Classic styled practice dress features a tank leotard body with an attached skirt. Princess seam construction for a flattering fit that elongates a dancer's line. Front bust shirring held with binding trim. Finished with top stitch seam trim. Qwik-Wik front lining.
This is really a beautiful leo/dress, but I was disappointed that the skirt is made of basically the same shiny fabric as the leo. The leo fabric is just a bit thicker. I could tell from the picture that it would be the case, but I thought it would look better until I tried it on. i also didn't realize quite how shiny it would be in person. It's very cute indeed, but my next dress will probably be a Wear Moi.
Great fit though! Very soft, good weight, nice length in the torso. I also really wanted a classic tank leo and this is a beautiful one. I would recommend it for partnering classes or just feeling like dressing up for a change.
My studio used in Ivory for a 12 person dance. It was very comfortable, and we all fit well into them. The only thing was up close the costume was somewhat see-through. You could see the lines of our tights and our Over-Under. Other than that, this was a great buy and we all loved it. Everyone fit into it well, from girls who were a C cup to A

For this dress, how long is the skirt? I plan to order in a medium and I want to make sure it won't be too short.
This skirt is rather short. Similar to most ballet skirts, it ranges from 8 to 10 inches. - DDS Customer Service (02/24/2014)
Hm... I have a 39-40" hip and I'm 5'8", so I got the Large. On the Large, the skirt covers my rear with an extra 1-15" in the back. It's slightly shorter in the front, but very comfortably covers the bottom of the leotard. This clearly intended to be a short skirt though, just brushing the top of the thighs. I'm sure it will depend how tall you are. I can measure if you want, but the Medium is probably shorter. - Juliette (03/12/2014)
