    MY FAVORITE POINTE SHOES

I've been wearing these shoes for the just over a year now, and I absolutely love them!! I think that I have gone through 6 or 7 pairs, and that is dancing on pointe 3 days a week and taking a summer intensive. This shoe breaks in wonderfully (even better if you spray water where you want them to break in as you dance!) , but you do have to jet glue the box after a little while, for it starts to become soft. I wear a 6 in street shoes, and order a 4 1/2 X in these because I feel that the 4 is a little too snug, and my big toe hits the box. The only complaint that I have about this shoe is that there are sooo many different makers, and you cannot choose which maker you get. I order about 3 pairs if I am going to keep 1, and send the other 2 back. (unless they are all good makers, of course). overall, i LOVE THESE SHOES!!

I love that these shoes already come with all of my favorite Freed variations, but, my only complaint is that the platform got incredibly soft incredibly fast. I understand that quick break in is the point of Freeds, but I've worn the stock Freeds and the Wing blocks too and NEVER had the platform go this fast (less than halfway through class). The rest of the shoe held up ok. These are great, but if you're going to use these, you'd better stock up on jet glue too.

After wearing special order Freed Classic and Bloch Synergy and Alpha shoes for several years, I never found an off the shelf shoe that satisfied me. This shoe is not perfect. The sides and back are still too high. The shank remains a bit too long. But, it works well enough. Though the box is "reinforced" compared with regular Freed Classic shoes, I would not classify this shoes as a student shoe. Rather, it feels more like a reinforced performance shoe. The box get softer faster than a student shoe even with Jet Glue, as does the shank. Still, I love that they break in easily, are quiet and look beautiful. I wear a 6.5 B women's street shoe and wear a 4.5XX (with a medium thin pad) in most of the makers. I would gladly pay a premium to select a preferred maker.

    LOVE, LOVE, LOVE

I love them. They are so so comfortable. I've had Blochs, Suffolks, Capezio, and Grishko. They were my first pair of Freeds and I adore them! They make your feet look really good too! I recommend them!

    THEY WERE OK

These were my first pair of Pointe Shoes! They were really comfy and everything and easy to dance but they broke in so quick! I could bend them completely! But I still loved them as they were extremely comfy!!!

    LOVE THEM

I've worn Freed studios and Gaynors for a long time. The studios were hard to balance in but made my feet look good. The Gaynors were really easy to balance in but made my feet look bad. These classic Freeds are easy to balance in and make my feet look great. The shank was a little soft but that's ok. I like a soft shank. These are great for performances when you need to break-in a shoe quick. I absolutely love them !

    SO MUCH BETTER!

I have worn the Freed wing blocks before and have not been the best shoe for me. Even though they are my favorite type of pointe shoe out of all the other ones that I have tried. I thought that I would try these because they are like the wing blocks but yet different. I like how they look on my feet so much better than the wing blocks. I plan to continue wearing this shoe.

    EXCELLENT SHOE

I've been wearing these shoes for a good 3-4 months now, and I'm very impressed. These shoes are comfortable and stay on my foot with little complications. I do, however, cut the shank on these so that the arch is more defined, but it's easy to make do without a cut shank, as well. Depending on the pair/maker of the shoes, the box can die out rather quickly, but these shoes are still worthwhile regardless.

is the 5D in a studio 2 be the same as a 5X in the classic pros?

Being that both shoes are Freed with the same size and equivalent width, they should fit similarly.

Are there makers for this specific Freed?

I know certain types of Freeds have makers, and I wasn't sure if the Classic Professionals do. So just to check. Thank you in advanced.

There are specific makers, however we do not take maker request.
