After figuring out the zipper this unitard fits great. Like another review, a larger size makes zipping up easier. The neck is a little tight around the front. Overall the unitard is well made. The suntan is more of a gold color but looks great. I will be using it more to run errands than to dance.

I am 5'7" and 145 lb; I ordered both the M and the L and ended up choosing the size L. The unitard is a bit small in the girth and does not have much room in the butt. Even the L feels a bit tight in that dimension. The weak point is clearly the zipper, which is why I went with the larger size. I was a little disappointed that the fabric is so shiny, but it was the only unitard I could find in green with the mock neck style, which I needed for a costume. Overall, it's fine.

I got an XL in white because I am going to use it for a CATS cosplay. The white is very see-through and I am going to have to paint it white again in the area's that I need white because of this. The fit is okay but bending over it has a odd fit. Doesn't stretch that well. I already found a hole in it and I haven't even worn it, just tried it on. It looks easy to sow so I'm not going to send it back and wait for another one. Other then these little problems it is good.

A great base for costumes. We purchased these unitards with the hoods for Easter. They created the perfect base for animal costumes. The older kids didn't complain about feeling restricted, but actually found the nylon quite comfy. As a person who costumes quite frequently, the material held on the appliques and fabric without ripping, and the nylon made them easy to move in. I'd highly reccomend for anyone looking for a body suit or wanting to build a costume!

I've owned many of these unitards in my years dancing and making costumes. Usually I use white or charcoal as a base for CATS the musical costumes for myself or others, but I have used a couple for regular dance performances. I think the unitards are extremely comfortable, easy to care for (wash and go), and easily altered. They take paint very well, dye is trick since they're a synthetic blend you have to go with an acid dye like Jacquard or Dylon or iDye Poly. I have sewn and glued things onto them numerous times and never had an issue with running. Be careful heat setting, they WILL melt unless you use a lower temperature iron and a press cloth. I've never had any issues with fit or wonky zippers. That is mostly attributed to people not measuring themselves correctly. In response to the stirrup thing, you CAN sew on your own stirrup if you wish. For me, because I'm short I can actually tuck the bottom portion of the leg into my jazz shoe. I put elastic loops on the sleeves that go around my thumbs. Simple sewing that will take 5 minutes. Great unitard, great fabric, never had a problem, and highly recommended!

Used for competition wear! Was able to attach rhinestones and adhesive fabric glue with ease! Very comfortable and extremely stylish!!!

Bought it because it said the white was dyable. Took 5 days in a dye vat and it got grey enough, so consider the type of dye you use and this warning if you want to dye the unitard to a bright color. It fit decently. I'm pretty tall, so the lengths could have been an inch longer on the sleeves, legs and torso, but that's cuz I am 5'8" and wanted a smaller size to be more form fitting. The "I can see every bump under it" issue occurs with every lycra item, so I just wore a liner under it and it was fine. Used it for over 8 shows and it shows only slight wear where my other equipment rubbed against it. I'd buy it again.

I got this for a theater performance where the lead actor had to play a superhero. He was worried about it but once he got into it he didn't feel bad at all. It will keep you warm, and will wick the sweat off of you. It held up to over 30 performances doing tumbling and fight stunts. Just remember, when in doubt of size go bigger it will make you feel more secure.

This is a great unitard. I've got a Capezio which is the same size (Large) and the Capezio is baggy in the arms and legs. This Bal Togs unitard fits perfectly. I love the feel and the fit. I ordered this in white not realizing there was a bra liner, but it's not uncomfortable. It's just not needed. The white is a bit see-thru, but I'm not wearing this in front of people. I am 5'11" and 185lbs. The large fits great. I'll get another one of these down the road in a different color. I basically use this as pajamas or under my clothes to keep me warm.

Amazing product, I used it for a costume. It takes paint well that is made for spandex and it's not very hot even with another layer underneath. Just don't buy a smaller size than you need and you'll be fine with the zipper holding up.

I'm a guy and needed a unitard for my costume. I was 6'2 and 200-ish pounds and the XL fit perfectly! The stretch was comfortable and the look of it while it was on turned heads. I did wear shorts because the middle section fits about as tightly as the rest of the unitard and it showed everything, but I assume some type of undergarment would help conceal this if your needs required you not to cover your body with anything but the unitard. But overall, was perfect for my needs and the overall shipping and being on time was perfect. Great company, Great Product.

I bought this item for cosplay use and it is still going strong. Amazingly comfortable, breathable, this is a great buy if you need a great unitard. The only issue is really that the white is a tad bit see-though, but with an undergarment it's fine. I would reccomend this to anyone!

I bought one to run in, in the winter time. It's breathable and very comfortable. I bought the blue one. I may get another one this coming winter. Very nice.

This unitard was of very high quality. The fabric had lots of stretch and support and fit perfectly! The fabric was not too thin--as an adult, I was able to wear the suntan unitard onstage with a separate nude liner. It looked great, moved great, and felt great!

I am planning on costuming CATS and am looking for a sturdy opaque unitard for Victoria (white cat). I am not opposed to a sturdy shiny knit. Thank you for the advice of acid-based dyes for this fabric. Looks as though this unitard has been good for CATS. Thanks for any feedback on liners.

This unitard in white has shelf lining. For additional coverage and support, we have the Natalie Seamless Camisole Undergarment Leotard (item # N234), the Capezio Adult Camisole Undergarment (item # 3532), Capezio Seamless Camisole Undergarment (item # 3680), and the QT Intimates "Shaparee" Move Free Camisole Padded Body Liner (item # 356). Depending on the individual?s needs, all of these undergarments work well with this unitard.

I am purchasing a suntan colored unitard for my daughter, who is playing Pinnochio in Shrek. My thought is to paint woodgrain on the unitard arms and legs to make her look like a wooden toy. Any suggestions on what type of paint to use? Or would fabric markers be a better way to go? Any thoughts would be appreciated!!!

I would not suggest painting on this unitard. Normally, we suggest dying a cotton leotard (this is a nylon blend) but I cannot be certain that you would achieve the visual you are looking for.

Unfortunately we do not have a full body of the picture. The color swatch for the purple is shown here though > http://baltogs.com/images/colors/matte_nylon_lycra/purple.jpg. It is a very true deep purple color.

This unitard will reflect a slight sheen. Unfortunately there is no hook or piece where you could attach stirrups.

It has a slight sheen but is definitely not "sparkly." You can attach your own stirrups, but the legs are footless so there is a turned over seam at the bottom. I'm short enough 5'3'' (with a long torso so I wear a L) that I can tuck the bottom of the leg into my jazz shoes. - Luna (08/30/2013)
