    Too heavy

    by: musedesigns - 02/23/2013

    Comfort: 1 star rating

    Durability: 3 star rating

As a costumer, I have had this tutu handed to me by a good many dancers wanting me to 'fix it'. While it has a number of interesting features, it is far too heavy and tends to fight the dancer during turns, especially if the dancer is slight in frame. The decorations are quite awful, as the previous poster noted; they consist of random glitter and acrylic rhinestones. Not worth the money.

Although I will begin with saying this tutu is very much quality in the sewing and durability it completely lacks in the "beauty aspect" and embellishments and overall look given in the misleading picture provided. If I knew to expect what I was going to receive perhaps I wouldn't be so aggravated knowing it's still a good deal for the quality of the tutu itself. buuuuttttt....What you see in the picture above is not what's actually on the tutu, what clearly seems to be beadwork or some decal is actually a bunch a poorly put on glitter surrounded by low quality rhinestone's that a large quantity had already fallen off but when I just brushed my hand over them It was apparent that by the end of my performance coming I'll most likely will sling a large number off into the audience :). Also a better description should really be provided you cannot tell the colors of the stones it looks like perhaps blue and AB stones but there are a large mixture of random colors so I look forward to having to replace them. In the end I'm the buyer and it's my own fault just would hope for the next person they will have a better idea of what there actually getting.

  • I am measuring my teenage dancer for the Sansha Professional stage tutu. How do I measure her torso.

    by: Kimgo (05/21/2013)

A torso measurement is half of a girth measurement. You start with a tape measurer at the top of one shoulder, take it down the front of the body, between the legs, up her backside and all the way back up to the same point on the same shoulder you started at. Its like doing a lateral circle of her torso area. Then you take that measurement and divide it by 2, as the "torso" measurement Sansha lists is actually a 1/2 torso.
