Comfortable, true to size a bit tight but had socks on for the first time to get them stretched out.

crystalized12/10/2022ON THE SMALL SIDE
I wear a street shoe size 9.5 and I ordered both size 10 and size 10.5 to try out. I settled on Size 10. I wish the 10 was just a tiny bit wider, but I think I will be OK. I didn't go with the 10.5 because it was just a little too long and I decided that too much length was worse than having a bit more width.

We are a group of seniors and need comfortable shoes and these work very well
New student for adult beginner tap. Older woman with plantar fasciitis. I ordered my regular street shoe size because I wear socks and heel guards. These fit well with those extras. I wanted a decent economical shoe since I wasn’t sure if I can continue. They are comfortable with a low heel and rubber skid pad so I don’t slip on the floor. Pleased with purchase so far.

I love the neoprene sides, but in less than a year the heel completely came off and the taps on the toe fall off regularly. DO NOT BUY THESE.

These were small in the toe box, like maybe a little to short for the foot. But the stretchy arch doesn't help, the toes rub and haven't even danced i them before my toes were aching.

My oldest daughter loves these because she has to move quickly from her ballet class to her tap class. The slip-on aspect was the selling point to her. The issue every reviewer who doesn't like these is the screws come loose. Screws come loose on tap shoes. I would say that, yes, these come loose more often, but it isn't unusual.
After our second pair we just started securing the screws with either Lock-tight or super glue. Never had an issue again.

TapLady09/18/2015CUTE SHOE BUT RUNS A LITTLE NARROW IN...
First of all the arrival was quick and I was excited about that until. I opened the outer box and the strong solvent smell was awful then I opened the actual shoe box and the smell was worse. My delivery arrived on a Saturday and they still smell nearly a week later even after spraying with Febreeze twice. I am very unhappy with my order and never want to order from your company again. I am pretty certain you won't post this review. Thanks for asking for my review anyway.

Whitelilies2602/16/2015YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
I ordered these shoes for some students as a practice shoes. They were true beginners, and I wanted something that would be easy on their feet. For that purpose, and given the price, they're great shoes. However, once the screws start coming out, you aren't getting them back in. These shoes are not durable enough for long term, strong dancers. I would recommend them as a good option for beginners who don't want to invest in a more expensive shoe.

dancexo12/17/2014RUNS A HALF SIZE TOO SMALL
The shoes are very stylish, comfortable and have a great sound. However, I should have ordered a Half size lager. My shoes are right up against the toe almost, but I can manage since I only take one lesson a week, (had to cut down on some classes)! I do reccommend these shoes.

Soozin09/04/2014RUNS VERY SMALL!
I never write reviews, but I'm so aggravated trying to find the right size that I want others to know how terrible the sizing is on these shoes. My daughter is 9 y/o and wears a street size shoe 3-4. The recommendations for ordering are to order a 1/2 size smaller than street shoe. So...first I ordered a size 3.5 and 3. WAY too small. Next I ordered a 5 and 5.5. We had to cram her foot into the 5.5 and her toes were at the very end. We are now waiting on our THIRD order. Hopefully third time is a charm!

I just got these tap shoes a few days ago, and from what I can tell they should work just fine in class. The semester hasn't started yet, so I can't comment on durability, but I do like the neoprene insert in the shoe, it seems like they'll be nice and flexible through the arch for better articulation. The price was nice, and in playing around in them at home, nothing seems off about the sound quality.

831DancerMom06/07/2014DO NT BUY THIS SHOE!
When I saw this slip on tap shoe, I thought this is the one. Perfect for my fast growing daughter. Not too expensive.... but you get what you pay for, right. Within 4 months of using them only O N C E a week we had issues.
We, too, had a lost screw and then the base of the front tap, the actual shoe, broke off! In 20 years of buying dance shoes this has never happened. The shoe was worthless before she could outgrow it.

sundancer05/07/2014DECENT SHOE, BUT WATCH THE SCREWS
I've had my shoes for a little over a year and a half. Just recently lost a screw from each shoe; they are still usable but now I have to find replacement screws. When I first got them, there was a slight lip between the tap and the pad which I tripped/slipped on doing pullbacks. Now that it's worn down a bit, it's not a problem. Good shoe for the price. Taps have a decent sound. Just watch the screws.

I teach several days a week as well as recommend this shoe to all of my students and require it for several of my classes. It is a solid shoe and stands up to a lot. I keep an eye on the screw on the plates of the shoe so they don't come loose, but that is a problem that I have had with every tap shoe that I have ever owned.

jb2612/15/2013TAPS FELL OFF!
I bought these shoes because I liked the neoprene insert because I have wider feet. However, after about 2 weeks of using these shoes every other day, the screws started coming loose in the taps. For awhile I would just screw them back in but eventually I lost one screw, then two. Seeing as how they do not sell the screws, I had to resort to my local hardware store. These shoes are not good for someone who will be dancing on them regularly. I guess you get what you pay for! I would not recommend these to someone.

LisaG11/07/2013POOR QUALITY
The theatrical neoprene insert adult tap shoes are the poorest quality shoes I have purchased for my daughter in her 12 years of dancing. She has been using the shoes less than two months and both of the soles have broken in half. Her dance instructor said she has never seen shoes do this and they are not safe for her to wear. Very unhappy customer!

Tus106/30/2013GREAT SHOES
I used this type of shoe when I was much younger so I was looking for this style. They fit me great, and it can accommodate a wider foot without a problem! I really like the bottoms more than the way they use to make them because it helps prevent slipping and I have been injured in the past from slipping in tap shoes. I would suggest getting 1/2 size smaller if you prefer a more snug fit, but the same size if you intend to wear socks instead of tights.

Toe stands 02/05/2015
Can you easily do toe stands?
Split sole tap shoes are better for toe stands. - DDS Customer Service (02/10/2015)
Can you please advise correct sizing for my child whose foot is 8 6/8" (so i'm assuming a 1/4 inch s
A child's foot that is 8 6/8" is approximately a ladies 5.5. Going off of that measurement you would go down a 1/2 size and order a size 5. This is just a recommendation though and unfortunately we cannot guarantee sizing. - DDS Customer Service (06/03/2013)
Teresa 05/26/2013 North Carolina Age: 55 to 64 Where can I find replacement screws for toe taps?
Help! I have two pair of these shoes and have lost the toe tap screw from the right shoe of each pair. Not sure if this may be a manufacturing problem. Does anyone know if replacement screws are available? I've tried my local hardware store but all the have are too long. I am trying to avoid cutting a screw to fit. All suggestions are welcome!
If you have already tried your local hardware store I would find a cobbler or a shoe repair business. Typically they will carry extra screws for shoes. If you are still not able to find them then, you can always try and call customer service. I cannot guarantee that they will have extra screws, but it may be a last option. - DDS Customer Service (05/28/2013)
Katiesmom 10/01/2012 Florida Age: 45 to 54 Do these tap shoes run small or true to size? Thank you.
The suggested sizing on this shoe is to order a half size smaller than your street shoe size. This a suggested fitting not a guarentee. The difference in a half size is approximately 1/4". - DDS Customer Service (10/01/2012)
