07/19/2024These are great shoes and last a long time. They are super flexible and my daughter is able to point her toes a lot easier than the traditional jazz shoes.

Okemos,MILove that I can order free forms here - they are not available in many places. I was not happy that it asked to choose street shoe size and they came WAY TOO SMALL. My daughter wears a 6.5 shoe and needed to order a 8.5 free form it seems. Now I need to pay shipping to reorder the proper size and I needed them now. Otherwise - they're a durable product.
Thank you for your feedback. We will contact you via email shortly to see how we can help you return or exchange.

Dallas,TXI bought 2 pairs of this pretty shoes. When I received it and tried it, I was very disappointed since it's too small to get in the shoes. I have to return it. The customer care is great and no issue to return the unfit shoes.

11/15/2019We ordered these for my daughter's dance studio. Went by her current size (4.5) and when they got here, they were so small that my youngest daughter couldn't even get them on. They also have NO stretch to them at all.

Lancaster,WII was very disappointed in this shoe. These shoes are required for our competition dance lyrical team. My original order was in the fall (2018). I had read reviews stating shoes run small so I ordered, what I thought, appropriately. They came and were still way to small. No issues returning and reordering. I did finally get the correct size. However, these lasted less than 6 months before they started wearing out. Eventually both shoes had holes. Because this is a mandatory team shoe, I had to re-order. I would have switched shoes for better quality. The price is too high for product received. Capezio typically does better and is our go to for Ballet, Tap, and Jazz, but I would never buy these again, if I had the choice. Very disappointed capezio customer.

Perry,FLI teach for over 20 hours per week, so I go through a lot of shoes and have pretty realistic expectations of how long a shoe should last. These didn't even come close- hole by the fifth hour of dancing on marley. I owned a pair a few years ago when I was working on wood and they lasted a bit longer- almost 3 weeks hole free! I can't recommend these due to the thinness of the leather and their incredibly short lifespan.

Roanoke,VAI bought a pair of Freeforms because I was sick of heeled jazz shoes sliding around on my feet. I have a very narrow heel and ankle, and I had never been able to find a pair of regular heeled jazz shoes that would stay put. My foot would slide off of the heel, not only making me lose my balance, but also presenting a safety hazard. These shoes fix that problem! Without a heel, my feet stay put. The elastic straps are a huge added bonus. They do run a little bit small, so I would recommend ordering a half size up if your feet are narrow or maybe even a full size up if you have wider feet. For reference, I wear a 6.5 in normal shoes and a 7 in Nikes. I bought a size 7.0 M in the Freeforms, and they fit perfectly.

Thomaston,CTI'm in the process of switching my students over from a class leather jazz boot to Freeforms and have gotten nothing but good feedback from my dancers. I know I personally notice a change in the feel of my arch since I've been wearing these. They are very flattering and showcase pointed feet.
My only issue was sizing. I RECOMMEND ORDERING ONE SIZE UP!! I did a large group order for my kids and every single pair had to be exchanged for the next size up. For example, my girls that wear a size 8 street shoe had to return their size 8 Freeforms for 9's... every single dancer.

Gainesville,FLNeeded these for my Pilates class. Because I read the reviews of this product, I ordered an 8 even though my normal shoe size is a 7. The 8 was much too short and I couldn't straighten my toes. I have a narrow foot but this was uncomfortable and thus, unwearable. Very disappointed in your customer service as I explained below.

04/17/2017I ordered these for practice in jazz class because the bulk of my regular jazz shoes bothers me. I ordered an 8.5 which is my street shoes size and they are just a little snug but I have longer second and third toes, so that's kind of normal for me. But they're so light and feel great. My teacher commented on how they make my feet look very good in class and a few other people in class thought they looked great. After one class the heel looks a little stretched and wrinkled after taking them off, but since on the feet is the name of the game, I'm not too worried yet. I'm ordering them in the pink color for flat in ballet as well, hopefully they work just as good since my current ballet shoes are feeling a bit baggy. Fingers crossed!

Woodland,CAI had high hopes for these shoes, but unfortunately they have a really weird and flimsy construction that just doesn't fit the foot very well. The only people I can see wearing these shoes are folks with really wide feet. Too bad....

Green Bay,WILove the look, and seem like they would be comfortable but sizing is WAY off. It said to order street size. Street size wasn't available so I went up half a size hoping it would work and not be too big. It is the complete opposite - they are way to small. Same with the tap shoes we ordered and the dance shoes I ordered for her last year. Other than sizing issues the products are great but I can't keep buying shoes that don't fit. Think I will have to go local from now on.

05/21/2015I am a dance teacher and was eager to try these in hopes of finding something my students could wear that would be very sleek and form fitting, yet supportive. They are VERY comfortable and light feeling, which I love, but the heel would not stay on! I have a slightly narrow heel, and every single time I go into a high releve the heel pops right off! So disappointed I can't wear them :(

01/28/2015The product itself it fine. However, the sizing is WAY off, even according the how to order. I have ordered these shoes 3 different times. According to the website my daughter needed a 6.5.....too small, went to a 7.5...too small....8 same thing. FINALLY went to a 8.5 before its was correct. With shipping fees and return fees it gets to be a hassle and a lot of unnecessary spending. It also happened to two other families in our studio!

09/04/2014My daughter loves these shoes...she has had 5 pairs in 3 years.
Those were for new sizes and after 9 mo. wear & tear we wanted a new pair for competitions. It allows her 100% flexibility and movement through her foot. Even though it is very thin and lightweight she has no issues with it staying on her foot when she turns. My only complaint would be is the top coating/color wears off very quickly and eventually a holes, this is b/c it is thin. Have to take the good with the bad. We had caramel color and were able to cover it with foundation makeup.

06/27/2014This shoe is perfect for Marley floors. I love them! The way they work with the Marley gives a feel more similar to a ballet shoe. The leather sole allows easy turning without the resistance the rubber soles create. There is no heel to speak of so if you are not used to working in ballet shoes, you may find this shoe does not have enough substance for you. They run a bit small so I recommend a half size or full size up from street shoe.

05/26/2014why not just advertise that this shoe is child size and make suggestions for adult sizes. I am so disappointed that I don't dare take a chance and order a larger size. I still cant believe how tiny the adult size 6 1/2 is and I have a small narrow foot. I can't imagine any adult able to get a foot in these shoes.
sorry. just awful!!

05/05/2014I purchased my first pair of Freeforms several years ago and I have bought nothing else since! They breathe well, conform to the foot and make the arch look beautiful! A few words of caution that I have discovered along the way: the black shoes are a little stiffer leather than the tan and take a little longer to stretch and they tend to dye the feet black. The more you use the shoes, the less dye will rub off. I teach dance, rather than take class, but they have held up well for me. Yes, they have a shorter life span than most shoes, but the comfort makes up for it 100%. They are so comfortable and look amazing! My students have commented multiple times on how 'cool' the shoes are and asked where they can get them :)

03/28/2014I bought this shoe after dancing a year in a Capezio's 'E Series' slip on jazz shoe. I started taking a pretty intense jazz class with lots of turning and found them sticking to the marley on my turns which became very difficult. I was drawn to the suede bottoms on these shoes, and while I was hesitant to buy them due to some of the reviews, I am *so* glad I got these!
This shoe is insanely comfortable... I feel like I'm not even wearing shoes at all when I have these on. The mesh arch makes allows your feet to breathe and makes you feel like you're barefoot which I personally love. The little strips of neoprene between the leather gives your foot plenty of stretch as well. The power mesh arch also melds to your foot and makes them look amazing when you dance. I fell in love with them at the first point of my toe. A huge difference in feel from the 'E Series'. And I got the turnability that I needed for my class! These things turn like a dream on marley, however, I tried this on wood and it was super slippery! So I would take that into account when ordering these.
I also love the little detail of the strap on the heel as well. It gives it a nice little point of interest. I saw some reviews of others having problems with these straps falling down/off, but they have worked for me. I actually ordered a half size down after my E series stretching out a half size too big and found that is the case with these shoes as well. They were a little tight at first, but after the first few classes, they fit perfectly. I think ordering down helps with the strap issue as well.
Okay. Now the sad part. These aren't going to be the shoe that you wear for years and years and years. If you are a beginner dancer or just trying out a class for fun and looking for something that is going to be super durable, I would wait and get these shoes later on. I haven't had any major issues yet, but can I already see the leather wearing down a little bit on my toes and the stitching for the suede bottom starting to loosen just a little bit and I've only had them for a few weeks. But honestly, the turnability and the feel on my foot are TOTALLY worth it. I'm thinking about ordering the beige and putting them aside only for auditions.
If you are willing to trade durability for ease and turnability, definitely give this shoe a shot!

11/19/2013the leather at the toe wear out really fast. I guess it depends on how much and how hard you dance in them, though. Other than that I love the shoe.

05/25/2013Fabulous feel, good fit even for my skinny feet. Unfortunately after you dance once they look beaten up (caramel color) but the comfort and ability to point my feet as well as to turn well make up for it.

04/11/2013When I first bought these, I thought they were my perfect shoe. Turning was a breeze! They had the perfect amount of traction on wood, marley, you name it! All of my dancer friends bought them. About a month later we had all gone back to our old shoes.
The problem is there are so many seams on the inside! Every time I move my foot some random flap of fabric on the inside flips up! I will re-adjust, dance again, and some OTHER seam/piece of elastic/flap of fabric will bother me :/
I Would NOT recommend these to anyone!

02/17/2013I am absolutely in love with these shoes. They are extremely comfortable and very easy to dance in. The sole of the shoes make them very easy to turn in. The only problem I had was they got a hole right under my big toe from how much I turn. I also can't wear the strap on my heel, I have to wear it across my foot. Besides the durability they are fabulous and really make you work your feet. :)

02/05/2013I have ordered these several times in the Light Pink and have loved them. I recently tried them in the Black and found that there was a bit of a sizing difference. The Pink I would say are about a half size larger than the Black. They do tend to get a hole in the toe but it does take some time. I wear these about 6+ hours a week and the Pink ones have lasted as little as 6 months and as long as a year. Which for how often I wear them is pretty good. Any other shoe I have tried I replace with the same frequency. The Black ones however only lasted a month, I think the main reason is that I thought they would stretch out and didn't return them for the half size larger like I should have.

08/02/2012I ordered these in the same size I ordered all the other capezio shoes she needed for classes. These run very small. I had read the review saying purchase a larger size and did not take the advice offered. I am returning the shoes and ordering an 11 for my daughter who wears a street size women's 9. I had ordered her a 9.5 previously. I will try to remember to post again after receiving the larger size.

04/05/2012I am a dancer and I absolutely love these shoes!!! I have used them for a couple months and through about 3 competitions. They fit really well to your feet and they make your feet look less bulky than jazz or foot undies. I used them for about 2 months before they got a hole in them. But otherwise really great shoes!!!

New York, Ny,I liked how light these shoes are, almost like a ballet slipper. But they constantly slide off my heel. There is a heel strap that does practically nothing, that I ended up putting over my arch, rather than around my heel. Its very frustrating to keep pulling up your shoes while trying to dance!

Levittown, Pa,GET A SIZE LARGER THAN YOUR STREET SHOE.(Mine are too tight so I'm hoping they will stretch out and the bottom of the heel will be in the right place.) The leather is soft on the inside of the toe area and turning is real easy. Besides being too small I really like them.
