Way too narrow, especially for a wide. I swear they were more narrow than the regular sized ones

I originally went to the closest Dancewear shop from us two measure my four year old daughter for Jazz shoes as she'll be taking those classes along with Ballet this coming fall. While in the store, she tried on four different pairs of shoes where each one was either too big, too narrow or too small. The associate recommended ordering from Discount Dance because my daughter has wide feet and her size is right in the little kid/big kid cusp. With the size provided, I was able to successfully get the shoes my daughter needed - one pair in black the other in tan. Additionally, I was very surprised and pleased with how quickly they arrived. Now my daughter is VERY excited to wear them in class on September 5th!!!!!!

we rec'd the jazz shoes (very quick shipping i may add!). i saw on other reviews that the shoes ran small, but we had tried on a few pairs in a store and they didn't run 2.5 sizes smaller like some other reviews had mentioned (on my daughter). My daughter's foot is very small and narrow. We ordered 1.5 sizes larger just to be safe (she wears a 10 and we ordered an 11.5). they fit and actually were a little big, but she has a little growing room so that's good. they dont ride up and she says they are comfortable, so that's a plus. I am happy so far. They appear to be well made but we have only had them for a week now. We saved about 25% ordering here vs going into the store and buying retail. I am a happy customer :)

The sizing said to order your child's shoe size. My daughter takes a 1 so I ordered a 1and1/2 for room to grow.. Way too small!. Her toe was tight in the end of the jazz shoe. If I were to re-order, i would order a a size to a size and a half size bigger. Bugs me that I have to pay return shipping for shoes that are NOT sized correctly!

My daughter is 11.5 in normal shoes. I ordered 11.5M and they fit her right on the dot, which is considered too small. I am getting a refund but I did re-order for a bigger size (13W) because I did like the jazz shoes.

This review is a little preliminary as we haven't started jazz classes yet, but I needed a lace-free jazz shoe for my narrow-footed dancer. The local stores didn't have any that fit her width, and I couldn't find a reasonably priced narrow shoe! But I ordered a pair of these in her normal street size, and the length and width are perfect. The standard size is definitely a good shoe if your dancer has narrow feet, but if they are average to borderline-wide feet, I would recommend either the wide width or a different style shoe.

It has a very plastic feel but it's just fine for the beginner. Capezio is a trusted brand. My daughter wears a 12.5 street shoe so I ordered a 13. It's a whole size too small. We will order another pair in a larger size and also going to try the wide instead of the M. This size looks on the narrow side.

How do these RUN? Big? Small? if so how big or how small?

According to Capezio, this shoe runs true to size.

They run small. Order a size to a size and 1/2 bigger! - Buggydancemom (02/17/2014)

i heard they ran small, so we ordered 1.5 sizes larger (instead of the 2.5 that was told on some of the other reviews) and they are a little big, but not to where she cant wear the shoes. she has a little growing room and that's a plus for me. my daughter wears a 10 and has a narrow foot so we ordered an 11.5. i tried to guess to where i didnt have to do a return. i'm glad i didn't order 2.5 sizes up or we wouldve been doing a return. hope this helps! - Madsmom (04/03/2014)
