It is confusing that these are called Jr and Extra Large. They are actually a regular for size 7 shoe. My Daughters have worn these for quite the many sizes. I think from five and a half Capezio Pointe shoes up to Size 8 Ava now. These are the special ones that can be discerned from their sister, the other gets the melon color, and friends. A little zippy color and most importantly Protects their toes from the dive into the pointe shoe. These are one of the best pair of toe pads. I have been buying these for years and they last very long, probably should replace them sooner than I do. They are only thrown away from stink or loss and not from falling apart. Easy care in the laundry.

THE ONLY PADS I USE
These are my favorite pads of all time. Even though I have a sixe 10 foot, they fit perfectly. The ouch pouch is very thin, but provides comfort and the ability to feel the floor. Many people complain about the seam, but I found it comfortable and actually providing a teeny tiny bit of padding.Your pointe shoes fit tight and correctly. Overall I love thes, and recommend them for everyone!!!

LAST AND LAST!
I wore these pads for about two and a half year with out a thought of replacing. The gel says consistently spread out, they don't stretch out or change shape, and they are pretty comfortable. These toe pads are cut perfectly so that they cover and blisters on the side of your feet but don't poke out of your point shoes. They are pretty thin (one layer of thick-ish gel between fabric), and provide a good amount of cozy padding without bulking up a shoe. I wouldn't wear much extra padding with these, maybe some toe tape in problem ares, but never any extra gel, especially for newer point students. I finally ended up switching because these got too sweat stained. Now I use Bunhead's Gellows, which are definitely thicker, and better for more experienced dancers.

PERFECTLY THIN WITH ENOUGH COVERAGE
These are by far my favorite toe pads and were also the first toe pads I used. The Ouch Pouch Jr. is fabulous because it is thin enough for you to feel the floor but still keeps your feet protected without extra bulk. These toe pads protect your bunion area (which is extremely important to me!) and also help protect your toe nails. Using these, I never get bruised toenails (although they do get sore, but that is inevitable!) but when I try different toe pads, such as Gellows or thick gel ones, I get bruised toe nails immediately. With these, I do get blisters but I have fixed that problem by using an Anti-Friction Blister stick which works like magic. I also like these toe pads because they slowly become formed to your feet and thinner in some areas, which I believe helps me toughen up my feet. I enjoy that they become thinner, but others may not! On the durability, I have my current pair for about a year and the seam is beginning to come apart, revealing the thin gel inside. This however, does not impede my dancing and I still do not need a new pair. Some others have had problem with the smell, however I find that if I allow them to air dry in the open and wash them every few months, they are fine. I truly recommend these to beginners through advanced students/professionals--they truly are phenomenal!

EXCELLENT!
These are my favorite pads, they cover enough of the feet to prevent most blisters, and they compress over time, so you can get used to thinner pads, and eventually transition. Though, they hold sweat and foot stink BADLY. wash them every 5-7 classes (at least) and that should help. I usually hand wash them in the sink, with some laundry detergent (though I've heard some people say they've done this and it makes them sticky, this hasn't happened to me, so just rinse it out well). Then I take a brush (or tooth brush) and scrub the heck out of them!!

Maddy11/11/2011 Texas,
A MUST HAVE.
I love these toe pads. I used to buy the original nude ones, but decided to try color. At first I was afraid they would peak out and you would be able to see them, but they don't. Compared to the original nude ones these have slightly more cushion and hug my foot a lot better, plus this purple and pink color is really cute. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a toe pad that is light and roomy in your pointe shoe.

HAshley 07/30/2013 Age: 17 or under sizing
I heard that the jr. size has less padding and is for wider feet... The jr. small is 1-6 and the jr. large is 7-10, but are these pointe shoe sizes or regular street shoe? I wear a regular shoes size 7 1/2 and a pointe shoe size 5. My feet are a little wide, should I go with jr. large or jr. small?
Thanks!
The ouch pouches are sized by street shoe. Since pointe shoes have all different fits it allows a more uniform sizing. - DDS Customer Service (08/01/2013)
Hello! I am a street size 7.5 and pointe shoe size 38 (Russian Pointe). I also have a bit wider than average feet.
I went with a large Ouch Pouch Jr., which fit perfectly.
Hope this helps! - Lib40 (06/09/2014)
