Unfortunately this style or item in particular is not made for adults with hips. I'm 5'3", 110 pounds, and slim, but do have hips that are average-to-moderately wide (38" hips), and this product was not designed for my body shape. I can tell that it would work better for bodies with very narrow or flat hips as well as butt (they ride up on me in the back). Additionally, the height of the high waist on these shorts is uncomfortable and awkward probably due to them being super high which is unfortunate. I would not recommend this product.

NOT VERY IMPRESSED
These do not quite fit like they do in the photo. They are not as compressive as I expected, and definitely ride up. If I wear them with my leotard, it is as if I have no shorts on at all because butt cheeks just hang right out after a few battements. It is too much of a hassle to return, so I will keep them for awhile, but they will probably end up at goodwill before long...

I was very disappointed when i got these because they ride up doing simple tendus. The high waist , material , color and everything else is great. However, if you have muscular thighs these ride up and do not recommend them.

I like the high waist of these shorts, and they are also easy to roll down if I want a slightly lower waist like. tough tight material so they suck you in real nice. Good leg length.

Love these shorts! Usually i have a hard time finding long , durable , and right fitting dance shorts.These shorts are all of those things.They are just the right length for my long legs and super comfortable. Overall great shorts.

When I was told I needed black dance shorts for my choir tour, I immediately went to Discount Dance. I was also ordering character shoes, so I figured I should order some dance shorts at the same time
I have never been comfortable with hip hugging or low-riding pants or shorts, so I ordered high waist shorts. These are absolutely fabulous! The material is most definitely not see through at all, and it seems like it will be very durable as it is thick but breathable and comfortable.
I wear a pants size 8, so I ordered a Medium or Small or medium, and they fit wonderfully! These shorts are very flexible, and the sizing is accurate.

HIGH WAIST
I bought these because I hate it when my shorts are low rise, but my tights are high waisted. These shorts fixed that problem! They can also be worn folded down, but I like them worn high under a tank top. I'm an adult woman, so I like how it smooths out the line of my tights and keeps everything snug and in place.

LOVE these shorts!!! I wear them to Adult Ballet over tights with a tank or Tee instead of a leotard. Super cute! They hold you in so you don't have a muffin top and the leg holes are just right (they dont squeeze your thighs yet you don't have to worry about flashing anyone) They look cute under a ballet skirt too. Highly recommend.

GREAT PURCHASE!
Bought these to wear more in my everyday life than in dance, and was very happy with what I got. At first glance they looked too small, but once I put them on they fit perfectly. Extremely comfortable, and not too short. I am 5'10" 155 lbs and I got a medium.

COMFY BUT STAINS MY PINK TIGHTS
These high-waist shorts are just what I was looking for. They are very comfortable and look great. However, they did stain my pink tights. I've hand washed them a couple of times now and tried vinegar, but the water still gets black when I wash them. I'm sad about the black stains on my new tights, but I still like these shorts. Wearing them with black tights will probably work better.

LOVE THESE! SUPER COMFORTABLE
After eyeing these shorts for a while, I finally broke down and bought a pair and I'm so glad I did! They are super comfortable and fit like a glove. They roll up a little bit when you dance in them, but not any more so than other similar shorts. You can wear them high-waisted or folded down. Perfect for class, rehearsal, auditions, or performances. Can't wait to try them out at rehearsal tonight!

FITS GREAT
I ordered these for my 12 year old daughter. Most booty shorts are very short on her, inappropriately short. I was pleasantly surprised that these shorts are a good length on her. I definitely recommend for taller girls who like full coverage. We like so much that I'm ordering another pair.
