I am a ballroom dance teacher and I have had some issues with my feet for years. I often was unable to stay for social dancing after hours of teaching because my feet would hurt so much. Well, these shoes have changed all of that! I just stayed for a social dance (all the way to the end) for the first time in probably a year because these shoes made me able to do that. So much easier to dance in than heels or even my other teaching shoes. An added bonus that I can point my toes in them and they look so much sleeker and less chunky than other dance sneakers on the market.
Thank you!

LMNOP05/12/2014GREAT DANCE SHOE
I am a jazz dancer, and really like this shoe better than jazz shoes. It is comfortable, has just the right amount of cushion, and has plenty of toe room. I did order them 1/2 size smaller than my street shoe size. Other jazz dancers have bought this shoe and like it too!
If you like jazz sneakers, but want a sleeker look, I would recommend this shoe.
If you want a regular jazz shoe without any support, I would not recommend it.

ballroomDancer081210/10/2013COMFORTABLE, RUNS LARGE
I'm really enjoying these shoes so far. They are like wearing slippers! I use them for ballroom practice, so the suede bottom (ball & heel) is perfect. I ordered a 7.5, which is my size in other Stephanie shoes, but they are slightly too big. You may want to go a 1/2 size down.
I also liked that they came with a second set of laces (black & white), since I'm not really a fan of the yellow!
There were a couple of spots under the laces that were a little roughly sewn on, but it looks like it will hold together OK and isn't really noticeable.

Salsarita 02/20/2014 Denver, Co Age: 25 to 34 What is the approximate measurement difference between sizes?
Product: Stephanie Adult Ballroom Sneaker Split Sole
(I was not able to add this product by picture from the catalog)
How much smaller is a half size typically in this brand? I ordered a 5 as I usually wear a 5.5 or 6 (in women's sizes) and other reviewers advised to order down so I did. It still seems a little big but I don't want to exchange if the half size down would be more than about a centimeter in length. Also this shoe is not form fitting in the toe for me. There seems to be extra room in the height of the toe area. This may also be because I just need a smaller size. Other than that, the shoe is very comfortable, has a great sole for ballroom practice, and would work well for me. Any help is appreciated. Thank you
Typically a half size down is a quarter inch less room. - DDS Customer Service (02/25/2014)
Is this shoe padded? Does it have any sort of shank?
This shoe has a standard insole. Since the shoe is constructed for ballroom, the insole and sole are thin so that the dancer can feel the floor. - DDS Customer Service (02/24/2014)
Do these run similar to ladies street shoe sizing? For example if I am between a 7.5 and 8 in street shoes what is the suggested size for this shoe? Thank you.
This particular shoe runs true to size, so if you are in between sizes, we always recommend ordering the larger size. - DDS Customer Service (01/15/2014)
I wear a 11 mens street shoe so what size should I get? How do they run?
These shoes are sized for women. What that means is that to obtain a men's equivalent you would need to order approximately 2 sizes larger than your street shoe size. - DDS Customer Service (08/22/2013)
