This is a comfortable, breathable shoe that works great for dancing, but can also be worn outside as a fun, casual slip-on shoe. The only thing I didn't like was the long length of the laces, which looked funky when I left them as they were. I thought about cutting them, but instead took off the plastic toggles and tied the laces like a tennis shoe so they're no longer flopping around.
I wear a US 9.5 narrow street shoe and the 9.5 in this shoe fits perfectly. I wouldn't recommend ordering up a size, as it suggests. The toe is more tapered, but that works perfectly with the shape of my toes.

KnittinKttn09/05/2014MEH... NT REALLY WHAT I EXPECTED
First off, *do not* order one size larger than your street shoe. I wear a 9, ordered a 10, and when they arrived, they were falling off my feet they were so big. Also, they were much thinner than I anticipated, and felt like they provided zero support. They were incredibly lightweight, which is what I was going for, but felt I could get more support with a slightly sturdier sneaker.

teachna07/21/2014RUNS VERY SMALL
I ordered these for my 12 year old son for a musical theater production. His street shoe size is 6. I ordered a 6, but his foot would not go into it. I called customer service and they said to go to an 8...each size difference is about 1/2 inch in room. The 8's are a great fit. So in other words...I had to go up 2 sizes for him.
Shoe runs long and narrow. Shoe cannot withstand being worn outside - not good for football halftime performances for dance teams. Shoe bottom also sticks to gym floors.

Tapteacher08/22/2013ADEQUATE FOR SOME PURPOSES
I offered this option for some of my high school students for whom cost is a huge factor. Sizing is a big problem. I have one freshman girl who wears a 2 so we ordered the Petite size and it's too small, but another girl who wears a 6 ordered (as suggested) a Medium and it's fine. It seems the sizing is not quite specific enough. Having seen them up close now, I'm not optimistic about the durability. They remind me very much of a gymnastic competition type slipper and calling them a "jazz shoe" is stretching reality a bit, in my opinion. The sole and sides of the foot are a spandex, stretchy fabric and there is a soft suede pad underneath. The way they look in the photo made me think they were more shoe-like. I think they're more slipper-like. Honestly, for many of my students the difference between a $10 pair and a $16 pair (ordered through my teacher discount) was important enough to choose these, but I wouldn't recommend them if that price difference isn't an issue for you.

bumbleberry508/05/2013WARNING... THEY LOOK LIKE WATER SHOES, BUT...
They're very comfortable!
They look like water shoes in person lol
They're very lightweight, it's like you don't even have them on.
I recommend getting 1/2 a size bigger b/c I first ordered a 6, they fit just right... perfectly but I wanted a size bigger b/c I will be wearing them w/ socks. So just a hint. So I sent them back and they came A WEEK AFTER. AWESOME.
They get dirty at the bottom very quickly.
Be careful if you have wood flooring.

Rosette03/02/2013ODD FIT
These shoes fit oddly. Too much room in the toes, and the heel is too short, it slips right off. The toggle is pretty much useless. Also, if you prefer to not wear socks/tights, the interior is REALLY itchy. Not recommended.

Terpsichore07/26/2012EASY AND LIGHTWEIGHT
These are lightweight and easy to slip on. However, I wear an 8.5 street shoe - sneakers, and 7.5 - 8.5 in regular shoes, and I ordered down to a 7, not up 1.5 like they suggest. I have a wide foot, so they are snug, but I like that in a dance shoe, and they expand when you put them on. They seem like they'll be very breathable, as well. Only thing I'm not crazy about is the way the toe comes to a point, but it's more of an aesthetic than anything else, and I think it's necessary as they've reinforced the toe. I have only tried them on, so I can't review on how it feels to dance in them yet, but they are really light and easy and feel great just wearing them so far.

I bought these for comfort but I could have gone a little smaller on the sizing. I am actively losing weight (goal is about half my current body) to relieve pressure on my knees and other joints and to feel better. Life style changes were in order and include much more activity and since I will only do what I like, I choose dancing and walking. My street shoes can range from a 7 to and 8 but ordered an 8 1/2. They are just slightly longer than my toes which works out really well for me as I also have a tendency to have ingrown toenails.

ellie11/10/2010 Houston,I REALLY LIKE THESE SHOES.
I really like these shoes. After wearing dance sneakers for both folk dance and west coast swing, these really make me feel more feminine. They're comfortable, not hot to the feet, and hopefully will last a long time.

I bought this dance sneaker as the same size as my street shoes and it fits fine. Just a little room in front of my toes, but it's okay. I danced in them for 6 hours straight and my feet did not hurt at all. I used to wear heels to practice in, but my feet would be killing me within 2 hours or so. These dance sneakers work wonders and they support my feet! Love them!
