GREAT VALUE BUT CHECK SIZE CHART

Great value but make sure you check the sizing chart. Not your dancers normal shoe size. My daughter wears a women’s 9 shoe and we had to get a their size 11

    POOR QUALITY

These ballet shoes run small. The pair I received did not have the front straps sewn to the shoe. I could not comment on the comfort since they were too small for my daughter. She takes a size 5 in children's shoes and a size 9 (adult size) in these shoes were too small. I am taking the chance to re order a size 10 and is hoping that the straps will come sewn this time.

    COMFORTABLE AND PRETTY

Note: I have marked this product as true to size, since I have an unusually short and wide foot, with a high arch. You may still want to size up. These shoes in 7W fit me perfectly, with just enough toe room to not pinch. The pink color is very pleasant, not washed out and not too bright. In the past I have only used Sansha Pro 1C. The padding on the Tendu shoes seems to be a little thicker. Not pictured in the product image are the ties, which helps to create a much better fit. Overall, I found these to be a pleasant variation from Sansha Pro, and I am enjoying these shoes.

4 SIZES TOO SMALL IN US WOMEN SIZE'S

I read a previous review where it said these shoes ran small, so I ordered 2 sizes bigger. It turns out the shoes were actually 4 !! sizes too small because i could barely fit them on and my toes were extremely scrunched!!! Ouch! Buyer beware; if you are a US size adult woman, go at least 3-4 sizes bigger.

    TRIPLE CHECK

I am taking very basic ballet, modern, street jazz, and hip hop classes at my performing arts high school. I am new to the dance world and therefore did not know that sizes varied by brand tremendously. I am having to return these shoes, meaning I have to sit out of class waiting for them to arrive for about a week because the sixing is off by about three US sizes. I could see they were too small as soon as I opened the package, and never even tried them on. For very serious dancers, checking the sizing would be a no brainer, but for the recreational dancer just looking for new shoes, we're ignorant of brand specialized sizing. I admit my review and rating is my fault, but it is also very inconvenient.

Yes, the elastic straps on these slippers is pre-sewn.

    About sizes

I am wearing 11 W, Sansha split sole canvas ballet slippers at this time. I wear a 101/2 running shoe that is average width, not narrow. My European shoes are usually size 41 unless they have pointed toes, sometimes in that case I wear a size 42 shoe. I like to have room in my toes in my canvas shoes so that I can use my feet. What size Sansha split sole canvas ballet shoe would you recommend if I am looking for more toe room? I am thinking of moving move to a 12.

Thank you for contacting us. The sizing for these shoes is similar to the Sansha split sole canvas shoes, the style S1C. If you wear a size 11 W on these shoes, we recommend you order the same on the S9C.

Which should be the correct size for a canvas shoe like this?

The size chart converts a "5.5-6.0" size to a 7, but in the previous queston said that we shouls add approx 3 numbers to find a correct size to my children. One of them is 6 woman, the other one is 2. I need to find some canvas asap! Please what size I need to choose?

For your child in the 2.0, you will first need to convert to adult sizing by adding two sizes. This would mean she is an adult 4.0. Since Sansha requires you follow their sizing chart, your child in the size 6.0 should order a size 7.0, and your child in the size 4.0 should order a size 5.0. Not all ballet slippers will fit like this, so please make sure to pay attention to the suggested fitting on each item. Again, this is the recommendation since we cannot guarantee sizing.

Convert sizing for an older child's use?

Hello, How would I correctly convert the adult shoe sizing shown here so as to order well fitting ballet slippers for our daughter? She is a size 2.5 to 3 in big kids' street shoe sizes and her foot tends to be wide at the top. I found some sizing conversion guidelines on a different website and those guidelines suggested subtracting 2 sizes from the women's shoe size to come up with the correct child's size for street shoes. Will that method work correctly to get the correct size in this particular ballet slipper? And will I still need to select the Wide width in order to get the best fit? Thanks!

For a 2.5 or 3.0 you would first convert the shoe by adding 2. This would make her equivalent to an adult 4.5 or 5.0. However, Sansha runs on the small side so you would actually want to order a size 6.0 to have it be equivalent to that 4.5 or 5.0. Also, if your child does not regularly wear wide street shoes I would not recommend ordering a wide ballet shoe. Though we cannot guarantee sizing, that is our best recommendation.

    are the elastic sewed on?

Like do these ballet shoes already have elastics sewed on or do we have to do it ourselves?

The elastics on these slippers are pre-sewn.
