06/11/2018I don't understand where all of the sizing discrepancy comes in. I wear between 7.5 and 8.5 in street shoe. Because so many people warned of the shoe running small, I ordered a large.
Nope, I definitely should have ordered a medium, the large are too big. According to the packaging they came in, M is 8-9 and L is 10-11. I will be returning to get a medium... So for my experience these are true to size.

08/17/2015I wear a size 5 in women's shoes, so I ordered a small in these. My feet are average width. They were WAY too small. I could barely get them on my feet, and when I did, they squeezed my toes so tight they would turn bright red. I had to return to get a bigger size. Definitely order a size up.

06/18/2014I have trouble turning in modern without these. They defiantly mean you get fewer calluses, and they don't let the floor rip up the ball of your foot. As they are nude mesh and your toes and the majority of your foot have nothing on it, they aren't noticeable from stage. The sole pads rip off after a while, and then you have to replace them, so they aren't the most durable. They also don't stay on if they are too small. However, being such an aid in turning, I will probably purchase them again.

05/17/2014I purchased these in black for my little dancer last year. They fit her well & she says they feel great on her feet. They cover the balls of her feet well, don't slip off & she's able to turn, jump, etc. with ease. She attends class twice a week (once with these) and they are holding up well! I'm ordering a second pair today in a different color! Definitely worth it!

04/10/2014To be honest I have around 5 pairs of these and debate myself why. They do last for a while but then the material on the bottom begins to break off. Also this little shoe continually begins to slip off when you dance, and it doesn't cover barely any of your foot. My friend has something similar but they're longer than mine and better

03/21/2014Wow! I just received my daughters first pair of "FootUndeez" yesterday and I can tell you they are worth the chance I took by ordering them. I almost bought a pair at a local dance boutique on sale for over $20. I took a chance and ordered these online at DD for well under that price. My daughter put them on right away and they fit her perfectly. These are true to size and look to be exactly the same as the kind I saw for $27. I'm going to order more!

09/04/2013I wear a 7 1/2 to 8 but have wide feet and high arches. The sizing guide recommended a medium, which is for size 8-9 feet. This was a really good choice. It takes a little getting used to the feel of the Foot Undeez but I really like them, as I often used to get blisters on the pads of my feet. Thanks!

08/28/2013I have bought several pairs of these for my daughter over the years. They are great for turning, slip on and off easily and look "pretty" during performance. The only real problem is if they wear out fast. If you only dance a couple of hours a week it is fine but if it is more then the pads come lose or fall off completely. I would also recommend wider feet order one size up. The colors are pretty much spot on. I order the nude and it is very light, which is perfect for my daughter. Overall, she loves the shoes and says they are very comfortable and very easy to dance in with enough grip to not slip but able to turn easily.

08/03/2013My girls wear their Foot Undeez about four hours a week, essentially all the dance hours not spent in taps or ballet shoes. They love them because they are comfortable and allow them to turn better than in bare feet. They love the fun colors and prints for class and rehearsals, but the basic nude style is a performance standard at our studio.
As their mom, however, I have found that I need to replace them frequently as the leather foot pad often gets frayed or the stitching unravels. Their competition pairs tend to last longer since they are worn less frequently.
My girls are only 8 and 10 with relatively small feet, but find that the adult sizes feel most comfortable. I purchased my 8-year-old (size 2 skinny feet) an adult small and my 10-year-old (size 3 wide feet) an adult medium, and both say they feel great. Hope this helps!

06/14/2013My daughter prefers Foot Undeez to other similar products because they are comfortable and less expensive. They seem to run a little small. She wears a size 8 shoe but likes the large Foot Undeez. One drawback of this product is that we seem to replace them often. My daughter dances 6-hours-plus each week, however, so maybe that is normal wear and tear.

06/13/2013I bought these at a Capezio store, not online, so that I could get them fitted properly. They were the only option that I had for shoes for my contemporary/modern class, and I was fine with them at first, but I honestly do not love these. They're not uncomfortable, but they are kind of weird looking (they literally look like you shrunk your tidy-whities and stuck them on your feet) and the pads on the ball of the foot are small and pretty thin. Turning is easy but not *great* with these on, as the pads cover so little area.
Another thing I don't like is that they slide around quite a bit when you're dancing.
These also run a little small, so buyer be warned! I wear a street size 7.5-8, so according to the sizing chart I would be a medium, but the medium was too tight and so I bought a large, which fit a little better. What is important is the WIDTH of your foot, not the length, so if you're unsure, you might want to go to the store and get fitted rather than buying online.

05/30/2013The size range as stated is perfect fit for every full foot size change I've had. My only beef is that if you are between sizes and go smaller, they are destroyed in about 30-35 hours of class. As long as they fit right, you can get a few more out of them.

03/16/2013Super comfy!! These work fair with my turns! Remeber, they do have to stretch out alittle so they don't seem too tight, just wear them around your house or wear them for dance every modern or lyrical session. However, they ripped and completely fell apart the padding is ripping and the mesh or the clearer material ripped. I would make it a bit thicker and the exception for having them for less then almost a year or so I would exuse the padding coming off. But, under all of that I love theses "FootUndeez"!!!!

10/29/2012These shoes run very small. I ordered two sizes up, I am a 7.5 and I ordered an XL which still doesn't fit quite right. The shoe cuts into my pinky toe, I don't wear them for too long, however the shoes do a wonderful job in letting you glide in your pirouettes. I am part of a dance company and dance 5-6 days a week. Each day ranging from an hour to 5-6 hours, thus needless to say, these shoes did not last me very long. They became worn out after a month.

10/13/2012I got these a couple weeks ago for my modern/lyrical class because I was having trouble turning in bare feet. But once I put these on they let me turn with such comfort! I found myself constantly having to fix them by pulling them into the right place again, but that might just be because of how most foot undies are made. I love this product, I have nude!

10/08/2012I bought a pair of foot undeez, wore them for one performance, and never touched them again. Because they only have one thong between the toes, like a flip-flop, they twist and pull and irritate between my first two toes. The ball of the foot is poorly placed for my feet, so when I'm on demi-pointe, only half of the cushioned sole lines up with the part of my foot that bears weight. It helped me turn and reduced floor burn, but there are many other, more comfortable options.
While Foot Undeez are more affordable than some of the other barefoot dance shoe options, I find that they're not worth the discomfort. I would get better use of my dollars on a more expensive, more comfortable product like Dance Paws.

07/21/2012I just got these not too long ago, and when I wore these to my first contemporary class they kept on slipping off. I got the black ones in a large even though my street shoe size is an 8.5. 07/08/2012I have had my nude footundeez for three Contemporary classes. I am street shoe size eight and had to get a large, which is recommended for sizes 9-10.5. 06/10/2012These paws are amazing! They are really comfortable, breathable, and really camolflauge to the skin onstage. I only gave it four stars for durability because the threads on the bottom of them started to come undone after four classes. The paw pad stayed on the paw and the thread doesn't bother me. It can be easily snipped off.

11/25/2011This is awesome. I'm not allowed to wear socks in my modern classes, so I use these and they help me A LOT! I really love them and they are comfortable. Sometimes I forget that I am wearing them!
They can also be used in ballet shoes if the bottoms of your feet are sore from being on demi-pointe for too long.
These help me turn and jump and dance. On top that, they are barely noticeable on stage.
Awesome product. Have fun buying the colored ones for normal classes and the nude ones for shows!
I own the nude, the pink polka doted ones and the heart pattern ones.

Upstate Ny,FootUndeez are great at first! They are light weight and give great turning support for lyrical, contemporary, or jazz, but within a couple weeks of wearing them, they wore out, ripped, and the padding began to tear off. I also find them to slightly shift, but that might just be the shape of my foot to cause that. I have tried mediums and larges and they both wear out extremely easy! I still use them in shows and competition but I stopped wearing them to class only because they wear out so easily. So if you do decide to get these for a performance, only practice with them a couple of times.

Southport, Nc,I've used these shoes for modern/lyrical/contemporary/jazz classes for the past 3-4 years and I've been pretty impressed. My first pair the sides had ripped but I'm pretty sure that is what happens over time with them. They are a little tight when you first get them, but once your feet are used to them, they're rather comfortable. I would recommend these to anyone for any dance class if you don't feel like wearing full on shoes because they're great for turning so you don't rip/tear up your feet like when dancing barefoot, plus with your heel exposed you get nice traction with the flooring as well. Whoever decided to make these shoes are genius, because I haven't been to a single convention/competition where someone isn't wearing them! Thank you Capezio!

Coral Springs, Fl,The design of these in general does not work for me. The patches on the bottoms are in a weird position so that I feel the ball of my foot half on and half off the suede patch. I had no issue with them twisting around, which confirms that I was fit properly. I'll stick with my foot thong in a pinch or just go barefoot.

10/30/2009I have a couple pair of these shoes, and have been using them for a few years. They do come in several unique colors and patterns but they are not worth the money. FootUndeez do not cover all of the ball of your foot making them very hard to turn with. They also "twist" while on the foot, so the sole patches end up on the side of your foot, and these shoes rip very easily. I do not recommend these, and know a better alternative would be Dance Paws, or Foot Mittens.

10/17/2009I was expecting quite a bit from these and they didn't even last me a week! I thought I'd try them although I work mainly in bare feet and have built up some callous under the soles of my feet. However, these were quite the disappointment; after my first class, the stitching on the bottom of the FootUndeez were coming apart already. Not only this but the entire pad would twist from side to side on my foot and, sometimes, hinder my pirouettes. Will definitely look at alternatives or just keep dancing barefoot

10/12/2009I feel somewhat indifferent about them. They don't last very long and fall apart relatively quickly. But I suppose it depends how much you dance in them. I very much prefer actual dance paws over the undeez, but these are much cheaper. So I usually opt for these even though they don't last as long. It's a horse of piece. If you are looking for something that doesn't need to last for a long time, this is the cheaper way to go.

07/03/2009I don't dance too much anymore (about 1 hour a week) but I needed a foot thong, so I ordered these since they were cheap, compared to other modern shoes. Within the month, the pads on the bottom fell off and the mesh ripped, even though the shoe actually felt too big. I would recommend investing in dancepaws, they'll last you much longer.

Idaho,I bought these for one dance class I had that was only one day a week. I only wore them a few times to the class and used them to perform a solo on a gym floor. They ripped and got holes in them really easily. They were really useful for turning and gave the right amount of friction so you don't slip or stick. I liked them a lot but they did not last long at all. They especially don't last if they are too small. I also have dance paws and they are less comfortable but do the same job and have so far lasted longer.

New York,I purchased the striped Foot Undeez for my daughter's lyrical class. She loves them, and we recently added the glow in the dark skulls (which really do glow!) She absolutely loves them. We just bought the nude color for her recital, but they are much tighter than the printed ones, so we went up a size (she wears a womans 5 and normally buy an adult M). She has had the striped ones since August, no rips, no sliding, and no stretching out, and she wears them for about 4-5 hours each week. We would highly recommend them for someone who loves to stand out from the rest of the class!

03/31/2009I gave the FootUndeez a 3 because they look very good and are comfortable. Be careful to get the right size, they will be painful if too small. One of the things that I hated about these: I wore them for jazz once and never again because after running a dance again and again I was having to continuously adjust them. After walking, turning, and dancing, they move towards the side of your foot so you lose your balance when turning because of the misaligned pads. I would not suggest these.

Massachusetts,These are the first pair of toe pads that I have ever had and I am very pleased with them so far. I was concerned about them being too tight or too loose, but they are very comfortable. 01/31/2009These things make turning SO hard! They also have no cushioning for your ankles, so when you come down from a jump, you can hurt yourself. They fall off your feet even when you have the right size, and even though I wear mine as little as possible, they fall apart. If I could give these things 0 stars, I would!

01/18/2009They tear easily, don't stay in place and run small so they cut into your foot, especially the pinkie. Very cheaply made.

Oregon,I love how they look, but I just cannot keep them on my feet. I bought them for the wood floor we belly dance on and they just keep slipping off my feet, so I've given up on them and will try to find something that covers more of my foot with a heel strap, possibly.

12/09/2008These were great shoes, but not meant to be for more than half a year. I have an 8 size foot, and ordered adult medium. They ripped really easily. If you order them, order ADULT LARGE they do not rip, and will last longer!!!

South Carolina,These looked so cute on line and 2 of my friends have them. But yesterday one of my friend's Footundeez ripped and what I hate about them is that I was at a dance competition yesterday and while I was dancing I could feel them ripping. Then in the middle of the dance it came off my foot because the seam on them ripped. So I had to dance with one on and one off. Thanks to footundeez it was toataly embarrassing. So I'm going to stick with dance foot paws. (They are much more durable.) Footundeez, you need to improve your product because they are so cute and I'm sure everyone wants to buy them but it's really just a rip off!

10/22/2008The shoes were OK. They tend to bother the ball of my foot after a lot of turning?! The bottom also began to twist and bunch up.

Indiana,I love these. I've had mine for 2 1/2 years and only today did I get a hole in them. However, I don't do more than four classes so that may be the case. But I would definitely recommend these. They're so comfortable, too.

Beverly Hills, Ca,These are wonderful! At first I was skeptical as to whether or not they were worth the money, but once you start dancing in them, you really start to like them. I could do fouette turns in them too.
As for the sizing, I'm an 8 and I got a Large because the Mediums were a little too snug, where as the large were snug, but not too tight.

09/06/2008These are very comfortable once you wear them a little bit. At first I thought they weren't going to work out because I wasn't used to having anything between my toes. After wearing them at dance once, I was used to them and love them now.

Santa Fe, Nm,These are really awesome. They keep my feet from sticking to the floor when trying to turn - while still giving me control over the movement! I highly recommend Footundeez.

Texas,They look good and are great for dancing. Especially when you don't exactly feel like wearing shoes. There is only one minor problem: I use a 7 1/2 in shoe, and I actually have a narrow foot, they are just a little tight. I ordered the medium, they make my toes look like little sausages... If you like them loose, order a size up from what the size chart says. But I think it's good because they don't move around or slide off when I'm dancing. I would recommend these to everyone! BUY THEM!

08/21/2008Get a few sizes bigger than what the size chart says. I couldn't even get mine on my feet! I ordered a petite size, because my regular shoe size is a 4 1/2, but I'm going to exchange them for a medium or large, because that's what my friend has.

Texas,I thought these were the most adorable little things in the world, so I bought a pair...I used them during a camp (which had 9 hour days) and they ripped to shreds by the end of the week. And whenever they were usable, they rubbed between my toes a lot.

08/16/2008I got these a while ago and the mesh wears out VERY FAST. You also want to get a little smaller size so that they stay on your feet when you do turns.

Fort Wayne, In,I wrote a review about these before in April, but I have changed my rating on these now. I absolutely love them. They are so comfortable. When I do pirouettes though, it's sometimes hard to turn in them. I sometimes just wear one on the foot I turn on the most. It works for me and some of my friends I dance with. I love these and mine haven't ripped yet and I have had mine for 1 year.

Utah,I loved them until the other day I put them on and they both had big holes in them. They rip so easily and I have only had them for like two months. So they are great but I am disappointed with how fast they ripped.

Georgia,Just was at dress rehearsal. Ballet folks had paws and modern had undeez. Modern folk, undeez wearers, win. Paws users were constantly shifting their shoes and missing turns; undeez were secure with their footwear.

Georgia,My daughter has a narrow foot, my son wide. Based on all of the reviews, I ordered exact size for my daughter and one size up for my son. Hers were way too tight(her little toe almost turned purple). His fit like a glove. Definitely order at least one size larger.

Santa Fe, Nm,I love my footundeez. I use them for everything. Being a general barefoot sort, I tend to rip up the balls of my feet. They're great inside shoes, after a day of dancing just to let your skin heal. Also, (less bulky inside shoes/sandals than dance paws).

Sumner, Wa,FootUndeez are comfy and fun to dance in. I have had my pair for 6 months and they are just starting to get gross. The only thing that bugs me about these is that they ride up slightly when you dance. Overall though, they are pretty nice.

Rincon, Ga,If you are a serious dancer, don't buy these. They tear up so easily and I don't even do that much stuff to cause them to tear up. They got huge holes in them by the second week. Don't get them! It is A WASTE OF MONEY!

Maryland,I really like these but they fall apart kinda fast, but that's OK. They're so cheap, you can buy a few per year. I wear them for modern and lyrical. The sizing chart is correct for this item. I wear a 10 wide so I decided to get a size bigger (an XL). That was a mistake. They stretch out a lot so I am gonna buy them in a large next time. Another con of this is if you don't point your feet, it looks horrendous on stage! But overall, they are a good item.

California,I don't like dancing barefoot and I hate dancing in shoes and socks are too slippery, so these are just perfect. When I first started wearing them, I got blisters on my big toe which eventually turned into calluses. I love them and can even do a triple pirouette in them now. At first they seemed really tight on my feet but now they feel great!

New Jersey,Mine didn't rip! I've had them for four months, dancing modern once a week, and they're fine. They help with turns and leaps. Mine are a little tight, though. I'm a size 7 and got an adult small. Besides that, they're fine!

05/30/2007I absolutely love these! You can grip the floor so much better and get much higher on your leaps and jumps. It is like dancing barefoot except it is much easier to turn. These were a great buy! I love them!!!

05/18/2007I love these shoes. I use them in class sometimes and when I do lyrical stuff. The only thing though, is that I go through shoes like I go through food, so I have to replace mine quite often, because they rip around the soles. Other than that, they are really nice to have. They make turning very easy. Good buy!

Kent, Wa,Maybe if you are a not-so- trained dancer, and don't require much hard core dancing in these, buy them. Otherwise, they are a waste of your money. They literally FALL APART within a few time's use. I would recommend "dance paws" over these any day. They are much more expensive, but they last a longggg time.

Washington,I love these shoes! It's like dancing barefoot, but a lot easier :) I have had these for about 8 months and they just started to rip, but the bottom pads did start to rip off earlier, but the reinforcement stitching helped! I wear these all the time during ballet and lyrical! I do encourage you to buy them, but buy an extra pair for shows; they do get very dirty :)

California,I had to buy these for my lyrical dance this summer, and I thought they were really cool. I tried them out for one class, doing my dance, and they got really dirty and have a tiny rip in them and the bottom cushions were falling off. I might have to buy new ones and not use them until the performance. I might have to see how they hold up.

New York,I went to my dance shop and bought them, and in two months, they ripped. Then, I went somewhere else and the lady said they ripped because they were too small. The size I had was a M and I got an XL and they do not rip if you have the right size. I love these shoes!!!

02/20/2007These worked great for me. I didn't wear them for long periods of time though. We used them in the "Arabian" dance in our nutcracker. They worked wonderfully! You couldn't see them at all from the audience. You feel like you're dancing barefoot, but you can slide into the splits without hurting your foot. I agree with the other reviews though; they probably aren't great if you're strictly a modern dancer- they probably would wear out quickly, but if you just need them for something short like this, they're awesome! They're hilarious too- they do look like underewear!

California,These shoes are very crummy. They obviously cannot stand up to the standards of an real professional modern dancer. I am talking real modern people, leaps, turns, etc. . . . After buying these and using them for the first time, within 1 hr 45 mins, the pads were ripping off, the sides were ripped, everything was ripping. Don't buy these, it's not worth it. I am going to try the dance paws.

Oregon,FootUndeez are great for jumps. They really do make you go higher. I do however recommend that you get them in a bigger size than the chart says. Mine are just about too small, but they are a good price for what they are so it is no trouble to get new ones. They do rip easily, so if you are planning on dancing in them for long periods of time, I suggest that you get a different product.

12/06/2006They twist around, yet for me, they didn't start to tear until 3 months, then again I have a highly arched foot. They are comfy and I like that they come in different colors to match your skin color.

12/01/2006They can look cute under other shoes, but when I actually used them, they started to tear after about an hour of class, and twist around. The "padding" didn't exactly cover the right parts of my feet, so turning was hindered and it was hard to do multiple turns. I'd try the dance paws, instead.

11/30/2006I just received my Foot Undeez two days ago and I LOVE THEM! They are extremely comfortable and I love wearing them with other shoes over them. Palm Springs, Ca,I bought these about a year ago when I went on pointe. These really help lift you in leaps, though obviously don't protect your arch. They started fraying and the elastic got too stretched out.. but that was after a year and a half! I highly recommend these if you are looking for lift.

Texas,These are just okay...I really liked them at first, but after about four classes, the stitching started to come out. Also, they tend to slip in pirouettes and leave the ball of the foot slightly uncovered, which can be a bit painful.

10/06/2006I wouldn't suggest buying these shoes if you dance more than a couple days a week.... I went through like 10 pairs just last season. They're great shoes but don't last long at all. Georgia,These shoes are great for modern and are so cute because they look like little underwear for your feet! But after wearing them three times they ripped - not the seam, the mesh! So I had to sew it back together.
Also, I suggest getting a size larger than you usually need, because they fit tightly and will rip if they are too tight.

Puyallup, Wa,I really like these great shoes by Capezio! (they never disappoint me) They are as snug as Dance Paws, but they are shorter so, they are less noticeable on stage. The only thing I would fix about them is that the sole on the bottom isn't as close to the toes as Dance Paws are, so if you're up on the full ball of your foot, you're off of the sole. Other than that, LOVE 'UM!
