The Ovation pointe shoe works well for advanced or professional dancers. The "Ovation" features a fully hand sticked leather sole, 3/4 shank, Whisper quiet toe, elastic drawstring and is flexible through demi-pointe position. The wide square box and flat platform is good for dancers with wider feet or squared toes. Attached elastic, Ribbons not included
These shoes are GREAT! I have high arches & small narrow feet. The shanks are steel so I never have to worry about them breaking. I have never had a squeaking problem. They are actually quiet. I am an advanced dancer in a pre-professional ballet company. The box lasts for about a month but the shoe is cheap enough to replace regularly. Never had a problem getting up on the box. On stage you can't tell an expensive shoe from a cheap one. This is my 5th pair & I want to continue with them.
I got these shoes for my second year and they were HORRIBLE. I have a high arch, and a small foot, so when I first tried them on, they looked really nice, but they never get softer, and they are cheap in quality.
These were my first pair of pointe shoes ever. They were okay. I broke in the box VERY easily, but I couldn't break-in the shank, but I already have a good arch and strong feet so it kinda helped. I would say they are okay because I was actually fitted wrong, and that these shoes didn't fit right. But I had them for about a year, and I even danced in them when they were dead, and I didn't get a blister, or damage anything. Which makes it an okay shoe because it was stable. But the box gets broken in too easily, which makes it get dead faster.
