Super happy with how easy it was to order exactly what she needs, and they were shipped out and received so quickly!! Great order experience!! Great shoe! Fits my foot perfectly, lifts me up, gets me over the box easily, but breaks down quickly! Jet glue is my friend!

If you know what you are doing and have been fitted it’s a great shoe. Once broken in they last a little bit longer.

just ya average girl09/08/2018AMAZING SHOES!
I got these as my first pair of pointe shoes when I was eleven, and while I have tried other shoes, I have always come back to the Studio 2's. My feet are quite wide (E) and while my feet aren't very flexible or "archy", they are very strong. My left foot pronates a bit, and in most Blochs, Grishkos, and other Freeds, my foot just sinks in and is not supported at all. Studio 2's are the only ones that support my feet, and I love how high the wings are. These shoes are so flattering and comfortable, nothing can beat them. However, the only downside is that they die in just a few days for me if I don't shellac them, they just die SO FAST. But if I shellac the bog and wings immediately and then the shank once it gets to start to get soft, I can easily make these last two months. I would also suggest airing them out after class or rehearsal to extend their life. Otherwise, these shoes are amazing and I would highly recommend!

CCD02/05/2018ELEGANT LINES
The Studios II has a rather low, slimming box profile, making it look very elegant. The insole and box a have a special design that encourages correct alignment of the foot, the platform is very flat and more on the wide side, therefore good for balancing and not wobbly at all. This all makes it a good shoe for beginners, but it is also popular with advanced students and pros. The vamp is medium and does not interfere with demi-pointe unless you have very short toes. Compared to Studios, the profile is a bit lower, so if you need a higher crown or profile, try the regular Studios, these have the same design, and are also more tapered than Studios II. However, Studios II also work for tapered feet (I have Greek feet with 2nd longer toe, and they work fine for me!) They are not really square, IMO slightly tapered. With tapered feet, you just have to make sure you don't buy them too wide in order to ensure that your metatarsal is held firmly so that you don't slide into the box.

Love these Freeds! I have had an extremely hard time finding my perfect pointe shoe, this is it! I've worn Russian Pointe Rubin V Cut, and Gamba G 97. The one problem I have with this brand in general is the durability. I quickly kill any shoes about one pair a week if I am not careful, especially these. However, jet glue and shellac before and during the use life of the shoe can make these last for about a month for me.

The difference between width EE and E is huge! I have wide feet (XXXX in Bloch and 6 in Russian), but surprisingly, I sink into the box of EE in these. The E seems to wrap and support my toes better, and the width E seems to taper more. The discrepancy could be caused because each freed is made differently.

I have tapered toes, wide metatarsals and narrow heels, almost disappearing. These shoes looked great on my feet at the shop, but when I wore them for dance class, it was one painful experience. I can absolutely feel my bunions growing immediately, They are supportive and easy to go over the box but the box area was just way too hard. I had to just alcohol to soften the box and wrap my toes with tape (which is something I never had to do with Capezios). If you're looking for a strong and supportive box, then these shoes will do the job.

Anonymous06/07/2011OKAY TO MEH
In the beginning of the shoe's life it was probably one of the best shoes I have worn in my life. I tend to switch brands every time I get new pointes and when I put them on I thought it would be a shoe that would tick with my needs. Then about 3 weeks later they were just HORRIBLE! I mean having a shoe that works with your feet is fine but having a shoe on the inside that fits every crevice of your foot doesn't work. I ended up just not wearing them again. For beginners, I think this shoe would be wonderful, but anyone more advanced get something stronger that lasts longer.

Sorry to those who make these shoes but I can't stand them. My feet are entirely different, with weak ankles-and a tendency to wing- and that's about where the similarities end. My left has a poor arch and tendinitis but it isn't the worst. My right has a medium arch and is smaller and not as wide as my left, plus the toes are different. Anyway, when I had these, the shank died within two weeks with barely any classes and the box was still insanely hard and painful. Ouch. I love it when my boxes die and are squishy while my shank is not entirely hard but still not ending in half (otherwise my right buckles over). I have discovered this same thing in Freeds and this really makes me not want to buy them cause I've tried several Freeds and the same thing has happened. Oh well :(

I bought these about a couple weeks before my dance company's version of The Nutcracker. They look great on my feet, and I love how supportive they are in the arch area.
Pros:
*look nice
*work well
*supportive
Cons:
*They died quickly on me, but my arch is messed up...but a little jet glue did the trick and now they are good as new!
*They are a little hard at first, but they soften up later on. Overall, great shoe and I would recommend it to anyone!

I wore these shoes for a 1/2 hour and completely fell in love with them. I don't have very high arches and these shoes make me look like I have one. I also feel lifted out of my shoes which is great. I would most definitely recommend these shoes.

I bought these shoes, and they suck! They broke-in really fast, and are about to be too soft to dance in. My pointe teacher said that they are too narrow for my feet, but the next size was waaay too wide. Plus, I think the shoes are just shaped weirdly. There is too much fabric on the sides, and I don't feel like it holds my foot very well, but they would be too narrow if they were a smaller width. I don't recommend these shoes, to beginners, or to advanced dancers either. They break- in much too quickly for advanced dancers, and it is hard to really be on the platforms for beginners.

I absolutely love "Thedancingsistas Love them 4Ever" review. I agree with them completely. The studio II's are such good shoes, I have been wearing them for almost 3 months now and I put them on practically every day just to look at them. They are perfect for beginners especially, but really anyone can wear them. They really are the best shoes in the universe!

I am not really a dancer but my best, best, best friend dances and I saw her pointe shoes. She asked me to write this review for them because she does not have access to the Internet. She told me to say that they were the best shoes (dance shoes) she has ever put on her feet and she also says that when she goes on to pointe, those shoes are more comfortable-with the correct padding-than street shoes! She told me to put a smiley face at the end : )

These are the best pointe shoes ever out of all the many brands me and my sisters have tried. We have been dancing for six years on pointe and just HAVE to say they are the best shoes in the whole universe! It is the only shoe I have actually worn in the past 6 years! Don't listen to those people that say they are awful! We are all strong dancers and this pointe shoe will definitely work best for you! BUY THEM NOW!

They were really hard and uncomfortable first, even when I tried breaking them in, but now after a long time they are getting comfortable. I think the vamp is too short for me because where I demi-point, the vamp is just there.

These are the best kind of shoes for me! They complement my high arch and are beautiful broken in. I have strong feet, high arches, and long toes. A teacher told me to pull out the top nail to make them break in better and it helped me a lot!

Kimberly07/04/2007 Chicago,
I like these better than Freed Classics. They make me pull up more, and the result is a nicer looking foot. I wear a 7X in Freed Classics, so I got a 7D in these and they fit the same. At first, it felt like the box was digging into the bone right above my big toe, and I had a hard time getting fully over the box on my right foot. But after another class, they were much better! Overall, I think these shoes are well constructed, and flattering to arches.

Katharine05/21/2007 Utah,THESE SHOES ARE GREAT!
I LOVE these shoes. I have been using these for the past 3 years. I know everybody complains that they break down really fast, but I actually enjoy dancing in them the most when they are pretty close to dead. Yes, they do hurt, but don't all pointe shoes? The box does not break for awhile, it's the shank that breaks first, but if you have a strong foot, that should not make a difference anyways.

Rainy03/14/2007 Jacksonville, Fl,DEFINITELY NOT FOR ME!
I have these shoes right now and I don't like them at all! Probably the only good thing about them is they are very quiet. Other than that, they kinda suck. They don't last at all, I wore mine three times (less than one hour each time) and they were already soft. They don't come in a lot of sizes, and they make your arch look like crap if you have a low arch. I would say, unless you have a HUGE arch, don't get these shoes.

I've been wearing Studio IIs for about a year now. I'm on like, my sixth pair I think. I don't know why I am still wearing these, because even though my feet look great in these shoes, I ALWAYS have completely bruised big toe nails. And for me, they are very painful than anything I have worn in the past. I used to wear Bloch's and they didn't bruise anything ... however, I continue to wear these because they just make my feet look sooo pretty. I have high arches but I also have tapered toes; they go in a diagonal line. So if your feet are like mine in that sense, I do not recommend them.

Kenna02/10/2007 Texas,GREAT BUT, TWO THINGS TO THINK ABOUT
Ummm, well, I love the shoes!!! But my 2nd toe is my longest toe, and on both feet, my toenail came off. Then, when I am on demi-pointe, there is a gap of material. But they broke in quite fast and they are great balancers!

These shoes have a wide box and a short vamp, which is not good if you have tapered toes! They didn't have enough support and gave me awful bruised toenails. If your toes are more square, they will work better.

Well, I've recently switched to Studios II and I'm very pleased! I've gotten lots of compliments on how pretty they make my feet look and the wider platform is great for balance. I've only had them for a few days and they've broken in really nicely, but like all the
Freeds I've worn in the past, I'm afraid that they'll be dead too soon. I'm really hoping that they'll last, but anyway, we'll see!

I love these shoes! I have been wearing them for 3 years and I've tried all different shoes/brands, but these are the best. They're easy to break in. The only problem is they don't last very long, but with jet glue, they can last for basically as long as you want!
