They are very cute but does not help. Very limited range of motion, I had to go up 2 size to make it work

I came to DDS to order another pair of body wrappers ripstop nylon pants that I've had for years. I couldn't find them so I decided to try these instead. I LOVE the high waistband, especially since I often struggle with lower back stiffness in winter. I'm never confident on sizing when ordering online, so if it helps, I have a roughly 29" inseam, 25" waist, 35" hips, 59.5" girth. I ordered a size 4 and there is plenty of room. I'm not worried about ripping them (they seem pretty durable). I probably could've gotten away with a size 3, but Id rather have them too large than too small. I much prefer the thick fabric bottom cuffs and the thick fabric waistband on these pants much more than the thin elastic of my body wrappers pair. The thick waistband is so easy to warm up the back and fold down over the hips. The bottom cuffs also make it easy to push the pants up over the knees. Sansha's fabric also seems slightly thicker than my Bodywrappers version. I wore the Sansha pants for barre and made it about to adagio before starting to feel too warm. Also, Sansha pants are made of polyester and they make more noise with movement than Bodywrappers ripstop nylon, just heads up. May grab another pair at some point. Overall, definitely recommend.

I really like the high waist elasticated feature of these pants. They keep my torso warm! You can also roll the waist down if you would like to. I'm petite and ordered size 3. It fits well with room to stretch.

I don't know if it's a coincidence, but right after I put these on I landed the cleanest pirouettes I've ever done. Lucky pants maybe? Love the fit, and they will definitely be keep big me warm.

I got these for my daughter. She loves them! She always want to wear them to class everyday and they keep her muscles warm as she dances or stretches.

I really like these trash bag pants. I wear them basically everyday to dance and they are perfect for my long dance days. I like the way they look and do a pretty good job warming me up or keeping me warm. They are great to throw on in between classes everyday.

I am very happy with how these fit. I am more on the curvy side foe a dancer and wanted enough room to feel like I can move and these feel great. I also love the knit waistband, it is very flattering and gives even more comfort and flexibility.

I like these warm ups, but they are a tad snug in the upper thigh and butt when lifting the leg into an extended position. I rated them "true to size" because I feel if I had ordered a size up, the leg length would be way too long for me. I am a 5 foot 1 inch tall, 130 pounds, 46 years old adult ballet dancer with an "athletic" build. I think once I tone up some more they will not be as snug in these two areas as they are today. I really like the wide knit waistband, it keeps your core very warm, as well as the knit cuffs at the ankles so I do not have to worry about slipping on them, and they stay in place well. I have already recommended these to other dancers in my class.

These are my new favorites to layer. They do run a bit short and are a little tight so i would buy one size up. Overall I love them!

These are so comfy and high quality! They fit great but you can’t really lift up your legs in them because they get tight and restricting towards the top.

I am difficult to warm up and easy to cool down. Good trash bag pants are a must. These are delightfully warm and unlike some pants have the added bonus of a super thick waist band that keeps your midsection warm - it's also quite flattering! Following other users suggestions, I ordered up a size, but I also encountered a similar issue as others - it's tight around the rear. I found that I could wiggle it into a 'sweet spot' that meant I didn't need to keep fussing with it during my barres, then grand plie away. Your mileage may vary, though. For my purposes, these work great at keeping all the heat in like your own personal sauna. You will definitely sweat in these things!

Not a lot of give around the butt and thigh area, so everytime I went to take a grande plie or grande battement I couldn't go full out in fear of splitting the pants. I also have short legs so the legs were long on me, but the band at the bottom keeps them in place, so it's not really an issue. Overall, I enjoy wearing these and they do make you sweat.

Great trash bag pant! I love the folding waist! I have curvy hips and most other types with elastic dig into my waist to hip crease, making me look like balloon with a small rubber band around it - these don’t make me look like that. I’m a size 6 or 8 in street clothes (5’4”, 140lbs) ordered a size 5 and I still have enough room to stretch in them. Not much, but just enough. I haven’t taken a full class in them yet, so I cannot attest to how the material will hold up.

These are a must have for warming up for class! I love the high waist and the cuffs at the bottom are great so they don't slip over your heel. One thing... order up a size!

I love these warm-ups and have been a fan of this style for many years. I must agree with past reviews though-- these pants, although very cute on, are simply uncomfortable for stretching and moving! They do give a little when you are quite sweaty, but the comfort factor is VERY low! Certainly not made for those of us with round behinds and small waists!

I love the idea of these pants. They appear to be great quality. I purchased the plum color in a 5. As with most things Sansha they are cut for a long ballerina female type. I am a short muscular more gymnast body type. I find them to be tighter in the thighs and bottom than I would typically like. Not sending them back, hoping they will give a little while I teach, just won't wear them to take class myself, too restrictive.

I've always seen other dancers wearing garbage bag pants or shorts. Now I know why! These keep you warm without overheating (even through entire barre#. This particular style has the added benefit of the high waist band that really keeps your abs/back warm and engaged. I ordered these pants in my normal Sansha size, but they were huge and looked odd. I reordered them a size smaller and they fit very well. So, I would suggest ordering down a size from your usual. Great purchase! I am curious to see how they hold up over the next few months #cold weather coming so I will be using them a lot), but for now they seem like a quality purchase.

I love these pants-- they are flattering, well made, and they do their job when warming up. However! They are too tight in the thigh/bottom to really work in a full range of motion without some pulling. I bought these for stretch sessions and cannot comfortably stretch without major re-arranging. I'm afraid the waist would be to baggy and unflattering if I ordered a size up. I have a proportionally smaller waist and a rounder rear and muscular thighs-- if you have my body type, I cannot recommend ordering this pant if you're looking for something to really work in.

I don't understand what the torso measurement means, especially in relation to ordering these pants. Help, please?

I apologize for the confusion. This is a standard Sansha size chart. Please disregard the torso portion and just use the weight suggestion. Also, you can base it on your US clothing size. Sansha sizing is as follows: 2= US P (2-3) 3= US S (3-4) 4= US M (4-5) 5= US L (5-6) 6= US XL (6-7)

Usually to measure torso you go between the legsup around one shoulder, but doing that my measurement is 62".

This Torso measurement is not referring to the girth, which would be the measurement around the torso. This is just the length of the torso not completely around.
