09/09/2015My grand daughter is wearing the actual pair of these pads that my daughter wore! They are about 15 years old and still work well. After my youngest daughter went to college and stopped taking dance classes I put away her shoes and dance supplies. Now my grand daughter is wearing her leos, and these toe pads. I think they were worth buying.

06/19/2015I have had a single pair of these toe pads for years and they still hold true. They are not too thick, do not need to be cut, do not tear, and provide perfect coverage of my toes and fit invisibly and comfortably inside my shoes. (I also like to put a cotton ball size of wool in the toes of my shoes.)
I have tried several different types of silicone toe pads over the years and disliked each and every one of them. They were either too thick making them very difficult to get my feet in my shoes, provided too much or too litte coverage, sticky and difficult to keep clean, or they tore holes in the toes.

09/06/2014I literally love these toe pads. They provide awesome coverage and don't show out from under the pointe shoe. I strongly recommend these for pointe shoes.

05/30/2014These make my pointe shoes super tight, but cover the balls of my feet which is super comfortable.

02/18/2014i love these toe pads they last you forever since you can rewash them. If your thinking about getting a cheaper toe pad since $21 is expensive for a toe pad, don't, get these you will love them!!!!

02/10/2014These are probably my favorite toe pads. They are thin enough to still feel the floor, but still protect my feet from rubbing too much. I've never had one fall apart. I always end up replacing them because they get dirty and stinky, or I lose one, long before they begin to fall apart. I can be on pointe for several hours and they hold up great. They are more breathable than the gel ones.

02/27/2013These toe pads are better than Gellows but mediocre. I tried these on and they were very smooth and seemed thick enough to protect my foot but still thin enough to be comfortable. However, I imagine that they must get dirty easily and if left unwashed could get pretty gross.

10/07/2012I got these with my first pair of pointe shoes and found them to be a little too thin

11/28/2009I recently switched to Ouch Pouches. I had been wearing Leo's Pink Gel Pads for about 4 years and although I thought that they were great at first, by this fall I had had enough. Now I have been wearing Ouch Pouches for close to a semester and I love them! They have a thin layer of gel that is barely noticeable encased in a fabric pouch. They let my feet breathe, provide just enough cushion to keep my feet from getting beat up, and allow me to feel the floor. So far, I don't have any complaints! :)

07/11/2009I was told to get these by my ballet teacher, and I'm not happy with them. I wear a 4.5 XXX in Grishko 2007 style shoe (relatively small and narrow), and these stick out of the top of the box, and don't provide much coverage. I'm going to try the new Sansha toe pads next, hopefully I get better results.

Grants Pass Or,I used these and they gave me soft corns on the inside of my foot right behind the big toe joint... I wouldn't recommend them for beginners because the thick seam really rubs against your foot.

04/15/2008I think they are alright. I have only been on pointe for a couple of months and I like how you can feel the floor in them. But they don't seem to give that much comfort. I am now looking for something different. But who knows, maybe it will turn out I end up liking them the best.

Iowa,I think these are the best toe pads ever. They provide enough cushion and protection to your feet, but they aren't bulky at all. You can also feel the floor through these. I would recommend these to anyone!

12/04/2007These are great! Total comfort and not at all bulky. I have just purchased a second pair- my first pair lasted years. These are the easiest, most comfortable and well fitting toe pads I've found- period.

Southern Cali,I have had these since I started pointe in June of 2006! I haven't ever gotten new ones. I tried lambswool pads too, to see if I liked them because my sister was using them but they were awful! I stuck with these and I don't think that I will ever use another kind!

California,I didn't like these toe pads. I am not even on pointe, I have pre-pointe shoes and these didn't feel cushiony at all. They were great for the first two weeks, then they started wearing down, and they became flat. I don't recommend.

Oregon,I like these toe pads alot. I started with lambs wool, but switched to these after about a year. These are comfortable, and they offer enough gel to cushion and support the feet without spoiling your feet. I don't have a problem with them smelling, although I've had them for about a year and a half. In all that time, they are still as good as new, the fabric hasn't ripped, and the gel hasn't bunched up like other toe pads. I love Ouch Pouches!

Mountain View, California,Girls, these things are fabric-covered. Fabric pulls sweat away, but stored it next to something unbreathable: the gel. This is prime breeding ground for bacteria. After class, turn them inside out, and every few classes, wash them with an antibacterial soap and air dry. This isn't a product defect, but father proper care. When your feet come out of shoes, be them pointe or jazz or whatever, the whole shoe remains open enough to air out. And we even take special care to dry out our shoes. But these gels become flat, keep moisture trapped. Now I've used the same pair for a couple years and there have been no odors stuck on mine. It comes down to proper care. Lack of proper care can't be blamed on the company. I love my pouches, and can't imagine dancing without them. They're not thick, like the pink Leo's, and protect the top of my toes, which is the trouble spot for me. If you want more protection at the tip, I suggest cool ol' lambs wool, and then these pads. But I love them as-is.

08/23/2006They were great at padding your feet and I like how they are reversible. One HUGE downside to them is that they absorb your sweat and then they begin to smell putrid!!!

08/15/2006These are great for new girls on pointe who are learning how to feel the floor with their shoes. However, after a while they begin to smell. BADLY. And washing does not always help.
For the girls who have been on pointe intermediate- advanced, I suggest the pink Leo gel pads. NO smell there and NICE amount of padding to keep your feet alive in long, all day rehearsals.

Rl,I love Ouch Pouches. They're the only thing I use. They're thin, but provide enough comfort. I usually use some lambs wool with them as well.
Unfortunately, they do start to smell. I have to get new ones now because I'm not able to wash the horrible smell out. Other than that, I love Ouch Pouches and would recommend them to anyone!

Washington,They do reduce pain on pointe, but my toenails ripped through the gel. I also have sensitive feet so they were way too thick under my foot and made it uncomfy to stand in my shoes.

05/31/2006I have had these for almost a year now! They last a long time and I use them a lot! I highly recommend these toe pads!

Mountain View, Ca,Thin enough to feel the floor, thick enough to provide comfort! The seams really do flatten entirely, and it would be easy to forget they're there if not for how comfortable they make dancing!
