I will never go back! After having some capezio tights that were SO tight around the waist, I bought these and love them! I normally wear medium dance wear, size small was perfect. The theatrical pink matches my ballet class and slippers better, so listen to the other reviews and get theatrical pink! I usually wear size 4 pants.

My daughter loves how soft these tights feel. She prefers the sewn on band style. The ballet pink appears a bit darker than some other brands but once she put them on, they match her (Bloch) pointe shoes perfectly. This time we ordered the Theatrical Pink just to compare. They are a bit brighter once on. We like the Theatrical Pink, but we will stick with the Ballet Pink since they best match the shoes.

My daughter loves these tights. We have tried them all and she loves how these feel. The hole under her foot is reinforced so it doesn't tear or fray as easily as other brands. She does 6 hours of ballet a week and they hold up great!

I've been wearing these tights for about five years now, and I still haven't found another brand I like better! 1. They're very stretchy! my eleven year old sister wears the same size as me. 2. They're very durable! They last me about six months to a year. And 3. They're pretty comfortable! My only complaint is that when I wear them rolled up for a long period of time, they leave a little line on my leg (but I've found a lot of other brands do as well)

My daughter LOVES these tights and will wear no other brand! If you are using them in traditional Ballet, order the THEATRICAL pink - not Ballet pink -- since ironically the Theatrical pink is the lighter traditional shade for class and performances. The Ballet pink is much brighter and not what any of her teachers have wanted her to wear. The only negative about these is that our last batch -- we ordered a dozen for the summer intensives -- seemed flawed. The comfy hole in the bottom that allows for transition to footless began to unravel after wearing a few times. We have just ordered more for the fall and believe these are better sewn around the holes, back to the quality we enjoyed when we first started ordering them. It must have just been a bad batch.

Dancethrulife07/31/2015OPENING NOT TRUE TO BODY WRAPPERS STANDARD
Body Wrappers is my favorite tights brand. I usually get mine at a dance clothing store, but decided to grab a couple pairs from Discount Dance since I was buying a bunch of other stuff. I was very disappointed when I received these tights (ordered in both pink and black), they are not like my other Body Wrappers. There is less than an inch between the convertible opening and the toe, so when wearing, the opening is not comfortably underfoot, it's right at the balls of your feet. Who wants seams right there? Also, the toes are not reinforced. Again, I have purchased and worn this brand/style for years, so not quite sure what's wrong with the ones being sold here.

Dancernonymous06/03/2015COMFORTABLE, BUT THE QUALITY IS QUESTION
I heard many good things about these tights, so I decided to give them a try. Imagine my horror when I discovered a small tear/ hole right where your foot is supposed to come through. What was worse was that it turned out not to be a small tear, but a large run, and I discovered a similar one on the other side!
Nevertheless, I tried it on, and I must say that the waistband is really comfortable, and the material feels nice and soft on the skin. The colour is also closer to white (which I like, so that is not an issue for me).. Could it be possible that I got stock from an older batch? Not sure, but I just know that I was expecting a lot more. It is quite a disappointment, considering it is one of the pricier tights out there.

ThePhantomIzzy12/28/2014FEEL LIKE A TSHIRT!
The company I perform alongside for Nutcracker had everyone in the production wearing these tights. At first I was skeptical to wear them for three weeks, due to a poor experience with Body Wrappers previously, but once I slipped them on I didn't want to take them off! These tights are even softer than Capezios, and the waistband is softer and less constricting. We immediately dubbed these "tshirt tights" and I love them so much. The one flaw I've found is that they snag fairly easily, which is a downside that Capezio doesn't have. The convertible opening is also different, but you get used to it, although uncomfortable at first. The toes are also reinforced, which is something I had to learn to ignore. I would definitely recommend these to anyone open to trying new tights.

TallBallerina09/06/2014BEST TIGHTS EVER!
I have been getting Body Wrappers tights basically ever since I started dance, and I rarely use any others! I'm 5'8", 95-100 lbs and get the small/medium. After all these years of buying these tights, I have only ever ripped them once. They are very easy to convert and I never have to move the hole around to convert them. They are also very comfortable, and I have gotten them in nude and ballet pink. The pink is a proper light pink, almost white, and the nude is dark, yet not too dark.

BAPAdancer08/12/2014COMFORTABLE TRANSITION TIGHTS
I love these tights because the transition opening is so comfortable! It is stretchy knit, so it rolls up comfortably all the way up to my knee, but the opening still lies flat under my foot when I have them rolled down. Capezio has some tights with knit openings which I used for a while, but the extra fabric bunched up under my foot and was uncomfortable. These tights do run easily, however. Still, the runs I got were small and unnoticeable, so I continued to wear them for class. I was nervous when I read that the waistband was elastic, since I have issues with them cutting into my waist, but I find this waistband to be pretty comfortable.

i love my bodywrappers! the waistband isn't too snug and doesn't make a little 'bump' under my leotard like some other brands do. they're comfortable and durable, i've been rotating 3 pairs for the past few years and none of them have runs in them. My only problem is the color, they can either be a soft baby pink w a grey tint or a nudish pink. when i wear them they look like practical pink tights so it's not too much of a big deal.

Student1234503/18/2014AWESOME TIGHTS!
I am 5'3" and I weigh 115 pounds
I wear a size S/M Adult
I love these tights so much! They are so soft and I absolutely love wearing them. They are a very affordable price and they last quite long. I love that they have a convertible foot that actually is stretchy (some tights you almost rip them because they are so tight). The waist band is high quality and fits nicely. I would have given them 5 stars, but there are some faults with these wonderful tights. They get extremely stained really fast, especially if your studio has wood sprung floors and you use rosin on a daily basis. And I have gotten a few pairs that get a run in them almost immediately, which is annoying. Overall, I love these tights and I would recommend them to anyone!

ILOVELEOTARDS01/14/2014A LITTLE UNCOMFORTABLE
These tights are said to be the high quality and that I cannot deny. They are a great price, come in lovely colours, and are all-around a very long-lasting pair of tights. Like all Bodywrappers tights, the waistband comes up quite high and is also very snug. I have to wear these for performances and tend to only wear them for performances because the waistband is so tight. I have tried cutting the waistband but it frayed pretty badly and was still tight, plus it showed through my leotard. I also find the toe a little uncomfortable, not loose enough to allow the toes wiggle room. Now down to the sizing, I wear of course the XL (I always get my tights large) I am 5.9 and 120lb... so technically they should not be so tight! When I order these again I will order in Plus Sized (I think they have them in 4XL (A31X)). One more thing, the hole in the bottom does not roll very far up your leg because it is so small, so don't plan on it.

pointedancer507/23/2013GOOD POINTE TIGHTS
I got these because my pointe fitter recommended them and I would highly recommend them too. I am a beginner pointe student and for me they hugged the toe pads nicely, plus they were easy to wiggle my toes around in when I just had ballet slippers on. The only things I would say are that the pink is brighter than average ballet pink and the waist band came up just below my bust line. But they are great for starting out pointe training and I will continue to buy these as I progress in my craft.

I've tried capezio and natalie... Capezio is ok quality, but about the same price as this. Natalie has a great price tag, but doesn't last very long.
This tights are so durable and breathable, and don't restrain me in class. The convertable toe is just so much cleaner looking down or rolled up. My only complaint is the waist band is a bit too high on me. Although it could be i got a size up since i was on the edge of the size chart.
I will be buying more of these :)

Paulinha06/16/2013I LOVE THEM!
The sizing runs slightly larger, but that is good because it allows comfort. These tights are great. They are so comfortable. The waistband doesn't cut into your waist like Capezio's do. They are really soft and aren't too transparent or solid. They are the perfect opaque. I've only had them for a little bit so I can't comment on durability. So far, so good.

I have them in ballet pink. It looks like a very bright pink, but once I put them on they look much paler. I looooove the convertible foot on these. The foot hole is great. The doubled edge is strong, won't slip, and hasn't ripped. I wear and handwash them once a week, and not a single run, rip, or hole yet after nearly 5 months. They still look pretty much brand new aside from a bit of dirt around the feet. I went one size up from what the chart recommended, so they're a bit long. My fault though, I thought I was 10 pounds heavier than I actually am.....oops haha. The waistband is very comfortable, never squeezes or digs. It also folds down pretty well when I wear an open-back leotard. Good, durable tights. Super soft and stretchy too.

FPBSballerina1811/20/2012SOFT :P
These tights are required for my entire ballet studio...they're very pretty, but also there is a difference between both of the pink colors of this brand of tights , theatrical and ballet pink , now if you want a really bright pink order ballet pink , but if you're looking for an offset sort of classical ballet pink order teatrical pink.....bc the colors are very different my mom odered ballet pink and theatrical pink and there is a noticeable difference.....but i honsetly like the brighter pink better :D......bc the other one is too white looking for me :) ....I'll attach a picture to show the difference....overall very good tights :D
This is the first time I get this product and it was highly recommended by instructors I'm not sure why, they are stretchy enough but not the best, the waist band rolls up, But this is fine if you don't like being in very tight clothes, I will use them for rehearsal but I don't think they'll be comfortable enough for a recital, I liked it that the Gusset is the same color and not white is good to wear on a tutu, My greatest discomfort is the "improved stitching at the convertible opening to minimize runs", it is way too tick and absolutely the worst to wear on Pointe, I wouldn't know about durability since I recently got them, but so far not the best!

Busy11/07/2012STRAIGHT INTO THE GARBAGE CAN
I'm 5'7.5". I weigh 120 lbs. I do not have long legs. (About even ratio - not your stereotypical "Balanchine" dancer body type.) I should have been able to fit in the large. They don't run small. They don't run large. They run bizarre. The elastic waistband went up to my shoulders, yet the crotch was below where it should have been (namely, at my crotch), and there was no "stretch" per se in the east-west direction. Rough fabrication besides that. I tried to turn it into a cat toy and even the cats had enough sense to not want to have anything to do with it. Skip these unless you are super tall, with super short legs, and don't actually dance and have a need for tights that move with you.

These tights are so durable. One of my daughters dances 6-8 hours a week and I buy her a few pairs of these at the beginning of the year and that does it. She has been known to throw these tights in the washing machine in the same cycle with jeans, and they STILL hold up amazingly well. My only complaint is that in the child's version, the size ranges are a little big, so it's hard to get a good fit when a child is right on the edge between sizes. But otherwise, these are the perfect tights.

These tights are the softest, stretchiest, most comfortable ever! I got them for a performance last year. They lasted from May-October. After while the foot hole starts to tear, and the toe part starts to rip (keep your toenails clipped).

ABTdancer04/15/2012BEST TIGHTS I'VE FOUND!!!
These tights are amazing!!!! The waistband doesn't create any lumps or bulges and they are soft and fairly durable. One thing, If you are looking for tights for a ballet class get the color theatrical pink, NOT BALLET PINK. Ballet pink is an orange/tan-ish color that does not go well with anything. Overall, I adore these tights. They are long enough for my really long legs and wash well without fading or losing their elasticity in the waste. I have been using these for the past two years in my professional career and would recommend them to anyone!!

I first bought these tights in a rush when an old pair ripped before a performance but after I wore them once I refused to wear anything else. They're extremely comfortable and breathable, with a great look. They have a reinforced toe which I'm in love with, and the waistband is the most comfortable one I've ever worn. Also the run guard works amazingly although they will snag if you're not careful with them. Being picky about tights, these are perfect. The waistband is so comfy and does not create any lumps or folds whatsoever. The hole in the foot is unusual but nearly undetectable once in a shoe. I used to love these tights, but now they are a different material and I can't stand them! The same size is now too short because they aren't stretchy, so the crotch is too low, but if you pull them up they crunch your toes. They rip so much easier and are hard to move in.

I had to get these for a performance. I liked the fact that it was not actually stitched across the foot opening. They were comfortable but the crotch went really low. I constantly have to pull it up in dance, trust me not very attractive. I have bigger legs but I have the same size in other tights and I don't have this problem. These tights are great. They are not too pink, and the material is very soft. The waistband is perfect, not too tight or too lose. I always wear these for class. After a few wears, the color fades to a duller pink, but it still looks and feels great. The convertible part is easy to get on and off (perfect for putting on pointe pads). The convertible part tends to be the spot most likely to run. I had one pair that lasted almost a year, and it was only two weeks ago that the convertible started to run and a run near the crotch. So these tights are great. If you take care of them, they will last a lot longer. Also, you can repair minor runs near the feet with clear nail polish and they will last for about a month or so. I definitely recommend these tights!!!

These are THE BEST ballet tights on the market. It's a great shade of pink, they're very soft, the seamless toes are comfortable, the waistband is perfect, they stand the test of time! Yes, they do run, but in my experience, running is what tights do, and it's not a huge issue with these tights anyway. If you wash them and dry them properly, they last a really long time, and I've had pairs for years without runs! Bottom line - FAR superior to Capezio tights!

These are great for pointe because there is no seam in the toe. The foot does easily run, though.

lorraine 02/09/2019 Palos Heights-il I am trying to order the very light pink color. Which pink do I order?
This item is for my 10 year old grand-daughter. Tights can only be light pinkheeless. Or convertible heeless.
Thank you! Is Ballet Pink too dark?
We recommend contacting the child's dance studio to confirm the exact style/color that is needed. Most studios have a very specific dress code. If the studio has an assigned dress code with us, you may be able to find it under the students tab at the top of the page. - DDS Customer Service (02/15/2019)

Both colors are fine. - Balletdiva (01/12/2013)
Theatrical pink is traditionally more orangy-peach, so as to show up on the stage well. Ballet pink is usually more subdued, like the picture. - Iloveleotards (01/15/2014)
Ballet Pink is almost white, while Theatrical Pink is closer to the ballet pink most people think of - Student12345 (03/18/2014)
