My dance group uses this shoes. It runs a full 1 size too small. If you order your street shoe size, you end up with a black big toe.

Rosette03/02/2013NT FOR IRISH, MAYBE FOR LYRICAL
These are NOT good shoes for Irish. They LOOK like Ghillies, but do not provide any of the support a well made ghillie provides. Go to an Irish retailer for real ghillies, they are more expensive but your feet will thank you.
These shoes would probably be ok for lyrical, however, since the sole is hard leather rather than suede they will be slippery. It also takes a while to break the hard full sole in so you can pointe well.

Just so you know!11/05/2011IRISH STEP DANCE SHOES
These are definitely not Irish step dance shoes. The toe comes up too high on the foot, the tabs aren't squared off enough, they're laced incorrectly (should be crossed in front of the ankle), and they're too big for the model. These more closely resemble lyrical ghillies, which are often offered in tan Irish step dancers never wear tan, only black.

JLM 05/23/2013 Age: 18 to 24 Are there more sizes?
Is there a way to get these up to the size of 12-13 wide?
Unfortunately this shoe only goes up to a size 10. There is another ghillie, style #MD02 that goes up to large sizes. The sizing suggestion on that shoe is to order 2.5 sizes lower than your normal street shoe. That means the largest size the #MD02 comes in (11) is practically equivalent to a 13.5/14. - DDS Customer Service (05/25/2013)
