dancers, so there isn't much point in wearing them except for pictures or something like that.

Anonymous10/12/2006THINK AGAIN!
This arch enhancer is only for show! It does not improve your arches, it just adds padding. You should try to naturally enhance your arches by doing exercises or wearing GMs. Don't be fooled.

Ali10/08/2006WORKS FOR SOME FEET
On my particular feet, these help just a little, but on others they look great. I have been stretching my feet everyday for 3 years and they have improved very little. My podiatrist says that my feet, because of their bone structure, will never change that much. But , if you have low arches and need inspiration, look at Gillian Murphy of ABT, she is fantastic, and has feet just like mine. Try these out to see if they look good on your feet.

Kels08/07/2006IT'S NOT CHEATING
I don't believe that this is cheating at all. I am on pointe and I personally don't need these because I was born with high arches, but for the dancers who need the arch support, should have it. And if you think it's lying about your feet and your lying to your friends and your teacher, it should be up to your teachers to say that you're not allowed to use them.

iDance4jJesus12904/22/2006IT'S FAKING IT ALL.
This product is something only to fake your talent. It is silly because all you are doing is lying, especially to your teacher and friends. It doesn't even do anything. It's like you're not even willing to work hard to get good!
