    OVERALL GOOD QUALITY SHOE

We have been purchasing this shoe for several years. Both of my girls have been dancing since they were 3 and love Ballet! This is their go to shoe year after year. They have tried several others but always come back to the Pro Quiet 2007. Overall we have had great results with quality however on a few occasions we have had manufacture defects. DD has always been great about returns and replacements. Most recently we received shoes with dented boxes. We know that DD will do their best to replace the damaged shoes in a timely fashion.

    SO FAR MY FAVS

I had try several brands, and so far this are my favorites, theyre not as quiet as gaynor, and not as hard as russian pointe, but i buy hard shank and break in a little by hand for my left foot and medium shank for my right foot.

    GREAT SHOES

These shoes are great! I have a very hard foot to fit. I have big feet that are extremely narrow. My toes are very tapered as well. I got this shoe in 1X and they even fit my crazy narrow feet. Before I have tried the Bloch axioms. They were nice but weren't perfect. These have been the best ones that I have tried yet. I got the medium shank and they support my foot nicely. I have fairly low arches and this shoe shows off my foot and still gives it the support it needs which is perfect. The way that it is made quiet is by adding extra layers of a canvas material to softens the sound of the hard box smacking against the ground. The idea of making a quiet pointe shoe worked beautifully while keeping the shoe light. I haven't found a better shoe for my foot but I will keep looking. I love this shoe. It is my perfect fit.

I have been on a desperate search for a pair of shoes that fit my super skinny compressible and flat feet. I was having issues with my bloch axis supporting me in class. I was worried these shoes may be too strong for my foot but I had underestimated how strong my feet have become since the summer. When I tried these shoes on it felt great. They were a little tight in that it was biting into my pinky toe. It was something though I knew if the shoe would be broken in the right way it wouldn't be much trouble. I have the 6xx and if I tried a 3x it would have been too big and a 1x would be too tight. The shoe also supported my metatarsals just right. I have a greek foot with tapered toes and a compressible foot. Low profile and a small heel. I was able to achieve a great pointe and felt well balanced in them. The medium shank was just the right kind of strength I needed. I was worried for break in time because I needed to find replacements for Nutcracker and fast. I sewed them up and wore them in class and found they easily broke in at the demi and in the shank. I followed Grishko's website referral in how to break in the shoes. With also my own method of pressing at the pinky toe side to break in and soften the edge for my toes. I have a little lambswool at the bottom to soften the slight touch I have with my toes, use bunheads fluffs wool toe pads, toe spacers, and some toe tape in the shoes. Despite that, when my foot lies flat it's comfortable. When I'm up en pointe I'm supported. I do really appreciate the sole of the shoe when I do flat footed promenades. I can do them with ease and don't wobble horribly. I also really like the extended heel. When you go through demi the heel stays on but the fabric some how extends at the sole of the shoe. It doesn't pull on you or rub your heel raw. Nor does it slip off. It looks odd at first but I don't think too many people notice or care. It's a real comfort to me to be able to be able to do demi work without my heel slipping off or cutting up my heel. These shoes are a little clanky when running or doing particular foot work. Though they are not as loud as Grishko 2007, but still louder than my bloch's. I just chalk this up to a stronger paste and shoe and am not horribly bothered by it. I'm very happy to have found these shoes and have ordered more for Nutcracker.

    BETTER THAN MOST

I love love love Grishko 2007's, seriously they are like bedroom slippers after a few hours, so I decided to try the pro quiets to see if they would last longer. They fit and feel completely different! I feel they may run narrower, and while the 2007's were flat and stable standing flat footed, these rock side to side. As for being quieter, my 2007's were super quiet once broken in, so didn't see much of a difference. overall these are still good shoes, but the 2007's are so great, I am going back to them!

    COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!

I have never been happier with a pointe shoe. After four + years on pointe and going from Grishko to Bloch, to Russian Pointe and then back to Grishko, I've found my perfect shoe. I have a fairly wide foot up by the ball, but my heel is the. The shoe is great! I have a habit of going too far over on my pointe shoes, but the 3/4 shank allows me to break them in at the right spot and not go too far over. It's a great shoe, but if you have high arches, the 3/4 shank may be uncomfortable.

    OVERALL GREAT SHOE

After trying many different brands and models of pointe shoes, I have found that the Grishko 2007's work the best for my thin, medium/high arched feet. I have tapered toes, so the tapered (but not too tapered!) box is very flattering and comfortable to me. The pros of this shoe are that they make my small feet look long and elegant and they allow me to feel the floor. Cons would be that the satin is very slippery and the box is quite noisy, which makes jumping to your fullest a bit awkward. Overall, I think this is a wonderful product, but pointe shoes are very personal and what works for one person might not work for another.

    FINALLY RIGHT FOR MY FEET!

I have overall wide feet with really high arches, but then my big toe is more than 1 centimeter longer than my other toes. Most shoes that are wide enough for my feet end up putting all of my weight on my big toe. I tried all manner of stuffing to try to balance the weight but nothing really worked. This shoe sucessfully supports my feet in the arch and joint before my toes. I have a much easier time dancing! I would recommend these shoes for people with very uneven toes like mine. Also, the padding does make them quieter. I am in my 30's and weigh 150 lbs but I'm quieter than the 12 year olds most of the time.

    LOVE THESE SHOES!!

I have extremely flat feet, and always have trouble getting over my box :( but these shoes are great!! they are pro quiet (padding on the outside of the box) so they're a lot better than normal 2007's. they have a perfect-sized box, great for balancing. I've done at least one quad on pointe per day for the past WEEK!! If you have flat feet, these are a great option, if your arches are higher, just get the harder shank, and they'll work great too!! :)

    MEANT FOR PROFESSIONALS

I bought these shoes hoping they would be like the plain 2007's but just quieter. I have very high arches but I could not get all the way up on to pointe. They were impossible to break in, which I never did break in. And they ruined my feet. Unless you need the support and are a pro, don't buy these go with the original 2007's.

    THESE SHOES ARE WONDERFUL!

These are the one kind of shoes, after 10+ years on pointe, that work perfectly for me. They look gorgeous, fit my foot wonderfully, are quiet, comfortable and break in well. My arches look great in these. I love dancing on a really soft shank and I am glad that now I have the option without first putting my shoe in a blender. Wonderful!

More tapered (and perhaps narrower, too) than regular 2007s. I've always gotten Medium shank before, but I decided to try Hard now--they were harder to break into in the beginning, especially at the 3/4 arch, but then I think they became even softer than the Mediums--at least in the places where I didn't need them to (too soft 1/2-way in the arch and the box metatarsal area). But the mediums are the perfect balanced shank and regular 2007s give a better feel of the floor. My right foot ends up very winged and goes waaay over past the platform--which looks fabulous, but can be a little painful for my ankle after standing on that foot for a 2-minute adagio. The left foot doesn't wing and go over as well when the shoe starts dying--it sickles a little and wears out in the middle of the platform as opposed to the edge of the top as on the right foot. I have Giselle toes, med-high arch, narrow heel (which is a bit of a problem with the 2007s). I have very shallow toes and collapsible metatarsal (so I need a wider flatter box, as opposed to a Blocky round one, to keep me from sinking)

    NOT FOR ME...

I broke the shank real fast!!! I was not very happy, neither was my mom since I have to get new ones and these cost me a lot more at the store I go to than they sell here on DDS. Also, I could barely do single pirouettes in these, when I could do doubles perfectly in my Blochs. So, I am going to try a different shoe from Grishkos or go back to my Blochs.... My feet just weren't meant for these shoes, but I'm sure that some of you are going to love this shoe. :)

    FANTASTIC SHOE!

I have had this shoe many times and love it very much. I kept trying the shoe then skipping around looking to see if there was something better. Nope--for my foot, there was NOTHING better. It gives you a nice pull up in the arch, it sucks in your little toe joint and keeps the pain minimal, for the most part... but come on, they're pointe shoes. You can't find one that's completely painless :)

    NOT SO QUIET

I like these pointe shoes a lot!!! But they are definitely not as quiet as you would think. They are exactly like the Pro Flex, except they have more padding in the block and makes it difficult to balance. (Which isn't so good when you are trying to balance for the sleeping beauty rose adagio :( But I like how this shoe has a flexible shank while keeping a strong sturdy box :) Oh ya, and the 2007 actually are quieter after they are broken in. But oh well, I don't use these shoes anymore but they are good for beginners.

    GOOD SHOE

I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. They are super quiet compared to other Grishkos, and are fairly comfortable. The only problem for me was that the platform was narrower than what I was used to. So I am working on getting my multiple pirouettes back. But they do make my arch look gorgeous. I got a medium shank which has lasted about a week, so next time I'm getting a hard shank.

    GOOD

These were really good pointe shoes considering they were only my second pair. Before, I had Chacotts, WHICH I HATED! They were dead within 3 days. I have really bad arches and these Grishkos made me have better arches. The only thing I must say is that they slid off my ankle a lot but I think that's 'cause I sewed them funny.

Okay, quick rule of thumb: if you see a shoe described in any adverts as "PERFORMANCE READY," or a variation of that, then they won't last because they're not meant to. These are great examples of performance ready shoes: generic shaped box to fit many types of feet, easy break in for box and platform, easy to sew, shank quickly conforms to arch, very flattering, etc. But any paste shoe that can be ready to wear in Swan Lake, after only 15 minutes of barrework, won't last you more than a week tops. Just expect that. Other than that, I'll stick with the regular 2007s - they aren't any louder and they are a bit cheaper. There's no such thing as a "QUIET GRISHKO," so you either love them or hate them for it, LOL. Me? I love 'em.

    YUCK!!!

I have never been a fan of Grishkos since the first time I tried them, because they are made to go from pointe to flat with no in between, a.k.a. with no ability to roll through. This particular type of shoe is completely unflattering, although I do have to admit, compared to the other EXTREMELY loud Grishko shoes, these are somewhat quieter. However, my strong feet are always rolling over in them. My recommendation: stay away from Grishko pointe shoes in general.

I have really strong feet, and the hard shank Pro Quiets are really great. The vamp is a little weird, but I was able to fix it by softening the top with water. They last as long as any other shoe, about two or three weeks, but they are really comfortable. LOVE THESE SHOES!

This is my first year on pointe, and it took me to try on 10 pairs of shoes before finding these! I have long and narrow feet, so it was hard finding shoes that fit me well without being too wide. Well I ended up getting these, and my dance teacher compliments me on my arch, and is now recommending these shoes to a lot of people. They are soo easy to dance in, and I do indeed have an awesome arch compared to everyone else in my class!!

SOOOOOO comfy!!!! Zero pain at all, and I don't even use padding. My foot is square but tapered (hard to explain) with high arches and these fit really well. My main problem with them is that they're SO LOUD!!! The word quiet means nothing. Also, the shank looks a little jagged, instead of nice and rounded when I'm on pointe. I'll probably get them again, but in a hard shank.

Are The Widths the same as Grishko Triumphs

I wear a 4 1/2 4x and i was just wondering are the widths the same?

The width options between these two shoes does run the same. Though the Triumph does have a medium crown, as opposed to the low crown of the Pro Quiet. The Triumph is also reccommended to go down 3 sizes from street shoe whereas the Pro Quiet is suggested to go 2 1/2 sizes from street shoe.

How do I know what size to purchase?

Im a 8 in jazz shoes but does the size change for the points?

You will have to measure the length of both feet. take the length that is the longest. The left or right foot. And use the longest as the measurement to go by. Make sure it is the exact measurement. measure in cm . Do the same for width. U can trace the foot on the flore. trace both feet. Other things to consider..... arch height; vamp; type of feet; etc.... Everybody has different feet. It will ultimately be ur choice! And its best to get fitted 1st with ur teacher! - Kittycat (02/07/2013)

also when you find out what ur street shoe size is, you take ur street shoe size and read the instructions by the description of the shoes , wheather you subtract or add 1 or 2 or 3 or 1/2 sizes to come up with the size of the shoe in length. - Kittycat (02/07/2013)

    Are they the same?

Will they look and feel the same as the original Grishko 2007?

The shoe is made from the same last as the 2007, just a quieter shoe on stage. ****Grishko's Pro 2007 is made on the popular 2007 last, with an added noise-reducing strip on the platform and pleats, and special glue for extra box elasticity.
