Are these sized similarly to the Sansha American Soft toed shoes?

This sizing on this shoe does run similarly to the Sansha American. Please refer to the sizing tab in the product information. This will give you a chart advising what size to order based on your street shoe size.

    sizing

I noticed in sansha pointe shoes, the size for a 6.5-7 is a 9. But in sansha regular shoes such as ballet shoes, the sizing for 6.5-7 is an 8. Is the sizing different from pointe shoes to ballet shoes just to make room for toe pads and such? im wondering bc I have sansha ballet shoes size 8, and they fit perfectly, but if I get sansha pointe shoes and they fit like the ballet shoes, I know there will be no room for my toe pads.

All of the shoes are individually sized, although it is the same brand it may have different fitting because it is a different shoe. i would suggest ordering based upon the sizing chart for that specific item.
    - DDS Customer Service (03/13/2014)

I would go with the 8. I saw from another review to choose a size smaller than it says. I went with the size smaller and it fits great! - Briannasky (10/05/2015)

What does the W and X stand for when sizing??

The W stands for wide width, and X stands for extra wide width. We highly recommend that you be sized for pointe shoes by a professional before ordering online. Wearing the wrong size shoe can result in injury.

    Sizing

I'm currently in the Bloch Balance European in a size 7 4X. I have been wearing these for several years and I've tried switching a few times but nothing has worked out in the past. I have a wider foot and shorter toes. Would this be an acceptable shoe for me to try and if so what size would I most likely fit in?

The Etudes pointe shoe sizing is based on your street shoe size. Please contact Customer Service so that we can assist you with sizing for these shoes.

    width

I have Russian pointe shoes now, but they get to be expensive so I am looking for a cheaper alternative. I get a width 4 in the Russian pointe, so I was wondering if I should get medium or wide for these pointe shoes?

Based on the width you normally take in Russian Pointe shoes, I would recommend a W width.

Is this shoe good for my foot?

I have a wide foot with small chubby toes and a medium arch. And i have a foot with overall thickness. Is this a good shoe for me?

This shoe doe have a square and wide box. It is also available in an X width, which does tend to be better for wide thick feet.
