This is my first time wearing the Bloch Jetstream pointe shoes, and they are quite different from the European Balance I was wearing before. For starters, the Jetstream lacked the cushion at the toe of the box (which comes in the european balance) and it took some time and adjusting to get used to. My second toe is longer than my big toe, which makes it difficult to stand on pointe without discomfort. So the extra cushion in the European Balance helped relieve stress on that toe. Although the Jetstream lacked the cushion, it makes up for it in the inner lining of the shoe. The shoe is lined with a soft pillowy felt that gives extra cushion to the metatarsal area and hugs the foot nicely. The box is slightly tapered, has a medium length vamp, and a non-stretch drawstring. If you have a relatively boxed foot while standing, and a tapered foot when pointed, then give the Jetstream a try.Getting used to the shank, was definitely the hardest part to get used to. The European Balance has a full shank and can come in the moldable version (which is the one I had). The shank seemed to die very quickly in those shoes, and it was very easy to pull the shank completely out of the shoe after a few wears. However with the Jetstreams, they are quite a bit thicker than those of the European Balances. Towards the metatarsal area, the shank gets to about three quarters to an inch thick. This can make it very difficult to break in and roll completely through the foot. But the shank has lasted a significant amount longer than the European Balances. All in all these shoes are very pretty on the feet (but they do make your feet look a lot thicker and less pointed due to the thickness of the shank), are amply padded for comfort, and last a long time.

ViolaDancer11/11/2015GREAT PAIR
I have tried many pairs of shoes to find a good fit for my feet. I need a short vamp, low profile, narrow width, but long in length. I have tried Freed Studios, Freed Studio IIs, Russian Pointe Sapfirs, and Suffolk Starlights. I decided to try Bloch Jetstream and finally found a good match. I don't know about durability yet, but even if they die pretty quickly I am pleased with the fit.
I wear a street shoe of 9.5 women's (41 European) and narrow as narrow can be in width.
My Russian Sapfirs were Vamp 1, V vamp.
Bloch Jetstreams are 7.5, A width and I love them!
I am intermediate adult dancer (grew up dancing, still going strong). I will be ordering again.

WesternDancer04/03/2014TERRIBLE!
I was so disappointed with this shoe! The color is not ballet pink; it has an orange tint. Also, I am a skilled pointe dancer and I need a more advanced shoe. I chose this shoe because it was considered an advanced shoe, but the shank is so stiff and the the toe box is so big that a beginner could use this shoe. As far as the "built in padding' goes, there is none. This shoe was such a let down.

MsKatie10/05/2012GREAT SHOES FOR SHORT TOES
I am a professional dancer and it has taken me nearly 20 years to find a shoe I like so much. I have a high arch but short toes so to find something that supported well but didn't put too much strain on my achilles tendon has been hard. These shoes are wonderful! I feel so centered and the rise from demi to pointe is so easy, the support is fantastic. They do break in somewhat quicker than others, but they really conform to your foot nicely. And for the price, I'm not complaining! They are also quite comfortable. I do not like to wear any kind of ouch pouch or lambswool in my shoes, I'm old school, so the padded box is rather nice! Love these!! Thank you Bloch!

Comfy1804/08/2012GREAT SHOE CHOICE
I don't have great feet but am a strong dancer. After having been through nearly every pointe shoe style imaginable I found the Jetstreams and love them. They make my feet look nice and are supportive while still easy to dance in. They low vamp is also great for somebody with short toes like me.

These are my first pair. I've had them for 2 classes now. They were easy to break in and they make my foot look really good. As for comfort, I wear gel bunion guards and ouch pouches with them. My feet hurt (totally expected), but I never have to adjust the shoe in class. They are gorgeous and everyone comments on how nice my feet look. They are a great buy.

I like the color and style of these shoes but they squeak a lot when you first wear them. The sizing is true I wear a 9 1/2 in street and a 7 1/2 B in these. The shank is great!!! not to strong or weak. It gives me way more support than my old Capezios. The only thing is that the box wears out really fast and I do about three classes a week on pointe for one hour each and after the first two weeks the satin toar off the bottom. Other than that this is a great shoe with good support and comfort so just give them a try and see what you think. It may have just been the floor at my dance studio that made them squeak.

Jules 07/29/2013 Age: 18 to 24 Alternative to the Sonata?
I've been using the Block Sonata and love the comfort of it as it fits my foot perfectly. However, I would like a shoe that offers more support for the ankle. Which Block shoe might be an alternative?
Unfortunately there is no pointe shoe that assists the ankle. If you are finding trouble with your ankle strength we would recommend using a separate ankle support. - DDS Customer Service (08/05/2013)
I know that certain types of BLOCH pointe shoes have the foam cushion at the tip, is that the same with the Jetstreams or is it different kind padding?
Unfortunately we do not stock this shoe here. However, the upgraded foam cushion was depicted to us by Bloch as being universally the same for all of their pointe shoe upgrades. If you are really concerned then I would highly recommend contacting Bloch directly through their website, blochworld.com. - DDS Customer Service (06/19/2013)
There is no foam padding in the Jetstream. - Violadancer (11/12/2015)
I would like to try these but am wondering if they would suit my foot. I have a square foot, extremely high arches and a narrow foot. I use alphas normally but have to have two extra sock liners in them to take up the width as they do not make no X in that shoe. I see these come in an A width and would like to see if I can get a shoe that has a better width fit for me. would the work?
This shoe has a tapered box, average vamp, med crown, and medium shank. I was not able to find out the heel width but without a square box, it may be uncomfortable on your foot. - DDS Customer Service (04/15/2013)
I have very narrow feet and these are the first shoe that I have found with a width that accompanies my narrowness. I also have a short vamp and low profile. - Violadancer (11/12/2015)
dewdrop 10/22/2012 Scranton, Pa, Usa Age: 25 to 34 What type of feet are Jetstreams best suited for? I have square feet, short toes, and low arches.
The best suggestion to see if this style would work for you is to have them fitted at a local store if possible. If not suggested fitting on this shoe is 2-3 sizes down from street shoe. - DDS Customer Service (10/22/2012)
