Lyndonville,VTThese are great for giving just a little bit more padding!!! I especially enjoy them when dancing in the nutcracker snow scene as my school’s versions has LOTS of quick piques that sometimes make me feel like my toenails are about to fall off

04/26/2017Very comfortable until they rip while you are in the middle of class and you can't stop to take off your pointe shoes to change them out. I wore them only three times before the first rip. Super pricey considering their lack of durability. Very disappointed.

Moorpark,CALet me start by saying they are indeed VERY comfortable. If you need protection on a walk, they are great. They are intended for ballet and pointe specifically and unfortunately they do not last. We bought ten boxes and the first two boxes lasted maybe one ballet class for an hour and a half and one pointe class for 45 minutes. The problem is, if you are depending on them for blister protection in a pointe shoe, they will fail you. Both split during class and as a result my daughter ended up with VERY nasty blisters since she couldn't very well stop during the middle of class and replace them. I do not recommend them for pointe protection.

04/20/2014I bought this because I've been getting blister-like rubbing-spots on my pinky toes and have been using lambs wool & New Skin (works surprisingly well!) up to this point. I thought I could use these on my pinkies under my pointe shoes. When I received them, however, I realized that they are much longer & a bit bigger than expected. They fit perfectly on my big toe so that is what I use them for now, but they're pretty long for my pinkies & folding them back over themselves is kinda uncomfortable. I am considering cutting them down to size and I am 99% sure that will work, but just worried because they weren't cheap for 2 pieces of gel, but I think I will because it seems like it will really help. These are definitely worth it!!! Just consider size!

02/01/2014I'll have to write on durability later, but these fit perfectly and are so comfortable. They stretch way out to get them on properly then tighten to mold to your toes perfectly. Much better than other inferior products on the market sold to the general public (of which I am) vs. these marketed to dancers. So glad I found them thanks to a good web search.

11/01/2013I'm an avid hiker with some seriously damaged toes. These toe gel covers provide great protection without knowing you are wearing them. Saved miles of agony on a multi day hiking trip.

09/10/2013My 4th toes always get bruised, get blisters... and all that. The same problem happened when I did ballroom (international latin). I think it's more about the shape of my feet. Anyways, my 4th toes were suffering again with pointe shoes. I started using these, and they are amazing. They do make my life so much better. Definitely recommend these! :)

08/01/2012I suppose with this type of product, whether you like it or not depends on how you like your pointe shoes to feel. I love to wear these on my pinky toes when I go en pointe because they gently cushion my lister corns. The corns are so irritating and uncomfortable! I've read that if you have these corns then you aren't supposed to wear shoes like pointe shoes, or else they'll continue hurting. Well, that's not an option in the ballet world so after a long search, I found these and have been wearing them for 2 years! I don't think it matters, but if you were wondering I have the Greek foot shape (second toe is longer than big toe and other toes form a slanted line) with naturally high arches.

Ohio,Thanks to my very tapered Egyptian feet, I'm always looking for new and better padding for my poor big toes. This was not it. The gel felt ridiculously thick, though it compressed to be too thin on impact. It didn't take up much space in the shoe, which is good, but it offered no lasting protection either. They tore after 2 uses (and my toenails weren't long or ragged either). If you just want padding for your big toes, try Bunheads Big Tips instead. Don't waste your money on these.
