    AMAZING!

I have naturally high arches and wide to narrow feet so, I couldn't find any shoes that really held my arch and looked good. Then my teacher recommend these!! They lasted me a good few months! I was very pleased with these and can't wait to see how long they will last through nutcracker!

    NT RIGHT FOR ME

The description of theses shoes as "capezio's strongest box and shank" had me very exited, but upon wearing them I discovered many faults. The box and shank sure were strong but too much so. I enjoyed the support, but demi-pointe was simply impossible in these. I usually take no time to break shoes in, but these were a different story. The unbreakable demi led to the heel slipping off any time I moved especially on flat. They are 3/4 shanked a bit too low on my arch, and a the vamp was a bit shallow, but my main problem with them was the horrible demi-pointe break in. I've had these for a month and although the lasting strength of the box is nice, break-in is still unsuccessful. I ended up having to sew and extra peice of elastic on my heel to lace the ribbons through for extra resistance when trying to stand demi. This helped a bit but not too much, the heels fell off incesantly! I suggest these for no one.

    FABULOUS POINTE SHOES!

I have finally found an amazing pair of pointe shoes for my wide, arched feet! They have lasted me forever! I got a pair in mid-November to break in before Nutcracker and they have lasted through Nutcracker and I am just now getting another pair. The elastic drawstring is great. It forms to my foot so I don't have a gap thing going on when I'm on demi pointe. Love love love!

    VERY GOOD

These shoes, in my opinion, are a cut above the rest of the Capezio pointe shoe models. Their new elastic drawstring is a very nice, fresh new feature. I also feel like the satin is a bit more supple/stretchy than those of the other models. They are also very silent, which is pleasant to hear whenever I execute bourres sur la pointe across the floor. Last but not least, their durability compared to the other Capezio models simply astounds me. I have highly arched, stronger feet , and in any other Capezio model, I would kill the shoes within one or two days, tops. These lasted me for 3 weeks, a superb improvement. I just wish their vamps would be a bit higher, but overall, very good shoes, very good.

    How do I know if I'm W, N, or M? I generally go for Grishko 2007's and I'm always a 5 xxx.

Please size yourself according to your basic street shoe size. N-Narrow M-Medium W-Wide A XXX in 2007 is approximately a Medium/Average width shoe.

    Sizing?

What Is the sizing for the studio pointe shoe? Is it the same as other Capezio pointe shoes or different?

The suggested fitting for these per Capezio is to order the same as your street shoe size.

i used the capezio glisses in the W width, i'm a size 8 street shoe. will the fitting be the same? i

The suggested fitting for these per Capezio is to order the same as your street shoe size. The glisse however suggests to order ?-1 size larger than street size per Capezio.

    Resemble

Do these shoes resemble any of the other capezio models? Specifically the tiffany?

I would love clarification of this question, too, but my hunch is that yes, this shoe is similar to the Tiffany. I was in a dance store for a Capezio fitting lead by a Capezio representative, and she put me in a shoe she called "the new Tiffany." She repeatedly referred to it that way, and she emphasized that it had elastic binding (because I have narrow feet and I hate when my shoes are baggy). So I came here to DDS to buy more shoes, and according to this site, the true Tiffany does not have elastic binding, but this shoe does... So my impression is that this is basically the same as a Tiffany but with elastic binding and a harder shank. However, I am not a Capezio rep myself, only a professional dancer, so I could be wrong. - Specialkaygt (02/06/2014)
