My mother purchased a pair of these shoes 10 years ago for me. No BS. I am about to be 28 and my mom bought me these for my 17th birthday. I am JUST NOW having to replace them. These shoes have seen 10 years of me dancing professionally, teaching almost daily, performances on all kinds of surfaces. They still sound great! Never even had a screw fall out. After 10 years the only thing wrong is the rubber on the underside of the shoe below the toe tap is starting to slightly lift, and that just started happening this month.
To say i am impressed is an understatement.
I asked my mother where she bought these shoes and she sent me to discount dance. I am so happy to see these exact shoes are still being made because i know they will last me another 10 years.
Buying 3 pairs right now just in case!!!

Lauren01/14/2022THEY RUN LARGE
It says to get a size bigger than your street shoe but I ended up needing a size smaller than my street shoe. The shoes are definitely tight but I'm hoping once I wear them for a while and break them in, they will get more comfortable.

Went off sizing street size for women add 1/2 size up. My daughter wears a 10 so I ordered a 10.5 they looked like Circus shoes! They are about 1.5-2 sizes too big.

liberty933101/25/2018FAVORITE TAP SHOES
I purchased these after my old Capezio lace-ups died, and I LOVE them! The arch is flexible enough to stand on the toes with straight knees, but still supportive. They don't sound tin-like, the way some cheaper shoes do, they sound quite nice. I also love that they're slip-on, which is incredible convenient for quick-changes.

name09/23/2015HOLDS UP WELL FOR INTERMEDIATE TAPPERS
This is our second pair of Bloch's slip-on Tap Flex shoes. The first pair lasted for over two years, until my daughter grew out of them. She tapped about 2 hours/week on average during that time. She now wears size 6.5 M; her street shoe ranges from 4-5 depending on brand. They do seem to stretch out a bit over time, which may have extended the time she could wear the last pair. My son has worn the lace-up version of these shoes for years and has also done well with them.

ChiBallerina09/07/2015THESE ARE GREAT!
From the minute I tried these on in the store, I loved them. They're split sole, so they don't need any breaking in. They smelled like fresh leather. They are so easy to put on, so they make quick changes so easy! So far, I have worn these on a marley floor, and on a regular stage floor, and they sound amazing on both. They hug your foot really nicely. These are so comfortable, I recommend them to any advanced tapper!

mcollett09/16/2014SIZE RECOMMENDATION IS CORRECT
Very nice shoe! I ordered 1/2 size larger than street shoe & it fix great. My daughter's only wore them once so I can't attest to durability & comfort but they look well made and have lots of cushion inside so I think they will be great. Very, very quick shipping! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

CDAREPRESENT11/02/2013OMG!! <3
Well I do not have these yet and all my classmates do but i am gonna get them. So, they have all told me i need this shoe because it s sooo comfortable and that it is so easy to put on. Also I have noticied the taps and they sound perfect, crystal clear, nice and loud and just perfect. Also, i had these 1-2 years ago and they were the best i've ever had it felt like i was walking on clouds (but not tooo soft). I found them on the webstie and i am def getting them when i get more money on my credit card. Also, for performances they look beautifull no lousy lases flopping around and soo easy for costume changes. Even my tap teachers have them!

Ruthie09/17/2013COMFORTABLE, DURABLE, & GOOD TAP SOUNDS.
I love the Bloch TapFlex slip-on tap shoes. I already had a pair of these shoes, that I had purchased several years ago, but my feet decided to grow. However, when I went to the store where I bought them before, they no longer carried that brand of tap shoe, so I picked one of the brands they carried; but after getting home, I decided that they just wouldn't do. The Bloch slip-on tap shoes seem to be made better, and I like everything about it..it's comfortable, durable, and has good tap sounds. And even more, it comes in narrow sizes to fit my feet. Love 'em!

ZoeBalletShoes05/26/2013AFFECTIVE DURING CLASS!
I LOVEEEEEEE these shoes, they are the best! Right now in class I'm using this brand of tap shoes called "Revolution Dancewear" and I can't wait to wear my Bloch taps again! Compared to them, Bloch makes them look like losers. The Bloch tap shoes make a cleaner, nicer sound than the other tap shoes! As I mentioned before I can't wait to get back in them again! I know, I know, most of you are like "they're TOO small, and I can't pointe my toe in them." I have to tell you, I was like that too. But, they have to brake in, and you need to stretch them out. Love these shoes!

thedancer03/09/2013OK....
The picture is kind of misleading. I thought the toe bends to make a point, but it doesn't. And it is very difficult for me to put them on. Where all my fingers are pointing (in my picture) that part doesn't stretch for my foot to go in. The back 2 fingers are showing the part which curls out which makes it UH-GUH-LEE.

Lilia04/06/2012FABULOUS TAP SHOES
My daughter has been using these for years now. Tap is her favorite dance style, so she takes her tap shoes seriously. The taps provide great sound and the shoes are very comfortable. The ability to slip them on and off is really convenient. There is never the need to stop and tie laces. I am not totally sure about the durability because for years we her foot was growing 3 times a year and so we replaced them 3 times a year. :( Finally she had the last pair for a year before her foot grew. They are no where near worn out though and her sister will be able to wear them just fine. The leather is in as good a shape as when she first got them. The shoes are not stiff when they are new either. These shoes fit about 1/2 to 1 size bigger than street size in the adult sizes.

AKM10/02/2010 Wa,GREAT SHOE!
Fantastic shoe. First ordered one full size larger than my street size based on reviews and had to return because they were huge. Ordered what I wear in street size and they are great. If I had it to do over, I'd order half size smaller than my street size because the leather is so soft it stretches out a bit after wearing. I've had these for a few months and would recommend. The only downside to these is if you do toe-stands at all, they're so flexible with the split sole it makes them tricky to do.

I have had these tap shoes in black for the past 3 years. I am getting them in tan this fall. So I will have both colors. I love these shoes. They really support your arch and have an AWESOME sound. Their sound is crystal clear, and they last a long time. Just do a yearly buffing and cleaning to keep them looking brand new. I would recommend people buy these.

I really like these tap shoes! From the picture, I think the tan is a little bit lighter but it may just be the lighting. My friend has them in black and she loves them too! This is my first tap shoe and they are awesome! They are great for when I'm teaching because the little kids can hear the sound that I make with my shoe and then try to mimic them.

Rachel09/16/2008GREAT SHOE!
I got these shoes for Christmas over a year ago and they are great! The split sole is great for toe stands because your foot has enough freedom to bend, unlike other tap shoes. I wear them once a week and they are great for class. The sound is really good and the taps are staying on well. If there is one bad thing, it is that they are a little hard to put on, but it gets easier once you are used to them. It is hard to squeeze your foot in them, but once they're in, the shoes are very comfortable.

First of all, if you would like to buy this shoe, ORDER A SIZE UP. These are extremely comfortable, I've had these since either 2005 or 2006, and they are still going good. Again, order one size up for a perfect fit.

YumYumDancer08/12/2008TAP FLEX = PERFECTION!
This shoe was recommended for the competition dancers to get. I also wore it for regular class. I am extremely hard on all my shoes and these held up for 1 year with only a minor malfunction (the seam on the back of my right tap shoe ripped. But with some fabric glue and sewing, it's good as new). They are also very comfortable with no (at least for me) break-in time. These are absolutely fabulous shoes! I suggest everyone buys a pair.

Elizabeth07/18/2008LONG LASTING, YOU GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH
I've had mine for almost 5 years and they are great! They are comfortable and have a split sole that makes it easy to point and flex so your foot has more freedom... Only thing is the grip behind the front tap is starting to peel but that only started after my fourth year in the same pair.

Audrey03/09/2008 Sacramento,BEST EVER!
I used to dance in some full-soled Capezios, and they were totally uncomfortable and stiff, and the first time I did a toe stand I fell and twisted my ankle. So I got the tie version of these, and they are my favorites! They're so soft and comfortable, and I cannot stop doing toe stands in them. Now I have my first ones for rehearsal and a pair of tan ones for competition, and I simply can't get over how great they are. I wouldn't recommend anything else!
I can't say enough about these shoes! I've always only danced in Capezio tap shoes, but decided to try these after reading such great reviews. The inside is sooo soft, and they're VERY flexible! (So, if you're used to doing toe stands in stiff shoes, be careful the first time you try one in these...the first time I tried, I put forth way too much effort and almost went right over!!!) I have wide feet, and still have wiggle room in these. They are absolutely amazing!!!

Rebecca11/14/2007 Georgia,GOOD - EXCEPT IF YOU DO POINTE ALSO
I love these shoes! I teach in them and they don't make my feet hurt like most tap shoes. They are very supportive. I am a pointe dancer also (seems weird but very possible). I have a VERY strong arch from pointe work that when I attempt to do toe stands, I end up breaking my shoes. So if you have a strong arch, I would recommend finding a different shoe.

Allison01/08/2007 New York City,DEFINITELY THE BEST TAP SHOES. PERIOD.
I have had a pair of these tap shoes for about 3 years, and everytime I put them on, it's like it's the first time. They are INSANELY comfortable. They make a WONDERFUL tap sound that is loud and resounding. Toe Stands are a breeze in these babies. You can wear these shoes for hours of rehearsal and your feet will stay fine. Nothing can compare to these shoes and I've been tapping for 12 years. If you're a serious tapper these shoes are for you, or anyone for that matter. These shoes are simply the best.

These are great! I had lace-ups before and they offered NO arch support, and when I slipped these on, I was like 'Wow, I can do toe stands again!' They are the best tap shoes I have ever had and I have danced for 9 years. I love Bloch, so I wasn't surprised with what I got, but it still makes me happy when I slip my foot into the soft inside and I think, 'I got the best!' They're awesome!

DevL 02/05/2017 Elk Grove-ca Age: 22 to 29 What is your mens sizing for this shoe?
Hello! Thank you for contacting us. We suggest that men order 2 to 2 1/2 sizes larger than their street size. - DDS Customer Service (02/22/2017)
What size should I order? There are so many different opinions about whether to order smaller, same,
I am a mature adult wearing a size 7 regular. Will these shoes stretch out half a size? I like snug shoes..... to a degree. If I get my regular size 7 and they stretch to a 7.5, then that should be good, right? Or should I order a 7.5 to begin with??
Most customers find that ordering a half size larger is best for this style. Please refer to the sizing guide listed under the product information. For further assistance, please contact our customer service department at 1-800-328-7107. - DDS Customer Service (05/20/2015)
I wear 9.5 and ordered a 10. Perfect fit, so go up 1/2 size. - Gumby413 (01/04/2016)
P?n?lope 03/02/2014 Age: 25 to 34 Which tap shoe size is fitting with European size 39?
I looked in different size charts on internet which one would be fit the most with me, I'm 39 (European), but I never could find the same answer.
6.5? 8?
With this"TapFlex" shoe which size do you think would be the best choice for me?
Thank you!!
If you wear a size 39 in European that is equivalent to a US size 9. You will then need to follow the suggested fitting for the Tap Flex. - DDS Customer Service (03/13/2014)
SC8229 05/14/2013 Bay Area, Ca, Usa Age: 35 to 44 Do you carry adult size 3 or 3.5 (kids size 1 or 1.5)?
Hi, I need kid's size 1 or 1.5, but I don't see adult size 3 or 3.5. Do you have them? Thanks!
The smallest size we carry is an adult 4.0. This is equivalent to child's typical size 2.0. This shoe does run a little small, so you may be able to fit the child 1.5 in the adult 4.0, though unfortunately we cannot guarantee sizing. - DDS Customer Service (05/14/2013)
