i have been looking for a v-neck leotard for a while now. but, i also have always loved the way halter leotards look on people. and they never look good on me because i am a 34B and i would slip out of them when doing anything with my arms and that is not good in class because the only thing you should be worried about when your in rehearsal is your dancing and nothing else not about what your wearing. my only complaint ins that the back o it can get annoying tho i haven;t work it to class yet but i am so excited.

waterman12/27/2015GREAT SUPPORT
I received this as a Christmas present this year. The fabric is sturdy and has a little compression, which I love. The bust has a double layer of the fabric and a pocket where a pad from a bathing suit can be inserted for extra support. Everything is nicely covered, even with the deep V-neck. The back is covers everything and ends at the natural waist. Overall, a very flattering leotard that elongates the neck. My only criticism is that it runs small, so order a size up. I normally get a large because I hold my body and posture better when a leotard is tighter, but the fabric serves that purpose.

Although this leotard was beautiful to wear, after 4 or 5 wears this straps on the back snapped. It was sad as I wish I could wear it more. However, when it was in full working condition, I loved this leotard.

Ballerina212109/18/2015MY FAVORITE LEO!
This leo is so comfy and simple, yet I always feel pretty & elegant wearing it. I have it in black & I just ordered it in glacier. The material is high-quality, slimming and has a light compression to it.
Durability:
In the 8 months I've had it, I just toss it in the washing machine on a gentle cycle & air dry it, and haven't had any problems. I haven't had any problems with the little clasp thing breaking or coming undone or anything.
Fit:
It runs just a tad small. I'm 5'8 and 135 lbs with a short torso and the Large fits perfectly. I have a bubble butt and this leo covers things nicely (I don't like leos that ride up and expose my bum!) I still usually wear shorts though too, lol. The bust is pretty supportive, double material, and relatively modest. I'm a 32C and don't need a bra with it, nor do I had to worry about any "nip slips."
Design:
I love that it doesn't tug on my neck like other halters and give me headaches, and I love how it shows off my back. Also, I'm surprised no other reviews mentioned it, but on the inside, the self-lining in the bust has little openings like a removable-pad triangle bikini top & I imagine you could slip a thin pad in (hope that made sense).

lovetoeatmangoes06/15/2015NICE, OFFERS SUPPORT FOR BIGGER BRA SIZE
This is an interesting design. Even though the back is very open I was able to wear it for a summer intensive ballet class without a bra. It has a double layer of fabric over the surplice/halter top and it compresses and holds in pretty effectively - I am a 32DD - I had not too much spillage on the sides, and not too much cleavage, it has a minimizing effect. It also has extra elastic under the bustline that functions like a shelf bra so your breasts don't migrate down into the lower part of the leotard.
I found my hair got caught in the hook closure in the back when extending the head and neck in a backbend. This led to an awkward moment in class, although the hook did not come undone. Be careful to secure your hair well away from the back of your neck, or place the hook facing up to prevent tangles catching!
The fabric is very strong, super stretchy and smooth, holds in the belly and smooths your lumps and bumps out nicely. Were it not for the lack of a lining in the crotch area it would double as a great swimsuit.
I ordered it in my usual size medium, and it fits well but did leave lines on my skin at the seams and over my shoulders after wearing it for a few hours. It is tight fitting and putting it on feels a little tight in the hips. Any bigger though and it might not provide the support for the bust area.

balletbabe190905/27/2015FLATTERING LEOTARD!
Flattering leotard! I have a short torso and it made my torso look longer! Runs sightly small though. I usually wear a small or x-small, and after ordering the small, I wish I had ordered a medium. I would recommend this leotard though!
Being a larger chested dancer (32D-I ordered a large), I thought that this leotard looked pretty supportive, and I was not disappointed. There is no official "Shelf bra" but there is a supportive lining in the bust and the seam sits just right so that there isn't that awkward shelf bra that doesn't quite come down low enough (I find that Capezio is better about this than other brands). The straps pull up tightly so that the top is almost like a sports bra; I didn't experience any bounce in class.
The one major issue that I had was that the neck strap was WAY too tight. This may have been because my chest filled out the front too much, but I despise leotards that pull on my neck, so I actually just sewed about 2 inches of ribbon in the neck strap and sewed the end down so that the hook could go through it, which actually worked.
What I didn't know but actually turned out to be pretty convenient was that the two tank top straps that attach to the halter can slide around. Hooking the little clasp is nearly impossible to do without help, so to get this leotard on I just slip the straps forward, put the halter neck on, the pull the straps over my arms.
The material is also really nice. It's softer and stretchier than I realized, and port de bras felt great; there was no awkward readjusting happening after bending over.

emre08/26/2014VERY NICE!
I'm 5'5", 120lbs, 34B, and the medium fits just right. It's comfortable but I haven't danced in it yet, so I can't speak to the comfort during dance or durability .

Kat124507/03/2014FLATTERING AND STYLISH
This leo really is something special, and I get compliments every time I wear it. The leg line is a bit too low cut for my personal preference, but I just roll it up a tad and it works perfectly. I actually bought this leo in stores in a beautiful salmon pink color that I wish they had it online :(. I got it about 5 years ago, and the stitching is just starting to come undone in a few places, but I can still wear it easily. I have about 15 leos in my collection (even brands like wear moi and yumiko) but this one is still one of my favorites!!! I'm thinking about getting it in black too. :)

Belladonna10/16/2012BEAUTIFUL
I am 5"5, 105 lbs, and take a medium. One of my entire classes recieved these for a performance. Now, almost two years later, mine is still in great shape. The only problem, which happened to many of the other girl's leos as well, was that the plastic clasp broke. We merely sewed the ends together or refastened them with a safety pin. It is very supportive (no "lingerie solutions" needed) and the cut out back and deep v front are sophisticated, flattering, and comfortable. This leotard is fantastic!

prettyinpointe09/29/2012MY FAVORITE LEOTARD
I love this leotard; it is simple, but the open back adds something special. I am 5'6 and 110 lbs and the medium fit me perfectly; however, the leotard did shrink a tiny bit. Everyone should definitely get this leotard.

Annalee07/18/2012GREAT DESIGN
I love the design of this leo - I dislike how regular halters pull on the back of my neck. This one sits nicely without pulling. The "v" front is elongating, but modest. I'm 5'8", 36A, 130lbs, and the Large fits great. Very comfortable and easy to dance in - I love how I don't have to worry about the straps moving around.

Lisabeth04/06/2012CLASSIC AND ELEGANT
This leotard is so perfect. It it comfortable and elegant, and looks long and lean. It is a really good audition leotard because it's simple but also has some nice details.
If you have a longer torso, this is a good leotard because it's on the longer side, although I'm sure it would look good on anyone. It's also quite supportive. I wish it came in more colors!
I gave it four stars for durability because the little plastic clasp broke, but that was after I had worn the leotard alot for a good amount of time. I am going to just sew the straps together, which should be easy and won't make any difference to the fit.

What size should I get?
I am 5'7 and 32A/B bust
My girth is 60" but I've read girls 5'5 getting size medium and it still fits well
I'm worried that the front will go really low if i get a medium though
Should I get a SMALL or MEDIUM?
Thanks guys :)
The best measurement to go by for leotard sizing is the girth measurement. With a girth measurement of 60 inches, I would recommend a size medium in this leotard. Please contact our customer service department at 1-800-328-7107 for further assistance. - DDS Customer Service (05/19/2015)
The medium is a little tight on me and I am smaller than you. I would go for the medium or even the large if you're worried about the front being low. You could easily resew the back straps and the back halter to bring the neckline up slightly. They are just sliding loops and a single hook, very very simple and easy to alter. - Lovetoeatmangoes (06/15/2015)
Hi guys!
I am 5'7 and a 32A/B in bra size
My torso (girth) measures 60 inches
I don't have a very wide waist or hips
I read some of the reviews and there are people who are 5'5 and say the medium fits them so I'm a little indecisive
Should I get this in SMALL or MEDIUM?
PLEASE HELP

i have a very small bust (a) and was wondering if the v neck in this leo will accentuate the bust, have enough support and not be to low
This leotard does have a shelf bra, and will assist with support. The V front cut is a bit low compared to other leotards. - DDS Customer Service (01/03/2014)
I have a small bust too, borderline 34 A/B. I did not feel that the v neck accentuated my bust, more like a sports bra that smashes it down. The support feels good and it's not too low. - Emre (08/27/2014)
Emily5678 10/13/2013 Indiana, Usa Age: 17 or under who low is this leotard?
how low is this compared to other capezio leotards?
Capezio's mock halter leotard features a front empire seam with surplice bodice, low back neckline and an adjustable length neck strap. Other features include a moderate neckline and self-fabric shelf bra. Machine washable. - DDS Customer Service (10/15/2013)
It hits pretty low in the front. If you are busty it will show more cleavage than shown in the photos. Lying flat the "V" of the surplice is 3" from the underbust seam in size M. - Lovetoeatmangoes (06/15/2015)
anonymous 10/04/2013 Age: 17 or under What size should fit me?
I am 53", 108 and 34B with a fairly short torso. I am a small in most leos but a med in yumiko. A lot of leos do not fit me because my bust is big for how small I am around. They either fit my bust and are too big at the waist, or the other way around. Do you think I should take a small or a med?
Based on your height and measurements, I would suggest a size S in this leotard. - DDS Customer Service (10/07/2013)
