    HAPPY FEET

I'm a former dancer (still do some at home but haven't taken class in quite awhile) - I still rely lots of things I learned dancing. One is, lambs wool is the ultimate toe/foot protector! This particular wool is soft and easy to get the right amount & shape. My feet took a beating in my younger years so now a bit of extra cush in hiking shoes/boots is needed. This is perfect!

I AM NEVER GOING BACK TO TOE PADS!

Lambswool is so underrated! It fits where you need it to go and nothing extra or bulky where you don't need it. It wicks away moisture and the wool keeps you shoes from stinking! You can the same piece of wool, maybe 2-4 times, depending on how long you're on pointe. You'll definitely go through these packs about once a month, but they are affordable. Gel toe pads don't last forever either. I just use wool, with a spacer and toe tape on my pinkie, for the perfect fit. This particular wool is very silky and fluffy, and I like that it comes undyed in a plain cotton bag.

    SOFT YET STRONG

I've been using this exact wool brand/bag style since I was 13 & got fitted for my first pointes. Super soft wool that comes in a fluffy ball form. You just tear off a strip & wrap your toes easily. I never (and I mean EVER) have had issues when I use this around each toe. Usually with shoe inserts your toes can still rub together inside causing blisters, but never with this wool. I use about 3 [self torn] strips per foot, wrapping around each toe, loosely. I also use a small fluff-pad of the wool to press down into the toe box for more cushion-y feels. The protection is far better than any gel toe covering or cushioned shoe insert I've ever used. Oh and the wool stays put where you put it! Never moves around no matter what your feet are doing (I always wear tights with my pointes which also helps). The wool does not ever stink after lengthy (and sweaty) uses, and you can always buy more if needed since it's so inexpensive. I am now 32 & still use this wool with my pointes :)

    AMAZING PRODUCT!

This is great when you need a toe pad for certain areas in your shoe. you do not need very much and it is very comfortable. The only bad thing is that you do have to replace it after a while. But other than that it is an amazing product, and I would definantly recommend this product to a friend!

LOVE THIS! BEST FRIEND FOR POINTE SHOES!

I have pretty much all kinds of toe pads that are available on this website. I just never thought about using lambs wool because... it didn't really look like a toe pad. Then I saw other students using it, and wanted to try it. I spent so much on all other toe pads, so why not? And it's cheaper than any other toe pads anyway. I used this today with my ouch pouch jr that I normally use, and put some of lambs wool on the bottom where there are gaps. OMG! I felt no pain whatsoever. I also had a bleeding toe nail today, so I was in more severe pain than other days, but I had no problem dancing in them. I highly recommend this product and am going to order some more to stock up! :D

LAMBS WOOL VS OUCH POUCHES.... LAMBS WOOL

My first years of pointe I used ouch pouches and they were okay but when I changed brands of pointe shoes I thought I would give lambs wool a try as the ouch pouches caused pain in my feet. just not what I needed. The lambs wool was like magic it was so comfortable and I can put it right where I need it rather than where I don't. A little goes along way and its perfect for people who don't use a lot of padding in their shoes. LOVE IT WITH ALL MY LITTLE DANCING HEART

    GREAT PRODUCT

I am a huge fan of this type of lambs wool because it is easy to work with. You do not need very much at all to feel the comfort you need and expect. I also love the fact that you can wash it to reuse. I have noticed that after maybe 2 washes, it is best to replace. But washing by hand makes it last. My students love they it does not constrict the toes, but instead allows for wiggle room.

"IT'S SO FLUFFY I'M GONNA DIE!"

This lambs wool is so fluffy and relieves a lot of pain from being on pointe. I usually only use a little on the bottom of my pointe shoes, and it works magic :) I can still feel the floor, and makes my toes stronger, since I'm not relying on my toe pads. I highly recommend this!!!!

    MY FAVOURITE PADDING

a little goes a long way! I like lambswool much better than any synthetic gel padding, the wool lets me feel the floor without any pain at all. After putting my wool in a mesh washbag in the washing machine on a cold handwash setting, it is like new - soft and poofy :) oh, and I think this wool feels better than the Bunheads brand wool (the one that comes in pink shades). It seems to keep its fluff longer, not flattening as quickly.

    How do you use this?

We just received this in the mail. What's the best way to use this?

Cut the lambs wool into two pieces (size will vary, but make sure it?s not so much that your toes are crunched), stretch out the wool slightly and wrap around the front of your bare foot at the metatarsals, leaving excess on the tops of your toes and making sure all parts of the toes are covered. Cover the pad with your convertible tights and try on your shoe. With new wool, you may need to make a couple of adjustments, but as your foot sweats and you work with the wool it will mold to the shape of your foot. Once the pad starts to get really worn and tear, you should replace the wool to try and avoid rubbing blisters through the worn parts of the pad.

Can I wear these with Ouch Pouches?

The Ouch Pouches I have don't relieve pain on the top of my big toe, my kuckle of my big toe, or the knuckle of the pinkie toe. Can I put these in my Ouch Pouches?

Typically either lambs wool OR an ouch pouch/gel pad would be used. They are not often used together. You could use some lambs wool in them but you're not going to feel the floor as well. I might try gel spots, style #BH1422 or one of the gel tips (style #: BH1450, BH1451, or BH1452), to relieve the pain.
