So I received this as a birthday present and the fit is not bad it is just wide, and I ordered a small. However I just paired it with a thin sequin belt and it solved the problem. Although I would recommend washing/rinsing it before use if you are going to use it with another color and do not worry if you see color in the water, its just the excess dye that was not able to be steamed or set into the garment! Just in case, I recommend this because if not depending on that your base is the colors might faintly bleed or stain on a lighter color. Just to be clear its not only this item in particular, its just any hand dyed item (I hand dye worship dance instruments so I have experienced this first hand, so just trust me on this one, it does not always happen but sometimes it does and it can be frustrating)
At first I ordered a medium and it was not huge but it was a little oversized. Medium would fit women who are more endowed in the front. I returned it and ordered a small and it fits okay, the arm holes were a bit too up in my arm pits for my liking but it fits a lot better and looks great :)
While I love this tunic and find it very comfortable to dance in, I found the fit frustrating. The medium was too big and the small was too small. I ended up altering the medium to fit. After that, it provided an easy, modest appearance. I purchased the red/purple combination. I wore it over a white dress and discovered that the red dye left pink stains on the dress. It works well over a red leotard, but be careful when pairing it with other colors.
