Ordered my regular street size canvas dance sneaker. Received shoes at least two sizes too small.

Gracie22005/01/2015COMFORTABLE LIGHTWEIGHT SHOE
This is a comfortable, lightweight shoe that works well for many purposes. I wear a narrow 9.5 US street shoe and the size suggestion of a half size up (size 10 for me) is perfect.

It was a bit narrow. The fit was not as snug as other bloch model shoes. They were comfortable but don't look very good. They look wrinkled and are a little big but a smaller size would have been too narrow.

Tapteacher08/22/2013COMFORTABLE BUT GAP AT THE ANKLE/TOP
My street shoe size is a 6 and I bought these in a 6.5. They fit fine in length and they are comfortable. I teach 3+ hours/day so I was looking for something with a bit more support and traction as my studio floor is slippery. I didn't want to go back to my Bloch jazz sneakers because I've required my high school students to purchase ballet or jazz shoes and they'd complain "you get to wear sneakers..."! The traction pads on the bottom are decent but not amazing. I'm curious to try these on Marley. On wood, they are adequate. They're good looking, but my big complaint is that they are cut really wide at the ankle/top of foot. They gap and while this doesn't affect functionality, I wouldn't want that look for anything performance related. I've been wearing them only 2 wks so I don't know about durability yet.

MissAnnaADV05/27/2013MY FAVORITE TEACHING SHOE!
I teach many hours a day. I have found these to be my favorite show! Super comfortable but still shows some articulation of the foot. It is a great balance between a jazz shoe and a traditional jazz sneaker. The only problem is the canvas begins to wear out in the heel, but I have had these for a year and wear them 5x a week for 6+ hours a day, so the durability isn't an issue... plus I was wearing these on a non traditional dance surface up until a few months ago. My new ones I got 2 months ago (so I could have them in another color) show no sign of wear.

Rosette03/02/2013GOOD SHOES FOR JUMPING
I needed something similar to a jazz shoe but with more protection for my feet on jumps, and these fit the bill. They are very comfortable, and the socklining is nice and soft. I wear a 6.5 and the 7 fits well.
These are extremely pricey for canvas shoes, next time I will probably order the leather since it is only a few dollars more.

Themba08/23/2012COMFORTABLE FOR MY SORE FEET!
I had bunion surgery a year ago and have not been able to dance since. I will be returning to ballet next month and I wanted a shoe that could act as a ballet shoe, but give me the support and cushioning of a sneaker or jazz shoe. This is it! They are very comfortable, with a nice arch support and stretch to accomodate my wide feet. Their lightweight structure allows for pointing toes. I wear 8.5 W in street shoes and I ordered a 9.5 in these, because I wanted a lot of extra room. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they are kind of digging into my achilles. But I have a feeling they will soften up in that area as I break them in.

I wish the website had pictures of the different colors. I ordered white and needed them to be solid. Instead, these have black on them and I cannot keep them. Also, my daughter wears a 3.5. I ordered 4.5 and her toes are at the very end. She loved the feel of them and they seem durable and comfortable. I think they would work great of you order about 1.5 sizes up and if you knew what color you were getting.

Are these padded?
What is the padding like, especially in the forefoot?
This item does not come with any padding on the inside of shoe. There is padding on the bottom of shoe. Please visit Blochworld.com to see more pictures for this item. - DDS Customer Service (02/25/2013)
I find it to be adequate but not particularly "squishy" or luxurious. More than a straight jazz shoe, but less padding on the ball of the foot than a jazz sneaker. In many ways, I think this is exactly as described, a "transition shoe" between those two styles. - Tapteacher (08/22/2013)
