I got this because I wanted the try the leather hanamis since I wear the canvas hanamis. I prefer the bloch odette leather split sole instead. I don't like the way the leather hanami feels gripping my foot. I wear a size 6 so I have to size up to a 8.5 in these.

MY FAVORITE SHOES
I love these! My last pair I had for a full year, I take classes twice a week and when I retired my last pair they were still in pretty good shape. I highly recommend these.

PERFECT PRACTICE SLIPPERS
Adult ballet dancer here. For barre they're great for reducing traction and perfect for agility during center. Leather will last a bit longer than canvas and durability is important for a practical, economical slipper choice. Split sole design flatters my arches, which otherwise aren't super pronounced. They run a full size smaller than street size, so recommend sizing up.

GOOD QUALITY. VERY COMFORTABLE.
My daughter is 8 years old and wears a size 2 in kids sizing. We switched over to a women's size because we needed a split sole leather ballet shoe. I ordered a 3.5C and should have ordered a size 4 like the chart has because the 3.5 was a just a tad too tight. The charts online are extremely confusing and it feels like every site gives you a different answer on how to order when transitioning from child to adult. I'll have to return these and get a size 4. On a side note, I also ordered a size 4 in a Women's Bloch ballet shoe like the chart said to and it was 2 sizes too big! Unfortunately I'm finding out the hard way that different brands have completely different sizing and the charts are not always accurate. In this particular case, it seems like the chart is correct and you need to order a women's size 4 for a size 2 child...
Anyways, these seemed to be great quality and very comfortable. My daughter is looking forward to getting the right size!

BEAUTIFUL AND COMFORTABLE LEATHER BALLET SHOE
I have been in and out of ballet since I was young. I decided to take it back up as an adult a few weeks ago. My Bloch pro-elastics I used to wear in college are too small now (my feet have gotten bigger since I've gained some weight) so I decided to go to my local dance retailer to get fitted. I am an 8-8.5 in street shoes and have a fairly wide foot. Strangely enough, the 10.5W is what I ended up being fitted for. So I would say size up a good bit more than you expect. I will say I absolutely love these shoes! They make me feel beautiful and graceful with their leather uppers and that gorgeous neoprene arch. I'm working towards going en pointe this time around so I'm paying particular attention to my arch. I love how these shoes highlight my foot. The leather is buttery soft and so pretty. I can also tell they will be quite durable! One other comment I will make is that since they are leather, they don't breathe quite as well as a canvas slipper, but I kinda love how warm they keep my feet. Long story short I would highly recommend this stunning shoe!
