Modern half sole by Angelo Luzio creates a beautiful ballet line without the heel, while the freedom pleats easily allow for toe pointe-to-flex movement. Slipper also features a soft, tanned leather exterior, sure-grip suede sole and a cut-away design that displays the dancer's arch. For a comfortable fit, go down two sizes from street shoe; for a snug fit, go down three sizes from street shoe. Ideal for modern and contemporary lyrical dancing.

I have been wearing these shoes for a long time. They can be hard to find. They are my absolute favorite!! I train over 20 hours a week and have tried many other truing shoes. These are my go to turning shoes!! I size down because I like them snug. They seem true to size though.

xXSaraBearXx09/24/2015GREAT FOR TURNING, DON'T LAST LONG
I got these for lyrical/contemporary competition dances and enjoyed how well they turn. They aren't too slippery or too rough, which is great. However when you first buy them they tend to be a little hard to turn in. I dance between 10-20+ hours per week, resulting in these shoes breaking in way too quickly, resulting in holes and worn out fabric very quickly. If you dance and compete a lot, I would not recommend these because they won't look stage ready after being worn for a month or 2.

dancersmom1205/19/2014VERY DURABLE AND COMFORTABLE
We purchased these at the recommendation of another mom in our studio. They stood up well to intensive solo rehearsals and still looked good for competition. My daughter liked the fact that the straps had grip on them so they were not sliding off of her heels.

ColleenT05/17/2014LOVE THIS!
True to size! It is a great shoe on its own, but I think it is also one of the best "transition" shoes when adjusting from jazz shoe to modern shoe.

DanceMomAshley01/21/2014NICE TURNING SHOES AND GOOD VALUE
My daughter loves these shoes! They fit well, as long as you listen to the sizing and buy smaller than street size. My dance was able to wear them for about 6 months, dancing an average of 4 hours a week in them, before getting any holes. The elastic straps did need to be re-sewn/re-enforced to the shoe cap after about a month. The elastic part is adjustable and comfortable, which is not always the case for turning shoes. The company even improved the back elastic on by the time we ordered the second set by adding some grippy plastic on the insides of the elastic.

I really love the barefoot look, but foot undeez do not work for me for turns. I've tried foot undeez, paws, and a few other types but was never satisfied. These shoes are great, I love them! I particularly like that you get some padding under the balls of your feet because I also tumble and like to include acrobatics in my routines. Tumbling barefoot on wood or marley floors can be a bit painful sometimes, so these shoes are definitely appreciated.

MomH06/07/2011 Florida,NOT GOOD!
Nice shoe but not made for any type of turning. We have gone through 3 pairs. After 1 practice each time holes were made in the bottom. NOT for serious dancers doing any type of turn work. Try the canvas. They hold up better.

Donna 12/05/2016 Mcdonough-ga What size would I get?
I am trying to purchase the modern/lyrical shoe for my daughter who wears a size 33 1/2 in regular shoes. What size would I order for her? I see the girls goes to a 2the adult starts at a 3.

concerneddancemom 01/28/2015 Arizona Age: 45 to 54 What size should I order for an adult size 10 with wide feet?
My daughter is 15 and wears an adult size 10. However, she does have a wide foot. She dances about 9 hours a week in addition to solo work. She has worn everything from footundeez, jazz, ballet, tap, Irish gilles, pointe and lyrical shoes. Her favorite are the lyrical shoe with the strap. I've read every review on every lyrical shoe and have narrowed my choice to this shoe. I just don't know if I should order a 9 or 10. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
These shoes do run large. For a comfortable fit, go down two sizes from street shoe. For a snug fit, go down three sizes from street shoe. - DDS Customer Service (01/28/2015)

Emilia 10/10/2013 Oregon, Usa Age: 17 or under What would you say the comfort level is on this product?
They are meant to just give a little more padding between the floor and your feet. Comfort wise, they would feel like ballet slippers. - DDS Customer Service (10/15/2013)
My daughter and her team mates found the back elastic to be much less irritating than the capezio shoe equivalent. They have enough padding to help with landings. - Dancemomashley (01/21/2014)
My daughter states that they are very comfortable. She prefers them over most of her other shoes - Dancersmom12 (05/19/2014)
