This leo fits like a second skin in the best possible sense, and even as a plus-sized dancer I found this leo to be comfortable and flattering.
In US street clothes sizes, I average an 18w in pants and 16 to 20 in tops (depending on cut, style, fabric type, etc). I purchased this leo in a size xL. Honestly I wasn’t expecting anything by Mariia to fit me at all, much less well. The Leo is snug but in a comfortably compressive sort of way, the back is low enough to keep cool but high enough to preserve some modesty. The upper arm holes are a touch snug, but then again I have the shoulders of a linebacker, so there’s that. And they weren’t so tight that the leo was restrictive in any way.
Further, my aesthetic is that of a low-key goth girl, and this is 100% checks all the boxes I could possibly have on the list for a durable, functional, and beautiful piece of dancewear that also completely suits my taste.

SO BEAUTIFUL
This scallop leotard is so gorgeous! It's very comfy, and fits perfectly. I love the lace detailing!
The fabric is also super soft.

PRETTY AND COMFORTABLE BUT THE LACE SLEEVE PART IS NOT SNUG
I am 5 ft 7 in, 61 girth 34-28-38 and ordered a Medium. Comfortable and good fit like the numerous other Mariia leos I have ever tried. Compared with many other other ballet brands, Mariia runs a bit large, but unlike those brands, it is refreshingly true-to-size with reference to its given size chart. I returned because the lace portion of the sleeves was not as form-fitting as it appears to be in the photos and for me the lower sleeves would have been distractingly loose to dance in. On me the lace portion fits more like the sleeves of a not-so-snug fitted top than like leotard sleeves (and my arms are not that small! For example on me the long-sleeved Medium Lulli Lada has uncomfortably tight and constricting sleeves throughout the upper and lower arm and the armpit area was too small period). With the Mariia sleeves though you can easily fold or push up the lace part of the sleeves if you want the leo for its other style points.

GORGEOUS LEOTARD
The sleeves are so beautiful on this leotard! Super comfortable, and it's not restricting while moving your arms around. Definitely a lovely leotard for class, but I think it would also make a wonderful costume (for a performance or competition) as well!
