These have been the best pointe shoes I have had in a while! Low-profile, sleek, consistently-shaped, easy to balance! Hopefully these will NOT stop being manufactured!

dancelife00104/27/2014GREAT FIT, NT DURABLE
I had this shoe fitted in store. It fit great- I have long toes and narrow feet. The long vamp was great. The box was pretty hard, but the shank died within a couple classes. After a while, the box also made my feet look slightly sickled. I would've given this a higher rating if the shank didn't die so quickly. This shoe would probably make a decent performance shoe, though.

These look beautiful on my daughter's feet and she's able to get over the box easily. The only downfall is we've only been able to get, at most, 2 weeks out of a pair as they die quickly. Maybe it's just her feet.

PetiteBallerine07/28/2013PRETTY BUT A FEW PROBLEMS...
I got these shoes as my first pair of pointe shoes. They were comfortable, supportive, and looked great until about 4 weeks into wearing them. My right shoe's shank had been sewn in weirdly and it made my feet look sickled not at the ankle but at the toes! It only got worse the softer they got. I tried them again thinking that it was just that particular pair but it was not and I had the same problem. I switched to Bloch Jetstream and I do not have that problem. I really wanted to love these shoes, but they just did not cut it. The second pair died quite quickly because I have high arches and I killed them within a few weeks. This would be a good beginner shoe though, especially for lower arches.

molsmama06/03/2013GREAT SHOE FOR LOW INSTEPS
This shoe is very comfortable and has become my "go-to" pointe shoe. I have low insteps and have to work hard to maximize my arch. This shoe breaks in easily and quickly. It is important to be diligent about not sinking into the shoe, really working through demi-pointe and full pointe. These shoes have been helpful and flexible enough to allow me to improve and strengthen my feet.

ballet4life05/29/2013GREAT BUT EASILY BROKEN IN
These pointe shoes are great for people with low arches and not super strong feet. They have a relatively wide platform. However, they are really easily broken in, and runs a bit small. i am a street size 6 1/2and I got 5 and it fits me.
I still havent found "the shoe" but these are pretty close

Brynn10/20/2012SICKLED FEET
At first, these pointe shoes seem like a dream come true. They made my fairly flat feet look arched, and the low cut helped me get over my box. However, the box, once broken in, angles slightly in, which makes it hard to get over the box and makes feet look sickled.
Both a girl at my studio and I noticed this, and won't be getting them again. The longer you wear them, the worse they get.
I switched to Grishko 2007s and found them more reliable.

Dancer2304/06/2012GREAT POINT SHOES.
I have tried sooo many different brands of shoes over my 13 years on pointe. As a dance major in college I need a shoe that is going to last more than a week. Luckily, I found these and I love them! Also, I have wide feet and bunions, and many shoes don't accommodate them. The U shape really supports my bunions. My feet never looked this good in pointe shoes. The ONLY problem I have with them, is that they fit length wise on flat, but when I point my foot or go up the fabric on the heels bag in the back. For a comfortable, good looking shoe otherwise, I can handle a little extra fabric (it doesn't change the fit).

This was my fourth pair of pointe shoes (I've been en pointe for about 8 months). It is hard for me to find good pointe shoes because I have a wide foot and toes but a very thin heel. I actually really liked these shoes at first and they make my right foot look beautiful, especially from the side. They are also very comfortable once your foot gets used to them. But the sole of the left shoe was actually sewed on crookedly (making it impossible not to sickle a little bit). If they were made better I would deffinetly reccomend them, but I think I am going to try a different brand next time.

Claire07/24/2010 Virginia,MY FAVORITE SHOE SO FAR!
I now have my first pair of Mirella pointe shoes (after trying out a few other brands) and I am very pleased with them. They look and feel a lot like Gaynors (which are way more expensive) and really show off your arches. If they seem to narrow at first, just give them time and they will flatten out and become more comfortable.

I like the way the shoe breaks for me, and my feet are strong enough to wear them from brand new and hard to almost mush. I only 3/4 the shank and soften the demi a bit before I can wear them. They last a while for me, a few weeks. That's pretty impressive. I dance for up to 10 hours a day, 5 days a week. I like how flat they are when standing, but the plasticy shank is not so nice. I like the Freed shank, even though they die quickly. This shank does not bend at the demi until the wings have softened a lot. It takes me about two classes to get these comfy. All feet are different, and how we like our shoes are different, so trying them on in the store with the direction of a teacher you trust is always helpful.

Patti01/01/2010 Philippines,AMAZING POINTES! :)
I just got this yesterday and I was so excited to fit them right away. The first thing that I noticed, it was really rather flattering! :) I have a flat foot and a sort of wide one too, but with this pointes, it sort of hid all of it. :)
Today was the first time I danced with it at home, trying it out. It has a hard box and a good enough shank to make my feet look like as if I have an arch. It's so fun to turn with and balance. The only problem that I have with this is that the vamp is sort of not long enough for me. Other than that, I totally recommend this pointe shoe!

psychoballreina09/26/2009 Cali,
I've been using Mirellas for a year now and they are are AMAZING! I don't have the best of feet, but they're not that bad either. These shoes make my feet look amazing and I can work through them very well. The only other tid bit I have is that they're a little tighter than the suggested fitting on me, and my feet are very narrow. Otherwise, great for people who wanna make their feet look fabulous while at the same time having a good sturdy shoe.

Anonymous08/03/2009NOT SO GOOD
I didn't really like these shoes. They gave me bruises on the joint of my big toe and it really hurt. I bought them twice and the first time I got them I liked them, but the second time I really disliked them. Other girls at my studio have had them and had the same problem.

Delilah03/08/2009AMAZING! BEST SHOES FOR MY FEET!
The shoes are amazing for my feet. When I went to get fitted at Capezio, it took about an hour, and when I went to a store that sells Mirella's and got fitted with Mirella, it took only about 15 minutes and I still got better shoes than the Capezios! For me, the Advanced pointe shoe helps me balance much better and also it only hurts a tiny bit to dance in them and it is just easier to dance on them and they feel so much better on my feet!

Primaballerina12/21/2008 Boston Ballet,AWESOME!
I love these shoes! It has always been hard for me to find shoes because I have such a "meaty" arch. These shoes kept me stable and made my feet look very pretty. After they start breaking down, they don't get deformed looking. After 6 years on pointe these have been the best shoes yet. I would recommend these shoes to anyone who had a strong arch and that had a tad wide foot. Excellent shoe.

Madeline11/21/2008 Austin Tx,LOVE THEM!
I love these shoes! They give me a lot of stability in turns and are easy to balance in. The transition from demi to full is also smooth. The shank is very soft and gives good support while still showing off my feet. My only complaint would be that they can be a little loud but that is fairly easy to overcome!

dewdrop 08/29/2013 Reading, Pa, Usa Age: 25 to 34 heels are unglued
I just received these in the mail today. When I took them out of the box the heels were unglued from the sole of the shoe.(It was like that on both shoes.) I had these once before and they weren't like that when they were brand new. Eventually they both came unglued. Are they supposed to be unglued at the heels like that like the Mirella Professionals or is this a defect?
The shoes should not be coming unglued. Please contact customer service to speak with a representative so we may resolve the issue. You can reach us at: 800-328-7107. - DDS Customer Service (09/03/2013)
I have had 3 or 4 pairs of these shoes, each one the heel was unglued. It did not affect how I danced at all, though. I would assume this is not a defect, seeing as I have had multiple pairs all like this. Hope this helped :) - Dancelife001 (04/27/2014)
I wear a 4 1/2 2x in Bloch Axis i would like to try these but none of the local dance stores carry Mirella i've heard that this is a great shoe to build up strength in your foot i have a low instep with a low arch i use a theraband to strengthen my feet and it helps a little bit but i would like to just try something new.
These shoes are sized relatively the same. Where the Axis recommends ordering 2 1/2 sizes smaller than street shoe size, the Advanced recommends ordering 2-2 1/2 sizes smaller than street shoe size. They are also both unique in that they both have "U" shaped vamps and low side profiles. For any new pointe shoe we strongly recommend being professionally fitted for them prior to purchasing as even ordering a size that is slightly off would risk foot and ankle damage. - DDS Customer Service (07/02/2013)
A lot of dancers at my school wear Mirella and like it and most of them have lower insteps/arches. I have a high arch and these did not work for me :( I suggest buying a few varying pairs in either size or width and then return the ones that don't work! - Petiteballerine (07/29/2013)
If you have a weaker arch, I would recommend this shoe. I have stronger, more flexible arches and I killed the shank within a couple classes, however I think that this would be a great shoe for lower arches to build up strength. The shank is very thin. - Dancelife001 (04/27/2014)
