maybe a 7 so that you can grow into them, but the sizing is normal so that should be great - Juju123 (07/10/2015)

Dancer421198 03/04/2015 Age: 17 or under Is the drawstring of this shoe a piece of elastic that acts as one? Or is it an actual drawstring you tie?
The drawstrings have to be tied and they are elastic.- DDS Customer Service (03/18/2015)
It actually has a drawsteing that you tie, and it tucks/ hides nicely under the shoe. - Socks (09/08/2015)

SarahBD 09/14/2014 Age: 17 or under I wear a size 7, but I don't want the suggested sizing to not be completely true. Has anyone else bought the suggest 2-2 1/2 sizes smaller? Does the suggested fitting run true?
The sizing suggestion for this shoe is to order 2.5-3.0 sizes smaller than your street shoe size. Please note, this is intended as a guide line and cannot be guaranteed. Please do not hesitate to contact customer service at 1-800-328-7107 for more information.- DDS Customer Service (09/15/2014)
Yes. I wear a 7.5N in street shoes and the 5.5A fit perfectly. - Bballet (03/10/2015)

Kimmie Sue 05/27/2013 Va Age: 35 to 44 my son wants to try these in black because his friend recommended them. He is a european 41 in other ballet shoes. what size should we order?
Typically a European 41 is equivalent to a womens size 10.5. For this shoe you want to order 2.5 to 3 sizes down from street shoe. This would leave him at around a size 8.0 or 7.5. Unfortunately though we cannot guarantee sizing.- DDS Customer Service (05/28/2013)

Val 03/20/2013 My grand daughter is currently in a child size 1.5. Would her next size be the women's size 2? I ask because of the fitting suggestion about going down on the adult sizes. Thank you for your responses.
If she is a size 1.5 child then she would be a size 3.5 in adult. The sizing on this item states to go 2.5-3.0 sizes smaller than street. The size 2 adult would be too large for her. You would need to order SD11C in a size 1.5. This states to order the same as street for the child shoe.- DDS Customer Service (03/20/2013)

Elastics are pre sewn at the heel- DDS Customer Service (12/28/2012)
No. I wouldn't purchase a ballet slipper that I couldn't fit to the shape of my daughter's feet. - Kareyjo (02/22/2013)

A,B,C and D has to do with the width of the shoe.. ranging from narrow to wide.- DDS Customer Service (11/27/2012)
The A, B, C and D stands for the width of the ballet shoe. I have rather wide feet and I wear a C width. A would be Small and D would be rather Large. - Ballerinaalice (08/25/2014)
