They sound amazing (by far the best sounding taps I’ve ever heard and I’ve been in the K360’s for years) but literally broke in half after 5 wears. I’ve always loved Capezio and am so disappointed in the durability of this shoe. They were able to get me a new pair just in time for my show so hopefully it was just a fluke and these will last longer than a week.
I have to give props to the workers at Discount Dance, they got a new pair out to me in less than 24 hours! Bravo!!!

Love these shoes at first despite them running large. So I had to reorder a smaller size, and now overtime, they have stretched so much that they are slightly too big. The sound is great, but screws loosened on their own and now I can't make it through a class without having to tighten before I lose a screw. Last complaint is that they scuff easily. The material on the toe area peels off and looks horrible. Wish they would improve and issue a new version as I love the arch support and solid base for my tired feet.

MsMonica12/15/2015NICE SOUND AND WEIGHT BUT...
I had been wanting these shoes for a while and purchased them about 2 weeks before a performance. It was a big difference in the weight of the shoe and had to build up more stamina in my feet quickly, before the show!
Overall, I like the sound of the shoe, and they are comfortable to wear. However, I didn't care for the corded laces because I find them harder to tie/stay tight. Easy enough fix. My biggest issue now, that I've been unable to find a fix for, is that the heel counter (inside, where your heel is) is not structured well enough to hold the heel in. My heel slips in and out of the shoe slightly and pulls my socks down inside the shoe...which I find extremely annoying! I've tried putting in adhesive heel grips but because the inside of the heel is suede, the inserts work their way out and leave a residue on the inside of the shoe. And, when the inserts were in, they push my foot further inside the shoe, making them slightly too short. If Capezio would make them with a more firmly structured heel counter, this would grip the sides of the heel better.
On another note, the sole of the shoe has no flexibility against the arch to be able to bend the shoe to do toe stands. I have pretty good strength and flexibility in my feet and cannot arch the shoe at all. I can't speak to the durability of the shoe as yet because I have only had them for about 6 months.
I normally wear 9.5 to 10, and had to order a 9. My toe is almost to the end in these. Just right.

Whereas the new Tapsonic Tap shoe does run large in length it runs very Narrow in width. I usually wear a 9 medium in Capezio shoes, but the 8 1/2 medium i ordered based on earlier reviews is so tight around my metatarsals I could hardly bear to stand up in them at first. It currently does not come in a Wide, but the length in a 9 would be way too long for me. I'm hoping that spraying the inside with witch hazel and gradually breaking them in will alleviate the discomfort. The sole is a molded plastic that has no flexibility to it whatsoever but no doubt gives great arch support. I'm not sure yet if it is worth the asking price at this point but only time will tell.

Arieychka02/13/2015SUPPORTIVE AND INTENSELY COMFORTABLE
I love the look of the leather and suede upper, and the support and comfort of the shoe. More importantly, the toe box isn't crushing my hammer toes. This is the FIRST TIME this has happened for me in ANY dance shoe over my 46 years of dance. I dance on Marley, so the slippery bottoms aren't an issue for me - I'll glue on the bottom strips. The shoes do run a bit large, so I ordered an 8 instead of an 8.5, which is great. I'm only giving a 4 overall because the heels could be more snug, and I'm having to work around that. Otherwise, I love them!
The sound of these tap shoes is excellent! I normally wear high end Bloch taps and these put them to shame. I highly recommend them if you want a truly rich sound from your tap shoes. I found them to run big and had to get a half size smaller than my street shoe size, but I have a very narrow foot. They are also very slippery on the bottom because they do not have a leather sole. So, you need to be sure and buy the bunheads jet glue and apply the optional sloe patches. (Included, but the glue is not). Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase and highly recommend them, especially to dance teachers or serious students.
