My daughter is almost 9 and normally wears a size 3 in street shoes. I ordered a size 5.5W for her as she has wider feet, and they have a little room to grow but are comfortable for her. The only thing she says is that when she bends her toes in the front, the shoe bends out slightly where the toes meet the foot which feels a little funny for her, but we'll see if that changes as she continues wearing them. Otherwise, she's happy and ready for dance class!

FIT PERFECTLY
Bought my 7 year old who wears a 3 in street shoes a size 6 in womens off of the sizing chart and they fit perfectly... I was a little worried cuz it said to add 2 from street size and then chose the women size that goes with it ... So make sure you follow the sizing chart :)

I am a 67 year old former dancer who wants to tap dance again. I have wide short feet and wear orthodontics in my regular shoes. I got these shoes in a wide and they fit like a dream. With the buckle I can adjust for the type of sock I am wearing. I particularly like them because the leather is soft and required no break in time. They feel like ballet shoes while giving off a clear sound when tapping.

I ordered these for my daughter who is 10 and she normally wears a size 3, so I went ahead and ordered a size 4 to be safe. Boy, was I wrong....WAY TOO SMALL...these shoes are not true to size! Disappointed....

THROWING SCREWS LIKE CRAZY!!!
I've ordered these shoes for my studio for the last 2 years and Capezio has been shearing off their screws to fit the shoes rather than designing new shoes, so that the screws are falling out and now every trick I have for keeping screws in no longer works. Supposedly they are finally looking at fixing this problem - but I'm changing over to Bloch cause they took too long!!!

These are the worst tap shoes I have ever had! I am back taking adult classes after a 10 year hiatus from dance. I am so disappointed in spending money on shoes I hate. They do not fit well (too big - the next size is too small) and I can never get good sound out.

These are only good for young children. I thought they were cute so I tried them but they are difficult to tap in and toe stands are impossible.

I ordered the Theatricals brand for a studentwhile the length was fine, the medium width shoe was extremely narrow. Are the widths for these shoes true to size?
Capezio shoes tend to run narrow. If you have a wider foot you may want to order this in a wide width. - DDS Customer Service (02/24/2021)
